Great little room with an amazing view of ship harbor with the ferry terminal and islands beyond. There was a separate heater for the bathroom, and everything we needed. The coffee in the room, and the coffee and free breakfast was all great (waffle maker, bagels, yogurts, cereal, fruit, juice, etc. etc.) for any hotel, not to mention the price was better than many nearby hotels that dont offer a breakfast at all. Thisis our second time in Anacortes, and first time at this hotel, and i think we found our new go-to spot. Excited to try out the bungalows with fire places next time.

Needed a little R&R from home and some peace and quiet. It was lovely here and enjoyed watching the ferry boats and greeted by a deer on the first dayđ

The Ship Harbor Inn is located very close to the Anacortes Ferry Terminal, making it an ideal location for day trips back and forth on the ferries to the various San Juan islands. There are also fantastic dining options in the town itself, which is just a few minutes drive away, and many interesting things to see and do in the nearby town of La Conner and Deception Pass. Friendly and helpful staff, and lovely grounds if you just want to take some time to relax at the inn itself.

No kimonos in the room. Oh well, next time. I will bring the wife and we would insist on one of the jacuzzi rooms.
Excellent hotel, best I've stayed in while visiting Anacortes.
I'll be back.

Absolutely beautiful, nice rooms

The location was exactly what we wanted - biking distance from the ferry so we could leave our car and bike around the San Juan Islands. Initially the staff was very helpful so donât want to reflect poorly on the then. We did not receive any housekeeping of any kind for the four days we stayed. Typically if we have to request towels or housekeeping we are told at checkin and there is notification in the room. Nothing. Then when we called about checkout and went to checkout today the woman working was very short and then unavailable when we tried to checkout. We also had three very large spiders and a cricket in our room. Overall location was awesome but for the price we spent on the room the experience was disappointing.

We booked a pet friendly room through hotels.com. We were charged almost a full $100 more than the site quoted for the room. Upon arrival, there was no pet friendly room available for us. Further, we were told there is a $50 USD fee for pets, which the booking app made no mention of. The solution to our problem was a non pet friendly room but being charged a $75 USD fee instead of the $50 USD that we were already not aware of. Thankfully, we were able to get that extra $25 waved due to the size of our dog but it took multiple conversations with various staff members.
Staff were pleasant but put all the blame on the booking site. We attempted to phone after our stay to address the higher charge than we were quoted however, this did not resolve anything. Disappointing lack of accountability. The hotel itself was cute but just ok and very overpriced even before we got overcharged. Overpriced, overcharged and underwhelmed.

Friendly staff. Comfortable bed!!!! Dated but completely fine.

Room was very clean and appropriate for our night stay.
Being close to the ferry terminal made our departure easy.
In room refrigerator made a lot of noise.

Great location and nice rooms. The morning food selection was sub-par - not even comparable to so many lodging facilities who offer so much more in their continental breakfast.

The room and bed were super comfortable, and the view from the balcony was spectacular!

Super close to the ferry out of Anacortes. The staff was very accommodating getting us breakfast before our early morning departure. Thank you.

Overall this is a lovely place and is super close to the ferry terminal. Our room looked out to the lawn and water, with deer roaming throughout the evening and morning. I would recommend this location and look forward to staying here again.

Location for distance to the ferry was awesome, I liked having the kitchenette. But the bed was hard and uncomfortable and the advertised âjet bathâ did have working jets.
2.0
Beautiful location, very close, walkable, to ferry terminal, but not walking distance to town. Great view from the hotel, very charming, clean, nice grounds. Helpful staff. Uber difficult to get in this town.

Attractive setting with a lovely view. Great staff and accomodation.

We really love this property & had stayed there years before. Lovely setting & cute cabins & units near the ferry. Loved our unit, but the cleaning was not good! Hairs in bathroom & telephone had clearly not been cleaned in a very long Could swipe the dust off of it! Something that looked like blood on closet door âŚ
Breakfast was not very good & no attendant since I believe someone called in sick. Front desk attendant (who worked in another building) just couldnât keep up!
Do want to give them another chance, because we do like staying there!

There was old food in our fridge when we arrived and long black hairs all over the bathroom. The view of the water out the back patio was nice.

Staying at this property was like something out of a horror movie. Whenever you think something couldnât get any worse, it got worse. Where do I even begin?
It started with a lack of a military discount. Sure, fairly common in this area, so I didnât think much of it. The only room available was the hot tub room, AKA Room 29.
My first impression upon walking into the room was the assaulting wave of must and mildew that overpowered my nostrils. I immediately noticed there was no air conditioner to speak of(other than a janky rattling heater) so no way to circulate the bad air out. I ended up opening the window by the bed and soon noticed dead flies along the windowsill. Was this place even cleaned? My wife soon noticed that in the bathroom there was a dead beetle in the corner by the bathtub, and right above it there was the towel rack, which was wobbly and coming off the wall. We went back out to get some things from Safeway, such as a fan to remedy the poor air circulation and provide some white noise. Ice cream placed in the freezer melted instantly. Trying to connect to the wifi, we found the connection was abysmal.
The hot tub was nice, when it worked the first time. There was what looked like black mold growing on the mirror behind it. The door to the bathroom was coming off the hinges so wouldnât shut properly. The toilet later, overflowed and flooded the bathroom.
Sadly, there are budget hotels that provide cbetter rooms that donât cost $250.

