Great location
Very fancy hotel
The breakfast is very good.
But the Internet is horrible! very very slow and they charge you if you want faster Internet.
Their elevators are very packed in the morning and it takes more than five minutes to go up or down

Our overall experience was great. The lobby is beautiful. The rooms are older and not well maintained.

Location is excellent. Very convenient for access all. Staffs are very kind and friendly

The hotel is very well located on Avenida Paulista. The staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are comfortable and well equipped. The only problem was that the keys were damaged, but at reception they fixed them immediately.

The hotel was very clean, safe organized and in a good location

It was great hotel

I've been here before and loved the place except the Internet was slow when using a vpn. However since then they've improved their internet dramatically and now it is my favorite place in Sao Paulo to stay. I'll most likely be back multiple times

Great location. I love to swim and they have a lap pool!

This is my second time staying at Melia Paulista and it's a wonderful hotel, perfectly located near everything and the staff are stellar. This time I was in a renovated room and it was far better than the old ones!
I used the pool and the reflexology service and that was a wonderful experience.
It is qualified as a 5-star and it may be in South American standards but not for North Americans. There's nothing wrong with the hotel, it's just that guests need to understand the difference. For instance, the towels are a rough (but do a great job at exfoliating!), there isn't a full array of amenities like hand cream, body lotion and a box of tissue. The quirkier thing is not having a small dish to leave the hand soap so you have to leave the wet soap on the counter - it's a bit weird!
Regardless of these minor things, this is a wonderful hotel with the most delicious breakfast, and I look forward to returning to eat more pão de queijo!

Good location, terrible internet if you are on a business trip there are other nice hotels in the are that offer free decent wifi
4.0
The hotel is well located, people are nice, however I do Not recommend it because the wifi service is terrible. Signal quality was really bad in my room and they charge for it.
There are many hotels in the area that don't charge for wifi and have good signal.

I spent two nights and overall wasn’t a good experience. I had to work remotely- internet didn’t work. I paid 30BRL (fee to get a high speed internet) and it simply didn’t work. It affected my work performance. Housekeeping didn’t replace towels even though I left it on the floor. Robe offered smelled bad. Called receptionist and request water - it took them 2 hours to deliver it - I called multiple times inquiring about it. They said that because I had “do not disturb on they would not knock on the door”. Why wait 2 hours and multiple requests to say that? Not to mention that the day before during my work meeting someone knocked on the door (with the do not disturb sign on) to deliver a food that I DIDN’T EVEN REQUESTED! Charge high rates and poor customer service.

Staff was good but they need to work on maintaining the rooms and quality of the property

The internet was was horrible! I even purchased the fastest internet option and yet the internet kept dropping consistently while on conference calls.
To their credit they did try very hard to remediate the connection issues but it wasn't reliable. No matter what they did, it still kept dropping over and over again.
Worst internet connection from a 5 star hotel I have ever experienced and I have been to a lot of hotels globally.
Aside from that everything else was perfect.
Spacious room, helpful and polite staff, shops, malls, and restaurants nearby. Even a decent gym about a block away from the Hotel.
The location was at the center of Paulista avenue which was perfect. I do recommend the place but if you are in Sao Paulo on business or you're a digital nomad and
absolutely need a reliable internet connection, you might want to consider other places to stay. If the internet was functioning properly, I would have stayed much
longer.

The internet was intermittent. I even purchased the faster internet option and yet the internet kept dropping while I was on internet conference calls. To their credit they did try to remediate the internet connection issues but it wasn't reliable. Aside from that everything else was perfect. Shops, Malls, and restaurants, and even a decent gym just steps away from the Hotel.

2 star hotel. Room dirty, service zero attention. If you used to 4 or 5 star hotels, don’t even think of booking here
4.0
This hotel is very overpriced for the quality of it. I had booked a room titled as ”Grand Premium” but it really was far from premium. A very basic room with outdated interior, really worn out bathroom, broken lamp in the room, a really noisy fridge and a loud airconditioning that hardly worked. The common facilities are nice, but the reception staff wasn’t very helpful and the room wasn’t cleaned well enough.
Overall, I was very disappointed in this hotel as Melia normally has quality hotels (I’ve stayed in many), but this is not one of them. I wouldn’t stay here again, and it was definitely not worth the price of over 200 euros / 1000 reais per night.

