Overall a nice stay, a couple opportunities for improvement. The Pros: Great location, charming building, room was very clean, bed was super comfy, service was friendly. Cons: I've never heard noisier pipes in my life! Bring earplugs because if the room next to you is taking a shower, you're going to KNOW IT lol, it was unreal how loud the plumbing was. Also I heard the steam from the shower in the room next to me set off the fire alarm 3 times in a row (walls are paper thin so I heard them discussing it, and my room's alarm went off too). Also, a couple key items in my room (207) were missing: there are no towel hooks or anyplace to hang a bath towel? I just draped a wet towel over a chair bc there was nowhere else? There are also no coat hooks, no place to put a coat, besides a tiny closet with one singular hanger. Really needs a couple coat hooks on the wall near the door. Lastly the shower had no shelf or anyplace at all to put soap so I had to put soap on the floor! Just a couple small things that felt like obvious misses. Still a nice stay and I'd stay here again.

Great time just would not stay over summer no air conditioning but otherwise a beautiful property

I wish we had time to stay a couple more nights, we loved this place.

expensive to park at the hotel. Staff wasn't very helpful. We had to ask for info - nothing was given upon arrival. Room was very nice but shower water pressure was awful. WE had a very noisy room right on the street but it did have a very comfortable bed. Overall nice place to spend the night.

Great location, right in the middle of town. Wasn't aware there was a $30 parking fee until I saw it on my credit card later. Room was nice, but lots of scuff marks on the walls. Also as we were on ground level and pretty much on the street it was difficult to open the one window we had without feeling exposed to passers by. Would stay again, but would request a different room.

The hotel is modern and clean, it’s close by the ocean very quiet. Staff was very nice and helpful. There is a charge of $25 per day for the parking.

The room was clean and had personality. Our room had a beautiful bay window with casement windows that opened above the street. However, the room was warm and the thermostat didn’t work. We opened the window for cool air in the evening. The shower was in an attractive claw style old fashioned tub. It is romantic looking, but not practical if you are older. I enjoyed having our room open to a hallway that was near a doorway to the street that was near all of the downtown attractions.

The Inn was so beautiful, along with the room having its own patio and so much space inside and out. The front desk gentleman was so kind and helpful, will definitely be back!!

The rooms are beautifully styled and a perfect location for a stay in Sausalito. The bed was comfortable and bathroom was updated. Michael greeted us and was able to check us in early since we had called as per the check in instructions. He was very welcoming and informative about the area.

Our room was not in good condition. Perhaps other rooms have been updated. Front desk was personable, location of the hotel is great. Just the condition of the room was bad. Mold surrounding the tub. Carpet stained and the walls were dirty.

Everything was ok....until we found the HVAC was not working. We were told to use a little ceramic heater in the room for heat. Sort of worked a little, until it turned off overnight. UNACCEPTABLE!

The Gables is a quaint lovely place to stay. We were in the Cypress room and was perfect for two cousins to hang out and relax on the patio and chat. Parking was very reasonable. It's a very short walk to the main drag through Sausalito. We agreed that we would stay there again. Door dash delivered within a few steps of our door, which made it very easy to have sustenance that arrived quickly and was hot. Even got coffee and chai tea latte delivered in the morning 👍👍