Beautiful view and great location for visiting state parks and trails!

The hotel is in a lovely area, and it's very cute. We were there for business; our challenge was the outlets in the rooms. Also, I am 5â3 and had to crouch to get my head under the shower. This really is a lovely place and with a little updating it would be perfect. It's very quiet and there were deer in the garden eating, which we loved. The grounds are so beautiful they have a lot of little places you can sit to watch the sun set. Like I said a little updating and it would be perfect for those who need to have electronics with them.

Nice place. Ground floor units are noisy from upstairs movement and TV.

Lovely scenery at a quiet location on the NW corner of the island. Room had full kitchen amenities. I couldnât find the thermostat.

Dirty room and limited breakfast options

Very dated. Comfortable bed.

Needed to be near ferry terminal and this hotel couldn't be closer yet seems private, quiet and attractive. Staff was so helpful. Deer calmly grazed on property!

Fun and really easy to catch the early morning ferry to San Juan Island.

This is my second time staying here and it was better then my last stay. Everything was cleaner and the grounds looked very nice. Check in was very easy and parking no problem. Only had a few "strange" concerns or problems..I had to kill 3 spiders in the bathtub..OK I was brave..there was no regular coffee with the coffee maker only decaf.YUCK!!! Only one of the bedside lamps had working lightbulbs For some strange reason maybe a ghost?? The TV kept going on by itself at night...not earth shattering problems and the view of the harbor is great, plenty of outdoor places to sit at and see what is around. Didn't try the breakfast so can't comment on that
The bed was comfortable, tons of TV channels but not there to watch TV right? WiFi kind of spotty Same complaint I have at a majority of places I stay GRAB BARS in the tub/ shower Why NOT?? Towel rods are not grab bars and I don't want to be like Psycho and pull the shower curtain down if I lose my balance. Tub floors are slippery when wet and soapy and sometimes "old people" have a hard time stepping over the sides of a tub...lets avoid those broken hips!!!

Toilet wouldnât flush.
AC fan needs more white noise for sleeping.

Our queen size room wasn't quite what we were expecting. It was hot in the room upon arrival and all we could find was a heater - no fans or ac. I won't be recommending it to friends or family considering we paid $240.
On the other hand, the king size room was much nicer: hardwood floors, a private patio, and more space. However, there was still no fan or ac. My husband booked this room, and if I remember correctly, it was over $300.
The free breakfast is pretty standard, mostly dry goods like muffins and toast. Lacking in healthier, substantial choices, imo.
Not my first choice, but it worked in a pinch.

Not worth the money we paid. No housekeeping services. They didnât tell us at checkin. Room condition was marginal.

After staying here almost yearly for several years, I was disappointed with my last visit. My room smelled of mold and mildew, the water in the hot tub was not even lukewarm, and the linen was stained. I will gladly pay more. The corners you are cutting are lessoning your appeal.

Beds and pillows were very comfortable. It was nice having a private patio that overlooks the bay.

Lovely grounds, beautiful upgraded room, and a fantastic view. Close to the ferry terminal and very charming. Would definitely stay at again and high recommend.

Was even better than the photos and everything we needed! Highly recommend! Great breakfast too
1.5
Kind of overpriced considering the facilities they gave. We booked a room with kitchen in it, but they hardly provided any utensils. Didnât have any dishwasher or cleaning supplies. There was no AC, so it was hot even at night. Couldnât open windows as there were mosquitoes outside. Also the breakfast was not at par. Mist of the items were gone by 9am.

Continental breakfast choices were toast, donuts, waffles, milk, oj, cold cereal, yogurt.

Disappointed about lack of helpfulness and customer service at check in. Our ferry was an hour delayed so we got there 10pm when it was already dark. It was very difficult to find rooms in the back of building in the dark and hard to see signage.
Tried calling front desk three times but other than telling me where to find the text with check in instructions. Those instructions didnât say how to find the map or where my room is located.
Room was hot, 85F inside temp at 11pm (65F outside concurrently) with option to turn on baseboard electric heat but no fans or AC option. A ceiling fan would be much appreciated.
Very small room with maybe 18â from bed to wall.
Nice view from the property and peekaboo view from the room. Breakfast was sufficient with yogurt, bagels, cereal, OJ, coffee and milk.

Great place to stay before catching the ferry.
