It is my second time to there. The location is situ at a central for some spots.
The room is clean and the staff is excellence for any request.
I left my jacket to the room while i back to oslo. The staff respond very effective and sent it to me upon my request.
Excellence.

Overall, an enjoyable stay. The room - with twin beds and a roller bed - was adequate for sleeping, although the roller bed mattress was a bit lumpy. The staff on reception & in the restaurant were helpful and personable. The limited options for vegetarians, typical in my experience in Norway, was a little disappointing considering that alternative restaurants were at least 30 minutes away

Cute little cabin in remote area. Nice breakfast and friendly staff. Our room was pretty small, but we didn’t spend much time there. A goat directly outside our cabin woke us with some loud complaining at 6am.

Really amazing room . Feels really intimate place to stay .
I was going to Kjerag hiking so decided to get a place not far from that hiking , sadly left by early morning to catch up the hike, so didn't really get a chance to enjoy this place.

Quite isolated location chosen because of access to walking tracks. Only problem with the room was the air conditioning which could not be turned off. This presented a problem for us because of my wife’s asthma.
Only one item of the menu in the restaurant for vegetarians which resulted in us eating the same meal on both evenings we were there.

Very good breakfast. Very pretty location, just a little remote and not many eating options nearby. Bakery onsite was a plus. Bathroom was super clean but drain was slow. Reception and other staff were very friendly and helpful. Wifi worked great even though we were furthest away from the main building.

Good breakfast first day. After that for the next 3 days food was cold and unappealing.

We stayed here the night before hiking to Kjeragbolten. It's perfect because it's much shorter of a drive than if you leave from Stavanger. The hotel is beautiful and really fun. There is a huge store, and a restaurant with really good food. The staff is very kind and helpful.
I rated room comfort as a 3 because it was very hot in the room when we arrived, we had to open the windows and prop the door open with a chair for hours before it was comfortable. Also, I didn't care about this, but others might, there is no TV in the room. The internet service is fantastic though.

This hotel is for someone who wants to get away from it all. The area is very rural and quiet close to nature. Excellent wifi connection and good breakfast buffet. Clean modern rooms. The staff was great in helping with hiking ideas.

Such a fantastic place to stay. The service was amazing. The gentleman who checked us in around 8pm also took our dinner order, served our incredibly delicious meal and drinks, plus bussed our table and took care of others like if he were 5 people in 1. The place was what we pictured a place in the Norwegian mountains to be only better. We stayed here for 2 nights so we could hike the Kjeragbolten trail off the Lysefjord. It was about 1.5hrs away do to the windy roads but well worth it and definitely made for a great way to explore the region. If you are considering renting a car and doing this hike, this is a great place to stay! Even if we werent doing this hike I would certainly stay here if I were on my way through the mountains.

I was looking for something in the country and was planning to hike to Priekestolen. My ancestors came from a tunet near Bergen, so I thought it would be fun to stay at one while in Norway. The furnishings were all antique, but comfortable and very clean. Next to the hotel is a large cave that has been converted into a large hall with a spectacular view of the countryside. My wife was fascinated by the mountain goats that lived in a pen in the middle of the hotel buildings stayed perched on top of a balancing rock!

Superb place to stay for getting out and about in the mountains and ski resorts close by. Good restaurant as well.

Went on a car trip from Stavanger to Lysebotn and decided to spend the night on the way back, to be able to revisit the area the next morning. This hotel was the perfect option. Our room was amazingly big considering norwegian standards and extremely confortable. We arrived too late to be able to have dinner (kitchen closes at 8, in september at least) which was unfortunate because food is suppose to be excellent, but there were some very good sandwiches and they made us a plate of cold cuts that was superb.

We were pleasantly surprised at this superior hotel. The room we stayed in was reasonably priced and recently completely refurbished. The bathroom/shower were HUGE, and very clean. The breakfast was exceptional with nice smoked trout and lots of good options. Staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Compared to what we had been getting used to for our price range, this hotel was a great surprise/value. Location was great for heading over to Preikestolen. We recommend this hotel highly and can easily imagine staying here again.

We arrived at the hotel at 7.40pm. There was one member of staff trying to run the restraunt, book guests in and show them to there rooms which are out in the grounds. We enqired about dinner and was told they stop serving at 8.00pm, by the time we had checked in the limited menu was down to one choice only. We were told this was due to it being late !!. The hotel overall is very nice, in a nice location but a little distance from anywhere else. We has to travel 35km to find food which after a long day is not ideal. The rooms are comfortable and the grounds are interesting with animals. As with all of Norway the views are stunning. The breakfast is plentiful and good quality

This place was great. It was exactly what I was looking for.IMPORTANT: There is no shuttle. This place is fairly out of the way (about a 45 minute drive from the Stavanger Airport). You will need to rent a car if you're planning on staying here. Paying for a taxi to/from wherever you'd like to go would be pretty expensive. Also, rental car agencies from the airport close at 9pm, so keep that in mind for when you're booking your flight. This trip was booked with being in the outdoors in mind. If you're going with the intent of staying in a city DO NOT book here. The rooms were excellent. Behind the Receptionist/Restaurant building are the rooms. They are cabins that have been split into quadrants. Each quarter of the cabins are there own clean private rooms: bed, TV, table, bathroom, etc.Aside from that, the restaurant served delicious food. Breakfast was a complimentary buffet, and lunch/dinner were freshly prepared entrees that will not leave you hungry. The main purpose of the trip was to climb Preikestolen which was about an hour trip away counting the ferry.I will definitely be staying here again.
