Overall it was very good. The thermostat in our room didn't work so sometimes it got a bit too hot, and the cable would go out frequently but otherwise it was a good, clean room.

Great stay for the price. Clean and comfortable

The rooms are clean, but there was NO hot water. Had to shower in COLD water! And I was there 5 days! Not fun! ALSO, there ice machines in the 2nd and 3rd floors never worked! Had to go to the 1st floor to get ice every day. I doubt I will stay there again.

It was very comfortable and the breakfast was a huge plus!!!

We arrived at check in at 4 and was immediately encountered with disappointment. supposedly they had over booked and our king deluxe suite was given to someone else then the lady at the front desk proceeds to tell us "well you should have booked sooner " we booked days prior to the visit there was no lack of rooms then. Our room had broken outlets on the walls, sticky carpets, lingering odor and bugs in the lighting overall this hotel is not an 8.8 valued at a $60 to $80 at best.

I was there on business and I must say this was the best hotel I’ve had since I’ve been traveling and the service is top-tier. The workers are amazing. Great breakfast and I just love the room in the bed was amazing.

Although the front desk attendant was not rude, she was not very welcoming. Her first words to me were not “Welcome to Hampton Inn”, but “May I help you”, without actually looking up to greet me first. In addition the room smelled of urine. I did inform the front desk about the issue, and they sprayed the room with air freshener. It helped some, but the room continued to smell of urine.

We chose this location because it was near merrillville resort and spa where we were having a wellness weekend. After the first night we discovered that there was no hot water. They refused to give us credit to move on the second night so we stayed another night. We moved to a nearby hotel for the remaining 2 nights.

Spacious, clean rooms with all the necessary amenities. Breakfast was top notch for us with a large variety of hot and cold items. Coffee and tea available all day. Great stay and excellent price. Will stay here again!

Lady at the front desk doesn’t know what she’s doing. Charged my credit card on a room that was prepaid! 1st room was dirty and smelly 2nd room AC broken elevator carpet smelled horrible!
Pick another place to stay!

2 night stay for a concert. Hotel was clean for the most part. There was a very questionable white splatter on pull out couch. ??… The bed was not comfortable for my taste. It was too hard, I prefer plush. Pillows were almost nonexistent. Atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing.

It was nice but not enough pillows and the room was hot... a/c kept turning off

The main problem we (and others encountered) was the lack of hot water to take showers in the morning. The water was tepid at best or colder. At first we thought it might just be our room, but there were others at the front desk complaining also.
The second thing were the uncomfortable beds. Hard and squeaky when moving around.
Breakfast was good. Sufficient choices. Other than the water & bed issue, the hotel was clean, quiet, & common areas were well maintained.

Overall three stars.
Pros: the room was very nice and quiet. The entire hotel was booked because of a large local event, but I didn’t hear any noise from above me or to the sides.
Cons: The hotel has a sign at the front desk warning of “crickets” in the rooms, but my room had roaches. Big ones. When I reported that to the front desk, twice I was told by two different employees that they were “crickets”. I told them I know a cricket from a roach, and these were roaches. They sprayed the room at my request, but were not nice about it and acted inconvenienced. The water for a shower was luke warm.

The facility was average. The buffet was excellent except for the powdered eggs and keibalsa sausage. Our room smelt like the previous people had smoked in the room... a lot. When I brought this up to the hotel they did not offer to switch rooms. I had to ask if we could switch rooms, they told us there were no other two bedrooms. We were staying in town for a family emergency otherwise we would of switched hotels. If our room did not smell like smoke, we would of given it a 5 rating. Staff was nice, laundry facility clean, grounds clean.

Excellent stay. Clean. Comfortable. Area was calm.

It was alright. It had the bare minimum. The water in the shower took forever to get hot. This morning (10/10) I had lukewarm water. There’s no dining option in the hotel, but tons of stuff around the area. Breakfast was eh. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t great.

Good location, condition and value. Morning breakfast was very complete too.

It was great, the staff was super friendly and kept checking in on me. I appreciated how easy it was to find the hotel and that I felt safe once I was there.

I stayed at this hotel for about 2 weeks and in that time frame I was moved from one room to another a total of 6 times. Two of these times the staff went about gathering my belongings and removing them from my room. I found this to be very rude buts mostly intrusive and invading. In an attempt to stop the moving around I renewed my stay for a longer period so that I wouldn't be asked to move again...... This still didn't work. During my extended stay and even with my updated reservo confirmed and pending for check in I was once again told I'd need to switch rooms to allow another guest use of the room I was currently in.
At this point I decided to find different accommodations Each and every time they changed my room I would then need to unpack and settle back in. I made it clear that my stay would be a long one and would like pricing for the extended stay which I got only after I contacted the property multiple times because my multiple requests for a s call went ignored.
I spoke to the front desk on my way out and was told if I wasn't going to renew then the room would need to be vacated before 1 1 , since I was running late for work I said ok I'm not checking inir will be renewing to which I was told that was fine the reservation would be canceled so I didn't have to pay and so long as the room was vacated by 11 am then our business transaction was complete and ending. I
Realized later in the day they had still charged my card for a one night stay which I didn

Great stay for the monies! Clean and efficient. Staff was friendly. Had big portable fans on the 3rd floor maybe to dry out and for whatever reason the front sliding door was locked until 10am. Never seen that before-needed to use room key card to enter but no visable signage saying it!
