Staff here are very pleasant and attentive. at check in, i was offered a better room, although i had to pay additional fee. I had paid for a lake view, but from this upgraded lake wing position, the view of the lake and mountain were excellent. not sure what i would have got !! Food in the restaurant was very good, and the buffet breakfast offered very many choices to suit probably all tastes. Rooms were clean, and room service was good too. Cannot really mark down this hotel, although i did not get the free drinks suggested by hotels.com we should get

Spacious room with spectacular view. Strategic location to any location in Tagaytay. Only problem was accessibily to rooms as there was only one elevator and a small one at that

Our family loved the food (especially the buffet breakfast), the spectacular view of the Taal Lake, spacious and clean rooms and specially the friendly and helpful staff! We didn’t like that we only stayed for 2 nights. Will definitely recommend it to our friends abroad and will stay longer when we visit Philippines again.

The taal vista hotel was very nice. The view, the staff, close to shopping center and amusement park. I really liked the live music at our table everyday. This review is from sir Michael.

A beautiful experience in every regard. Clean, quiet and comfortable. Outstanding staff that goes the extra mile to make their guest have the most satisfying stay. The views from the Lake view rooms are breathtaking. The restaurants service is outstanding. My second visit - I’ll be back again. No disappoints in any way!!! 5 STARS - SHOULD BE 10…!!!

This place was my childhood place to go to. Lots of good memories when my uncle and aunt used to bring us here every summer. Still amazing view and friendly staff.

Nice view of the lake (Taal volcano) from our room, but paid additional (upgrade) to have it. Misleading connotation of Lake wing which is not Lake view.

Absolutely amazing experience. You can book a lake view or mountain view room. I recommend lake view so you can see the volcano.

Spectscular view of Taal Volcano
Friendly and polite staff. But slow service in the restaurants. Good variety of food ala cart and breakfast buffet. Room is clean but show that the materials, floorings are old and many stained tiles in the bathroom. We were on the Mountain View side.
2.0 / 5.0
Our stay was not relaxing due to a lot of fixing and maintenance to be done in our Ridge Rooms.
PROS:
-awesome view of Taal lake
-breakfast offers good variety of food
-Bayanihan singers serenade during breakfast
-Lounge singer entertains during dinner
-restaurant staff are friendly
CONS:
-inroom aircon dripping
-towels old, discolored, and scratchy
-room chairs are rickety
-safe was not functional
-towel rack fell when trying to hang a towel
-blackout drape fell when trying to pull-up
-room terrace with overgrown foliage
-room door alarm broken, kept alarming; we ended up using adjacent room door for access
-hallway leading to the Ridge Rooms were long, windowless, and cavelike

Stunning View of Taal Volcano
2.0 / 5.0
We were upgraded to a ridge room which was very nice. The view of the lake never gets old.
The room was comfortable and the hot shower worked very well! (Some hotels in Tagaytay have lukewarm water only.)
Breakfast buffet was good and well stocked despite it being very busy. On Sunday morning they had singers going around.
But the way to the ridge rooms is kind of eerie. Could use some updating.
On check out we were being charged for room service items we hadn’t ordered but they eventually got the correct room charged and we weren’t asked to pay.
Over-all, still a nice hotel to stay at in Tagaytay.

Property was beautiful. Control over making our stay was horrible. We opted to upgrade to the Batangas Suite which was an 8000pesos upgrade, only to subjected to horrible housekeeping noises while we were getting out 5000pesos massages, literally a 13000pesos day that went down the drain.
The management offered to have us transferred (total inconvenience) to another room. Upgrade waived, and i still had to pay for the massage we DID not enjoy even after 4complaints to the Front Desk of the noise!!!
Later we were given 2000pesos off the massage. In retrospect, we should have just stayed in the original booked room. It was much quieter.
The F&B Staff led by Anthony and a lead waitress named with Bernadette were amazing!!!!!!!!!!
I’d probably stay there again, maybe my stay was just one of those nights.

The view was magnificent. Staff were courteous and nice.
Improvement on the hotel’s in room dining menu, delivery and set up will probably help the hotel move to a five star status.
