My booking is twin beds room, 3 nights with computer room, the counter man said all the computer out of date and do not have such room now. He said anyway I can use their staff computer at the lobby. Why should I paid more and enjoy little. Drinking water 5RMB per bottle, it is not free. Corridor dark, dirty and smelly. room service staff like to argue with guest, and intented do not provide tooth brush for the following day.

Okay location, not the best I’ve stayed in during my times in Shenzhen. Rooms were acceptable level of clean but definitely meh not great. Beds are hard. It was a bit dodgy, their cards suggested escorts in the hotel, wouldn’t stay here again.
3.3
Not so good as old hotel and a little far from train station.
3.3
The receptionist rude and absolutely not her job, if you don’t want to interact with people, change job!!! Place was fine, really old establishment, bed is really hard.
3.3
the stay here was not what I expected. The rooms could be cleaner, bathrooms should also be cleaner, I was most dissapointed with the hard beds and the pillows.
No coffee and tea in the rooms, and no complimentary water, Poor Wifi quality
Reception not speaking English. I would not stay here again.
3.3
Most hotels in China provide free bottles of water. Hedong is the only hotel that is too cheap to give free small bottles of water!!!!
3.3
Good for low budget travelers. Room is clean, with wood floor, but furniture, fridge, bathroom etc.. old, need update. Cleaning lady makes it very clean every day. Internet is fine. But you may see some insects in the bathroom during the night like small roaches. No English speaking staff but with google translate we can manage.
3.3
The location is good, but things are old. The condition of the bathroom is old and not very clean.
3.3
I like the location, convenient walking distance to Laojie.
Hotel has very poor Wi-Fi and there is an odor of sewer coming from the bathroom.
Also, last time i caught a cockroach’s size bug in the closet.

QQQ3838. This is an excellent hotel for the price. The Manager always offer very friendly services. English is ok but Limited. The hotel is an old hotel and has good size room. Some updated already done in the hotel, but expect that it is a old hotel. To get there is easy by public transportation. If you do not have heavy Baggage, you can get off in LaoJie, as you need to get out the station and go over a bridge, if you have heavy baggage then get off in Guomao, it is a longer easier walk. You can also take bus 38 from Luo Hu Border, I think it is only 3 stops, get off in JinWei Building 金威大厦, walk West and then turn North, pass a big KTV and the hotel is in the front pass a small shops. There are two other smaller hotels or guest house before the hotel. The hot spot around this area is Lao Jie. There is a big shopping area for food and shopping. Then Goumao area has big shopping mall. Both is about 10 minutes walk. KTV next door offer about RMB$65 lunch buffet and singing for 3 hours, great deal. There is a dinner buffet in the hotel for RMB$128, cross the road and in the East side of JinWei Building bus station, you need to walk East pass under the Train Bridge, the hotel is in your right (south) hand side. Hope all this help.

The internet doesn’t work... !

Staff at desk does not care about their customers, just the bottom line. No one speaks English so communication is very challenging. Housekeeping is very nice, and the beds are clean. But little in the hotel is thoroughly cleaned. Wifi is sketchy.

Internet is almost non-existing.
Bathroom hasnt been updated since ...30years.
No complementary water.

Stayed for 6 night without internet, told the front counter but no reply. Hotel located a bit far for MTR station.

The hotel here was really solid. Close enough to the subway to not be a huge hassle, tidy, and no complaints about the staff at all.

The Hotel ambiance was very nice. It is in front of river. The room decor was very nice & very well maintained. However, all items inside the hotel room are seperately charged, if availed , right from water bottle to travel kit kept in bathroom. .We stayed only for a day .
Overall the hotel room was adequately maintained & staff was supportive. I would definately recommend this hotel with reasonable room rates and in heart of city & @ 1km from grand theatre metro station

The Good-------------About 5-10 min walk from the nearest Da Ju Yuan Metro station and 4 bus-stops from Luo Hu Railway Station. Near Dong Men Pedestrian Street for general shopping and 2 Metro stations (or 4 bus-stops) away to Hua Qiang Bei, that is popular for electronic goods. Twin-bed room is spacious with 2 seats and a small round table. The TV comes with cable channels. Budget food outlets nearby incl. McDonalds. Reasonably priced. The Not-So-Good and the Bad-----------------------------------------Room Wi-Fi could not be used by foreign SIM card as it requires sign-in with a local telephone no. Tooth-brush and tooth-paste were provided but not included in the accommodation charges. Latest check-out time is 1pm and there are additional charges for every 1 hour after check-out time.

