The internet didn’t work which made the evening a little more boring since I wanted to get some work done. Maid almost came in on me without knocking though a beautiful beach and sight seeing

We love this motel. We’ve been coming every year and staying here for crab season. The lady at the hotel was amazing, she was running the whole show working her rear off. However, it is in serious need of repair and updating. We were disappointed the bar and restaurant was closed. We love the 50’s style bar, please don’t change it! In all the years we’ve been there, the pool has not been open. It may be because we usually come in October! Please revitalize this hotel, we love it.

This place is not a resort! The restaurant/lounge was closed. Pool closed. Short staffed. Little bugs everywhere.
This was false advertising! Very disappointed!

Pool was closed. Restaurant/bar closed. Water in bathroom was so hot it was dangerous. The room had an odor and when we asked for a different room on the otherside we were told it would an additional $50.- per night even though the room was the same - only the view was different.

Old dirty nice view but room are substandard shouldn’t be called a resort

Check in line was very long and very slow. Kids running up and down halls after 10pm. Doors slaming all night. Walls are so thin you could hear the next room snoring.

We stayed as a very brief overnight on the way to the southern coast. For our purposes the hotel had everything we needed, just a clean room with a comfy enough bed to sleep in. However, calling this a resort would be a stretch. The restaurant was closed indefinitely and the pool, which in fairness was indicated to be seasonal was also completely emptied and closed in August. The front desk staff was pleasant enough but seemed irritated at the share of the $275US I'd paid for the room, Expedia only paid the hotel $159US. If that's truly the rate they're receiving, I suppose it make sense why they're constantly responding to comments that are disappointed with the hotel that it's meant to just be a place to sleep.

We didn’t get the room we chose, place does not look as advertised, cleans bed but the bathroom floor was dirty and we found bugs around the bedroom, place says it has a pool which was not useable, this building looked like a 100 pls years old, did a little research and it’s not as old as it looks and they’re selling the hotel , I’m guessing that’s why it looks in so poor condition, not worth the price we paid for almost 500 for 2 nights

Staff is not available. Watery coffee provided in the lobby

Property was basically clean but in poor condition, holey lamp shade and curtains. Elevator broken.

Its just overall rundown, pool wasn't filled, elevator wasn't working and the bed was very uncomfortable.

I only saw 1 lady working at the Resort the entire time I was there (1 day). She kept busy so was never at the desk unless you paged her by phone. She was VERY friendly. Elevator didn't work, could never get TV/cable reception so had to find something on my computer., Couldn't make or receive phone calls. But oddly, managed to get service on computer and could text. Non-working pool. Only saw 5 other cars there during my stay also. The rooms were very nice and clean though - thank goodness. The Resort looks very nice inside and out but glad I only booked one night.

I asked for extra towels when checking in and was told to wait tell after 8am when we needed to be back on the road at 6am.

I thought the property was fine. Bed was comfortable. But unfortunately, the pool was empty and the hot tub wasn’t working, which was a big disappointment since that is why we picked the place. Everything else was fine.

Amenities listed on website are inaccurate. No pool, breakfast or AC. Rude service when this was brought up at check in.

They don't have room service, although they accept dogs, we didn't like it, sorry but this geo needs improvement in all aspects because it's not cheap,

Pool had no water in it and restaurant is closed permanently. When we asked about the pool not being open first we were told it was to cold. Then told it had been open but a women dropped her baby in it so they were told to drain it. It didn't look as if it had been filled in quite some time. These were the reasons we book this hotel in the first place.

This place has a beautiful setting. Best one in Waldport. What I can say is they were very understaffed. But very very nice & helpful. The few people that where there worked their butts off from sun up till way after dark to hold it together. Would I stay here again? Absolutely!! But you just have to have a little patience at times. It will be fine.

Restaurant was closed. Pool had no water. There was a residential hot tub which I have no idea if it worked or not. Just disappointed with the stay.

