Location is unique. Room very nice and quiet. We didn’t eat in as breakfast too expensive and dining room wasn’t open several nights. It was end of season.

It’s a lovely hotel, very well managed and perfectly located

Lovely hotel and very well look after. There was a lack of staff in the bar late afternoon and we had to find someone to serve us.
Breakfast was delivered to our room at no extra cost which was lovely. Would definitely stay again.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location.

I didn’t like the bath tub: easy to slip while trying to take a shower. Breakfast was just ok and we had a long wait for the waiter with the coffee .

Location, the view, the restaurant and quality of food and great service.

Liner styled spotless hotel. Breakfast pricy at over 17€ but worth it for stunning views

Not cheap, but a great place for a short stay. It’s a pity the restaurant and bar are not open on Monday and Tuesday, but there are plenty of other places around.

Carteret is a pleasant seaside village with an active port and a beautiful beach. The hotel is wonderfully positioned beside the river and port. The bar and dining room are very quiet and elegant and have lovely views. We had one of the cheapest rooms which are great value and very comfortable. The food - we had dinner twice and ate the 45Euro menu both times - was absolutely outstanding. The Michelin star is well deserved.

We visited this hotel on recommendation, but it was obvious as soon as we arrived that this hotel and Carteret in general, is very seasonal as virtually everything is closed until March or later. The hotel is small, modern and stylish and sits on the banks of a tidal inlet. Note that when the tide is out, the channel becomes a rather pungent mud pool. We booked a streetside room for one night and were shown to a very small double on the 3rd (top) floor which unlike the other rooms had high level windows with no view. The room was clean and well furnished, but cramped for two people. The small ensuite shower area was good, but the wc area was very small. The room was noisy and we were woken at 3am and 6am by loud voices, followed by deliveries at 7am. The restaurant was closed (which we were aware of after booking) but the bar, although open, was not conducive to sitting as both the fire and side lights were turned off. The main hotel door was locked at 10pm, however an entry code was given.

A word of caution about the parking at this hotel, it claims to offer free parking but in reality only has 5 spaces. If as I did you arrive late you are unlikely to get a space. After 6-8 hours travelling it's disappointing to be told by the receptionist that I have to drive around the town to find an empty space. No advice given about local parking restrictions or in fact there was a free car park nearby. It's further frustrating that most of the 5 spaces were taken by restaurant guests with no priority given to hotel guests. However the restaurant, food and it's staff were outranding.
