Accommodations were dated and mediocre at best. Bed was saggy and needed replacement. Room was also in a terrible location, as a ground floor room directly facing the outdoor dining area (almost always active with people) and therefore shades needed to be drawn at all times. Bedroom window also faced a shared space and shade had to be drawn at all times. Interior lighting was harsh, but had no other choice.
Hotel location was excellent including very easy beach access, but that had nothing to do with the facilities.

It was a great place to stay. On the beach. Room was great. Staff were nice and friendly. The rown is super. Its worth the drive down from Melbourne.

Some areas of the hotel were in need of renovations or updates. Overall the room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding with a wide selection of options.

The receptionist can be more smily other than that the place was very good.

Check in was so slow,,,, got keys half an hour late..... the room was not clean properly .... carpet was extremely dirty .... when we lift the sofa to make it a bed , it was full of popcorn....
the floors were dirty. It was just an average hotel.

We stayed in the Heritage Wing, where the rooms are old, and there's no lift. I recommend avoiding the Heritage Wing of the hotel. Overall, it was a good stay, and the breakfast was excellent.

Nice unit with good facilities. Bathroom was a bit dated with the shower over the bath.

Where do I start. We Arrived at 2.30pm. We were given at room
With a tv that didn’t work we called reception and a young man came to look at it he said he would be back and never came back. By this stage it was dinner time and I went to reception and let them know that the young man didn’t come back and how unhappy I was that we sat waiting for him. Whilst we were having our dinner. We were moved to another room and told to shower in the first room that was 1 floor up as the ahower in the second room was an above bath shower, as my husband has a disability this was not an option. We were then given another room that Upton arrival we noticed the front door open and a strong Oder of paint. Along with random tools and a room that was less that ready for guests. It was now 9pm and we where still
Waiting to check into a room that was even close to being acceptable. After all the saga we now didn’t want to stay as the experience left us just wanting to go home and that’s what we did. A weekend hunny and I were looked forward too was ruined.
I don’t recommend anyone staying here.
We were offered a refund that will possible take 30days to process.
What a horrible experience.

First reception greeting not overly friendly, difficult y with the tv reception, weirdly no allocated parking for the room having to park appropriately 100 metres away . Overall not a bad place to stay but have been in better.

Great property great room but pompous staff. Just make checking in simpler and more efficient please

Nice clean rooms and furnishings.

We paid extra for an “ocean view” room, however due to the large pine trees lining the property, the ocean could only be partially seen. Do not recommend the extra money, just opt for a garden or classic view instead. Our stay was ok but the facilities are a bit old and could do with a renovation.

We stayed in one of the one bedroom apartments with an ocean view. Fabulous siting. Apartment very clean. Much more than others I have stayed in at Mantra. Staff obliged when I requested an apartment further from the main building.

Booked at the Mantra foe a work trip and was pleasantly surprised at the fantastic ground floor room. It was very spacious, well-appointed and had an amazing location looking into the beer garden.

The rooms are quite dated, and the resort rooms are tiny, but the facilities are excellent and proximity to shops/cafes is great!

first family trip away as a couple with a young baby. Ocean view resort room was not what we expected, especially from the cleverly shot photos including what looked like a balcony to in fact be an enclosed window outlook. While the bed was comfy & staff were friendly and helpful some things we found odd were- finding two acceasible powerpoints in the main room, next to the bed we found no easy to find powerpoints realising we had to crawl underneath the bed to plug in our chargers. Having to rinse the bathtub before using it was not what I expected at this standard of a hotel not to mention recieving towels with hair and marks on them. unfortunately even with friendly and kind staff, if we were to return to Lorne we will not be staying at the Mantra.

Room was on the small side with small bathroom but opposite the beach with a bit of an ocean view. We have stayed at Mantra before. Location is great in terms of beach access as well as access to the main strip.

Overall, it was a really nice place to stay. The interior is a bit old looking and could do with shine upgrading. I've been to other Mantras and this one is the oldest looking.
The restaurant had a lovely atmosphere and the service was great.
I would stay here again.

Terrific restaurant, pool and exercising room. Modern rooms were great, fabulous breakfast and dinner options!

No pod or coffee plunger. Toiletries are good and plentiful. Nice outlook from our apartment. Couldn't get the chromecast working and TV reception in general is poor, with lip sync problems even when picture was good.