I’ve been to NYC and have seen: Phantom of the opera , Mama Mia, Sound of Music, Jesus Christ superstar, Aquarius , Lion King, Joseph, and His Amazing Technicolor Coat and the production at the Melina Hotel was the same as Broadway. Unbelievable!!! Fantastic. Thank you

The hotel needs to improvement’s on service.
I had 4 luggage the guys in front just watched us and didn’t helped.
Checking in, took so long even though I did the pre-check in on the app.
The maids doesn’t know how to make the bed. The sheets were always on top
They have a hard time to bring information.
I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

The staff was polite and always helpful. My family and I had an pleasant stay. We highly recommend Melia Hotel.

Room was not nice. For the price, too simple, boring, sad.

The property is welll located close to Paulista. Ave, Consolacao and Augusta st. There are lots of restaurants around and good bar options if you go down Augusta st.
I just missed good coffee shops.
The hotel team exercises good customer service !

Hotel feels old, despite clean.

Horrible I will never comeback! Bathroom was disgusting, the shelf above the toilet was following of the wall, shower area looks like a public bathroom. The bed was very uncomfortable. I will never comeback
The most awful experience. Oh another thing on the website says parking available, but it is not mention that guest will have to pay.

Good location to walk to restaurants and shopping areas. Safer area of town. Hotel rooms and common areas dated. Not necessary plugs for business travelers in rooms and overall dated decor. Food during breakfast and overall restaurant experience below average. Staff friendly and attentive.

There are only 2 redeeming factors for this hotel, the staff and the location - both fantastic.
Lets start by saying this is not, and should not be advertised as a 5 star hotel. The room, while quite large, was deteriorating and unclean. Your feet gathered dirt as you walk through the room.
The bathroom was oddly small given the room was so large. The shower was good but overall the bathroom needs a renovation.
The bed was not very comfortable and the air conditioning was dirty and moist and massively impacted my sinuses. As a result of both issues, I struggled to sleep.
The staff were fantastic and all spoke perfect English.
Overall, if you want a secure hotel right on Paulista then this is fine. But if you want comfort then you’ll be disappointed.
I’ve stayed in Melia hotels before and they have quite a good name and this hotel did not meet the usual Melia standards.

It was great having the heated indoor pool, so I could swim every day regardless of the weather. The staff was excellent, friendly, quick to provide service and helpful. I recommend having them arrange for your taxi to and from the airport as it was only $36 US to go from GRU airport to hotel. Another driver charged me $160 to go the same distance. The breakfast was excellent with lots of fruits, cakes, pastries, and savory items. One complaint, their key cards are horrible. I had to get them replaced about 7 or 8 times in only one week, but they always replaced them for me quickly. Also, do not pull your iPhone out for pictures on the street, as I know a couple people who had theirs stolen, one right in front of the hotel. But the walk down Paulista ave is great with lots of live music, great food, and art museums.

We stayed there before the new year. clean and its accessibility is really convenient to reach different areas around the city.
The bike and metro station are in front of the hotel.

This hotel is ok. It is clean however it is not a 5 star hotel by any means.
4.0
The hotel is very nice, but it should be improved. The A/C, the refrigerator and the hairdrier in my room were not working properly. The water available in the swimming pool was not cold. The swimming pool area is very decent but should have more life, with more seats for the guests. The reception is a little bit clumsy and the hotel lacks management. The hotel location is wonderful and very convenient for tourism. In general, the employees are very sweet considering the frantic side of this enormous and cosmopolitan city.
4.0
Hotel location is perfect as a tourist. The look and feel of the hotel is great. I did find the service to be lacking for a 5 star hotel.