Calling this a "resort" is not appropriate. The pool was empty and offline (apparently indefinitely), and the restaurant was closed. Some of the exterior doors were broken, our lampshade was torn, some light bulbs were missing, and the place overall felt dingy and worn-down. The website made it seem "fancy" - which would have explained the high cost of a room - but it fell far from meeting its expectations.
I only saw one employee working there - both morning and night, so I wasn't sure whether to feel sorry for her, or if she was the owner and blame her for not maintaining a decent facility with enough staff.

The room was very dated. We checked @ 6 PM and were told that our room still had not been cleaned and they wanted us to wait. Pool and hot tube not working. Continental breakfast was a joke.
Place needs a major overhaul.

We brought our concerns to owners and they are clearly attentive and working on things, but the condition of the hotel is not as advertised (the pool is not working, but they suggest you use the nearby community pool, for example). Excellent location though!

Our stay was bizarre. We arrived and they told us we would have to wait a minimum of an hour past agreed time to check in because their previous guests had begged them to stay so no one’s rooms were ready. When in the room, staff walked in on us, there was sand all over, the pool was bone dry, the hot tub broken, no fire alarm in the room, a really awful light outside all night, the coffee was super watery… it was just a bizarre and weird place. Oh, and there was a restaurant attached but I don’t think it was open. It may have been. Just somehow strange.

The room was dirty. The toilet seat and shower were both broken. The pool/hot tub and the restaurant have all been closed for quite a while. The walking path to the beach has a bunch of garbage and a rusty bathtub on it.

We checked in and the room was still being cleaned, inside the place was very dirty, there was only one person in reception, answering calls and trying to help as,
We didn't stay there and they still deducted the money from my card,
and we were not the only family that did not stay there, they arrived and left, very bad experience with my family and without being able to find another place to rest.

The stay was comfortable. I was disappointed because the restaurant and lounge were closed, the pool had no water in it.

Filthy, filthy hotel. Absolutely disgusting!! Smells and completely run down! Owners are horrible with horrible customer service skills. Pool was completely drained during our 3 day stay. We booked hotel for pool only to discover in the evening it was drained. I let Expedia know the contacted hotel owners flat out lied and said pool was up and running properly. I average about 60 nights a year in hotels. This was by far the very worse hotel I’ve ever stayed at between the service and filth. It was 4 th if July weekend and we were stuck staying there as other accommodations were booked. Also hotel draws a very seedy crowd. Do NOT stay at this dump!!!

Great place to stay with amazing hosts.

Only one person working at front desk. It took too much time to check in. I requested a couple towels and I have to go and get them from the front desk. The furniture, toilet, shower, etc are old. They have a really good photographer because the resort pictures looked good but not so much in person. So disappointing!

We arrived at 6pm to check in. We were sent to a room that had not been cleaned. Dirty sheets, dirty bathroom, previous guests garbage everywhere. Not the room we had booked on line either. This place is a dirty, nasty, disgusting place that should be shut down. Our room was not cleaned until after 8pm. The place had 3 people total working there we were told. Everyone seemed very angry and unhappy to be there. Terrible experience!!!

The property is old but clean. The sound isolation is not very good, and I can hear the talking next door and the dog barking.

This once-great property can in no way be called a resort: A hotel, yes, and adequate, but definitely no frills. The pool which they are marketing is dry, and doesn’t have furniture to sit around. It has a great view back across the bay looking at Waldport, but the property needs more TLC. The room was clean but really quite dated. One lonely piece of art on the wall.
3.0
It seems kinda run down and it looked depressing. When we got there the lounge/restaurant was closed. The room looked nothing like the photos and was a bit on the small side. The linens are aged and looked visibly worn. The staff seemed to run on their own schedule. When breakfast and coffee were promised it wasn’t even out when we looked (about 7:30.)
We went on a walk around the property and there was debris everywhere, old rusted tubs behind the property along with a bunch of other random materials. The fire pits and barbecues outside were barely held together.
About the only thing going for this property was that is was the quietest place we’ve stayed… probably a reason for that.