Very nice room and amazing people.
3.3
The price was right, but of course, then you get the room with the industrial air/con blower next door, street noise which included the loose man hole cover that every taxi hit until 4 am, but comfortable China rock bed, close to everything, clean, not bad for Y180, no English, but pleasant staff, and cheap restaurants nearby.
3.3
Close to major shopping streets and area yet quiet for a good night rest
3.3
The hotel is very unconfortable and dirty. There was still garbage in the room from previous guests. The towel they put in the shower are all ripped and with hotel. The aircon doesnt work. The bed is hard as a rock. The shower curtains are just disgusting and mouldy. It was just a horrible experience I actually screamed when I opened the door of the toilet it was that disgusting.

Hedong Citycenter is a good 3* hotel located beside a river near the Luhou border crossing and Guomao Subway Exit E. It is certainly within a comfortable walking distance to Dongmen, shopping paradise for most shopaholics.
I arrived before noon and was checked into a room on the second floor. The queen bed was hard, but comfortable and the room although somewhat dated was clean and faily large. There were 2 armchairs with a side table. There was tea making facility, a fridge, hair dryer, TV with only Chinese channels, hangers in a good size closet, shampoo and conditioner dispenser, no complimentary water or any other toiletry items but 2 pairs of cheap sandals. Not sure if wifi was provided by the hotel, but the free Louhu wifi signal was good. The bathroom was certainly the best feature, it looked updated and well maintained. For the price I paid, it was certainly value for money and I would stay here again.

Near mtr.Lorji by walk you should not belive a map it far from gaomao station.
Near Thong men market.
nice environment it has mcdonald and family mart closer.
The room quite well but too smell smoke always.

We called hotel for direction but was not able to get any help as the receptionist was unsure herself.
Next, imagine the hotel room without tooth brushes, shower cap, drinking water, etc.
3.3
It was a little hard to find at first. Once you know the direction of Mixc shopping Centre it was easy. Remember you got to cross under the railway track on the way there.

The He Dong is well situated just off Shennan Boulevard and equidistant to two Metro stations, Grand Theater and Laojie. The staff, however, seem unaware of the best ways of accessing these stations, or even how close Laojie is.
The hotel has seen better days, but tries to maintain standards of cleanliness and propriety. Perhaps the two hefty cockroaches in the bathroom were trying to secure the seat to the toilet bowl. Left alone they might have replaced the light bulb we gave up asking about.
Cupboard doors needed to be treated with consideration to keep them in one piece and properly closed. Air conditioning was elderly and noisy.
Let it be said though, the cleaning lady was very good at her work, changing bedlinen every day, and a delightful person generally.
Hotels in China provide a bottle of water per person per day and likewise some teabags. We have quite some experience over time and geography of this practice. At the He Dong, there were the two bottles. They weren't replaced; or would be for 5Yuan/bottle. At 2Yuan/bottle at the shop next door ... When we departed we had 10Yuan deducted from our deposit for those first two bottles. It was an attitude that pervaded the place. We were told when the dining rooms were open and what they served. The reality was so unreliable we ate out.
So, great location, but not functioning as it should.

Older Hotel with large rooms, a nice price tag, good location and easy walking distance to good shopping, markets, a large variety of places to eat and MTR is nearby to get on the train and explore the city.
As first time visitor we had trouble getting our bearings and google maps dosen't work well in China ( print a map before you go)
Location is close to Luohu boarder crossing take MTR from Luohu to Guomao station take exit E to Jiabin Rd Walk 3 blocks to Yanhe E Rd, Hedong city center hotel is located beside the river.

It was tricky to find this hotel at first. The surroundings are not that good but it is close to the metro station and a big shopping centre (mall). The hotel rooms are big and old fasshioned. I actually paid a bit more than the lower price to have a good room, but then had to change it because it was too damp. My second room was not that smelly and smaller, but good enough to stay the rest of my trip.
