Lovely historic building, clean and comfortable rooms in small town Kansas. Very nice staff, too. A great alternative to chains along I-70.

Very cool place. Loved it. Restaurant and bar on site. Food was great! Staff was very friendly. Loved the patio area out back and the firepit.

This boutique hotel was fantastic had real character with great staff who were very interesting and the food was very very good as well - could not fault it

We absolutely loved it. Our room was so beautiful. We loved the windows and the double sinks and comfy beds.
We enjoyed borrowing the hotel bikes and riding around to locate the 8 eggs.
Dinner was excellent!
We also enjoyed sitting in the garden as night set in.

Everything was great. We love this place. It's a really old hotel with a Restaurant downstairs. Was like going back in time. We love doing off the highway stuff.
4.6
Very unique building. Loved the history and the music on the back patio. Only drawback was the window above our door let light in and it shined in our face which made it hard to sleep.

Wonderful old railroad hotel in a funky old town in the middle of Kansas

Very nice staff, rooms clean and comfortable. Unique place that is not your cookie cutter hotel! Very beautiful and quiet place to stay. The only con would be that there was nowhere to get anything to eat after 7pm in town. Had to drive about 20 minutes to another town to get dinner, otherwise stay was perfect! Would definitely recommend!

This is an older Hotel but clean and well maintained. Staff was great.

The staff was outstanding!

The Midland has so much old world charm! We loved it, but if you are looking for modern amenities, go to a chain. We thoroughly enjoyed the history of this place, the decor, and the fresh eggs. Highly recommend for adventurers and those who appreciate a unique experience.

Our favorite couples getaway place. 10 minutes from Beautiful Lake Wilson. Fantastic food. Great service and dog friendly !

They have done an excellent job integrating modern conveniences into an old-time hotel. The breakfast buffet was the best I have ever had in the U.S. There were European touches of a 5-choice coffee urn, bierocks, kolaches as well has good old American biscuits and gravy.
4.6
Did enjoy the historic nature of the property. Bed was very comfortable. Would be nice to have a ceiling fan and less stark lighting on the bedside table. Overall a pleasant stay. Staff was friendly and helpful.
4.6
Disappointing stay: run-down town. Awful dinner . Unfriendly staff. Footboard of bedand stuck out. I ran into it during the night. Pointed corner hit my tum. Toilet behind door in bathroom. No grab bars in tub-shower. Sink cold tap (separate) only dribbled water, breakfast. Package oatmeal-no condiments. Only small dry looking oranges. Fake coffee creamer.

Property was even better than the pictures show. Clean, very quiet and lots of history in the building. I would suggest sitting in the lounge area and reading about the history of the area.

Wonderful hotel in the heart of Kansas. We took our time to do a walking tour of the city. Enjoyed the staff at the hotel, the dining options and the tours we took in the city. They are doing a nice job of revitalizing this town.

Quaint, charming, friendly, quiet, off the beaten path.

I absolutely love this hotel. It is the perfect combination of historic charm and modern convenience. It's wonderful to find such a gem in a small town in Kansas.

Beautiful older hotel. Very well taken care of. Food was delicious. Was able to walk around the small town after we ate.

Property was lovely. Staff was friendly, very clean. I would pay more for a suite on any return visit.
4.6
Old, small room, dingy and above all, a shower without any water pressure. If like rustic, this is the best.

Very nice place for a mid winter bluegrass festival!

Fun vintage rooms, dinner was well priced and drinks were great. Afterward went to the barn to watch the Chiefs game and had a great night.

What a great place to experience! Loved walking around the historic town and the hotel is extremely comfortable and gorgeous!

Wonderful hotel with great history!

Hotel Midland was so incredibly beautiful and what a find driving back from IL to CO! The history is so rich and it shows, walking around the area tells a lot about the landmark the hotel is. The bed was really comfortable and the bathroom was as expected, a little small but understandable considering the age nothing unmanageable. The breakfast in the morning was cute and fairly good, coffee and pastries. The place is incredibly pet friendly, we had our dogs and our floor had multiple other dogs and a cat! Everyone got along! The staff is friendly and accommodating. We happened to arrive as they were decorating for Christmas so it was fun to wake up to the decorations the next morning.
The only downside is the train that runs by sometime in the night/early morning. Our room was in front of the exit sign and a hallway light so both shined through the window above the door, the bed also happened to face that window. A shade over that would have been nice.

The room (101) was so tiny that we could not pass esch other, we had to walk sideways, one @ a time, and I only weigh 114lbs Also, that room is supposed to be "accessible" there is no way a wheelchair could get through, or even a person on crutches. We were very disappointed, we had stayed there before, and the other, not Accesable rooms, were much better size.

We were going to be arriving close to 9:00 pm and needed to eat. We called to find out what time the restaurant kitchen closed, and it did close at 9:00. However, the front desk suggested we could place a to-go order, so they could have it ready for us when we arrived. We did, and they did! Thank you so much for making sure we were well fed.

We absolutely lived the hotel. The room was a bit warm so we opened all the windows. However, the train blew through out front at 2am... HORNS blarring!!
Pillows too BIG for us. Luckily ours was in the car. Breakfast & the COFFEE several types, expresso, latte, cappachino were AMAZING. Farm fresh eggs & homemade pumpkin bread & pastries. Supp & salad available for $8. 😋👍😊

This is an amazingly quirky Hotel. Once a very high-end hotel/restaurant, this hotel retains all of its original charm. There is not much to do in that town or the availability of food options. We came on the night that the restaurant was closed. We were offered chili but alas, we don't red meat. We also arrived at the time that the air conditioning unit was being shut off for the season and the heater had not yet been turned. We were thankful that they had an extra floor heater.

The front staff dealt with my check-in without enthusiasm and welcoming banter, but they answered my questions well and explained dining options and reservations. Dining options are broafened with both a classic American dining room and a barbecue "barn and garden". Altogether a far better value and experience than you will find in the larger cuties in central Kansas.
Dining 5 of 5 fir options, service, and taste.
Cleanliness 5 of 5 ... no explanation necessary
Safety 4 of 5 minky due to restorative lock choices
Breakfast 4 of 5 due to casual handling
Best travel value for traveling adults that I have found

The history was amazing. Beautiful , if you like old, which we do! Karen at the front desk was so nice!

Lovely old building with the character beautifully retained. Really good home style cooking.

Loved this spooky and historic hotel! Gunner, who did everything it seemed, was amazing. The bed comfy. Restaurant yummy. Not sure what’s up with the creepy dolls but I adored that part ❤️🥰

While traveling needed to find something fast! what a gem! Very interesting and cool! The place takes you back in history. Loved it all
