Good basic hotel.

Had a room on the 5th floor, door to the bathroom didn't want to close, so had to us a bench to hold the door somewhat closed, didn't have a shower curtain and anything to hold the shower head, there was a string on the wall for the shower head but if you put it in it you had a out of control shower head which was like a wild snake and water went everywhere. Not to mention that if you want air conditioner and TV you'd have to pay 5€ for one total of 10€ for both. Terrible experience..

No aircon. Room not ready. Would not recommend.

Mediocre. Staff indifferent. Somewhat dilapidated. Cistern in toilet dodgy. But price, proximity to centre and 24hr check in all pluses.

First of all, the smell of pee at the front door was overpowering and the staff unfriendly. There was no hot water in the morning. Apparently some regulation. The TV and air conditioning seemed broken.

Bed sheets were clean but a.c or tv didnt work. The smell in the room was overbearing to be frank. There was graffiti on the balcony. Obviously this premises houses the vulnerable of society. The smell I can't get out of my mind.

Horrible. The owner stay reception yelling at his employees. He charged 1 euro tax plus 5 euros for the AC.

Booked a tripple room, only had 2 beds.
Reception staff are highly unhelpful seem annoyed you dare pay for staying there.
Air con is extra €5 per night but may likely not work at random times and turn itself off.
Bedsheets were dirty on arrival.
1 towel was provided but was heavily stained
Shops and food outlets closeby

this property is in a very poor and rough area.
A young family will not feel safe.
Staff are not that warm and welcoming and i particular one person.
You need to be a very secure person to stay there and be committed to relating well to staff.
Air con was an extra expense, towels were half the size of a regular towel.
The environment around that particular part of Omonia is riddled with drug addicts that openly participate in that behaviour.
If you want to rough it, have thick skin, single and have no fear of that environment that that is the place for you.
Having said all that i got what i paid for. I had a bed and a bathroom, was by myself and not with family and that was ok for me.
If i had my family with me, the Alma would be at the bottom of the list.
As for myself it was ok

The service was just terrible. The male employee of the waiting room did not know how to talk to a person. He was too rude. Regarding the cleanliness, everything was relatively clean on the first day, but then we were told that they clean it every 4 days.
Although it was close to the center, I wouldn't want to go there a second time because of the terrible service.

Location is good, near to the metro and bus stations but there are lots of homeless people around and fighting at night which did not make us feel safe.
The hotel was not clean, toilet was smelly and dirty, bed sheets was clean but mattresses and pillows were so dirty.
the hotel was charging extra money for air conditioner usage which was not understandable for me because we already paid for our stay and we were still not allowed to use the air conditioner.

You will have to pay for Air Condition. But the receptionist told me Air Condition was not working. So it was a very hot night without much sleep as the street is noisy when the door is open. There was only two small towels in the room and no hot water. The walls were spotted with dirt. Good thing is the TV worked. Not that I used it. And the checkin was quick

The place was intimidating and dirty. I was only going to use to store my luggage and take a shower in between my cruise and my evening flight. Got dropped off and stayed only as long as it took to get the driver to pick us back up (about an hour). Walked to grab something to eat and area was very run down. Not even AC was included.

Sorry to say this property is a poor hotel to have on your site and does not give the impression you are after as a reliable site. It was not a nice place. The gentleman who checked us in could not find our booking, gave us a key and herded us away. The room was basic (no problems there), smelt of smoke, wardrobe was rank, no drawers in the cabinet, and please don't let me get started on the bathroom. All in all it was dreadful and we sat on the beds (with marks on the sheets which I think were clean) whilst I went back on the app and booked a new hotel. All the time we were laughing our socks off, and commenting on how I had managed to book into the Bates Motel!

7 reasons why this was the worst hotel ever
1 Location seems to be the junkie, homeless and shady people area of Athens. Especially at night you have no possibility to feeling safe.
2 We arrived at 6 AM, just to put our luggage in the promised luggage storage before we could check in later. Receptionist was unfriendly and told us to come back at 13 for checking in and that he won’t take the luggage, so we had to carry the stuff for 7 more hours because we couldn’t even stay in the promised lobby (which did not exist as the pictures suggested)
3 The room
-Poorly looking doors
-Beds with partly missing planks under the mattress
-No blankets and only two small hand towels
-Dirty bathroom
-Cockroaches everywhere
4 There was the option to use the AC for 3€ extra per night. A must have in Athens in summer. Yet the AC looked like it will fall apart any second.
5 Balcony was in bad shape and unfurnished, and the view was terrible, abandoned buildings, and trash everywhere.
6 Our floor smelled like smoke and chlorine. The staircase was full of cigarette butts. Literally on every stairstep. In the staircase, we heard people scream and shout, saw doors broken, graffiti on the walls. Not pleasant at all.
7 After not even half an hour in that place we left and told the receptionist that we check-out already. He only smiled and said in a dry tone ‘okay’ as if he expected people to leave anyways without staying so that he can rip off more people.

Yes, it’s very cheap. And the area is centrally located, subways and nice food joints and coffee and atmosphere. And at night it could be uncomfortable for some due to it being rundown and perhaps a little dangerous. But, despite all of this, this hotel needs to improve and take care of its rooms, even if the price is cheap. The A/C, for which they charge 3 Euros for the remote control (not listed here in the details), was completely blocked with dust over the filter. I saw it because the AC cover was missing, and it just takes a few minutes to wash and dry the filter on the huge porch i had in a seventh floor room (a big bonus for those wanting to sunbathe in an urban atmosphere). But the filter was never washed. The toilet brush holder never cleaned. And the room never really cleaned between guests. It was nasty. The two towels were as big as foot towels in 2 star hotels, and we’re washed and dried on the roof, and coarser than paper towels. The sheets cleaned, but with visible marks of multi-human use. One hanger in a little closet. The irony was, that despite my multiple requests not to enter the room to clean on this three night visit, they came in every day. But never cleaned what really needs to be cleaned for this to be a livable-condition hotel for any couple on vacation. Alone, I was able to handle it. But most would run away and pay double down the street.

You get what you paid for. Extra is charged for air conditioning, and it’s in an area that you should not wander around in at night by yourself. The staff are nice, however, and are helpful. The location is close to the major sites in Athens as well.

this hotel is full of illegal immigrands from all the countries...near of the hotel also the same. Not clean inside. They charge you 3€ a day if you want to use air condition. the only possitive is that metro station is 100 meters from the hotel
