Cute cabin. Rooms were very small. 1 room had twin bunk bed which was very close to wall for climbing up . Other room was a full size bed . Not very good for 2 grown adults. They living room dining room is open concept with kitchen table and chairs , couch tv with cable. Bathroom was decent for a cabin. You’re definitely in the woods . Very dark at night as no street lights heading to the area you stay. Close to a lot of things .

Loved how private the cabin was in the woods, but only a five minute drive from a major grocery store. Farmers markets everywhere, huge artisan coffee shop down the hill and 15 minutes from dining districts. We were able to see the stars clearly in the yard of the cabin, which was so fun.
The cabin itself was rustic and quaint, had all the basics including a propane heat unit and fully equipped kitchen. It was very clean and tidy, which was greatly appreciated.
The check in went very well, the owners were so patient and friendly. I would love to stay here again.

I enjoyed this little cabin. In a nice rural setting, but close to many areas to keep oneself active and well fed!

The cabins are old but in good condition for the age of the cabins.
The woods around the cabins are dark in the trees. Not a lot of sunlight. But very wooded, quiet and secluded

By far the worst place I have ever stayed. I can’t even describe how bad cabin 3 smelled. The layout was fine and beds were as comfortable as I would expect. The issue is the horrible smell and everything, including you and your belongings will be covered in a layer of humidity. The sheets had dog hair all over them (that’s what I’m telling myself).

Wonderful place to stay in the area. We are very familiar with the area, as we lived 20 minutes away for over 25 years. If you are looking for an upscale hotel experience, try Stoweflake Resort. If you want a more rustic stay, this is the place. The cabins are not too cramped (as others tend to be), with a full size tub and full kitchen, and space to breathe in both the bedroom and living room areas. We were there with our eighteen year old son. He slept in the bedroom, on the Queen size bed, with my husband, while I slept on the pull out couch in the living room (I wanted to watch TV longer at night). The pull out bed was surprisingly comfortable. When sitting on the bed it felt very lumpy and you could definitely feel the bars, but lying down was fine.
Our dogs were very comfortable, as well.
If one wanted to get knick-picky, you could say that the blowdryer had a hair stuck in it, the hot water could have been hotter, and there is no where to hang clothes. None of this takes away from the overall spotless cleanliness, comfort, and amazing hospitality of the host family (who are all very sweet and accommodating). Air conditioner worked great. There was no envelope in the room to leave a tip for the cleaner, and sadly we forgot to do this! Perhaps the family does all the cleaning themselves.
Suggestion to stop the reviews about the kitchen sign to wash dishes before use: state that it was from a COVID regulation.
Thanks for the wonderful experience!

I was working in Waterbury over the weekend so I brought my wife with me. It is a really nice change of pace from hotels. The cabins a set back in the woods and are peaceful. There was a charcoal grill outside and a small kitchen. So preparing our own meals was easy and enjoyable. The owner was friendly and available.

We had a wonderful relaxing weekend at Cabins in the Woods. I rated it a four for cleanliness because it is a cabin after all. Didn’t expect anything else. Such a charming, comfortable place with plenty of privacy. Ed in the office was so friendly and kind. We will definitely be back!

It was just what we needed. Thank You

Had such a great time ..cant wait to go back with the family.

We did not expect luxury staying in a cabin (cabin 3) but we were nevertheless disappointed in the accommodations. Building was outdated somewhat with a mismatch of old furniture and incomplete sets of cups and plates. But then we had a baking pan that would not fit in the oven, and only one burner on stove worked.

the cabin was neat and clean and in a beautiful location. My family and I really enjoyed our stay there and plan to vacation there again soon. Thanks to Ed and Steve property management Staff

Wasn’t sure what the property was going to be but it was exactly described perfectly. Small 2 bedroom cabin for my friends and I. Was exactly what we wanted. Thanks!

Cool little cabins, a little dated, but still good.

Great caretakers and responsive. Our cabin was freshly painted and clean. They made sure the have it nice and toasty warm from our cold evening arrival. It's a no frills place but you can't beat the location nestled in the woods, but close to recreation, dining, groceries etc. The price was also extremely reasonable.

This place is great if you're looking for privacy and options to do your own cooking while you stay at Stowe. It's nicely located just outside Stowe, a short drive from restaurants and groceries. The main road can have a lot of traffic on popular weekends but the cabins are set far enough back in the woods that noise isn't an issue. This was just what we were looking for. Enjoyed our stay.

We spent a peaceful couple of days. Very nice and comfortable. Traffic in the area (Stowe and Waterbury) takes some getting used to.

We love the cabin area. The cabin had some issues when we got here but the staff was very good about trying to take care of the problem promptly. We are appreciative of all they did.

After traveling in New England and staying in hotels in the city it was a very nice break to stay literally in the woods in a cabin. I would recommend it and stay there again.

Would rate as just Ok. Really needs some updating. Paint and some matching dishes would make a big difference! Our cabin had mismatched broken dishes. Owners were very nice people.

I was in the area for work and looking for a quiet place that had a kitchen. I like to make my own meals instead of eating out every day. My cabin was comfortable. Not fancy and new but was clean and quiet location. Also the local coffee shop is a 1/2 mile walk down the gravel road I drove in on. The cabin had a gas grill I used and it worked well. Needed a little seasoning but that was easy enough as there was a bit of vegetable oil in the cabinet inside.

Nice property, manager was nice and helpful. Quiet and private. Great location for a stay with a dog

The stay could’ve been much better if the cabin was in a better shape. The location is very peaceful and quiet but the cabin itself is very old, a bit rundown that needs some cleaning and updating. We were all sneezing and coughing bc of the dust mites and a very bad smell. I’d not recommend this place.

Cozy cabin in the woods. Other cabins are nearby, but there is still plenty of privacy. It was a wonderful change from hotels, which can be noisy from other guests. The beds were comfy and the cabin itself was very clean. Would definitely stay again.

Very private and restful area, truly in the woods. Handy location to Stowe and Waterbury. Couldve used a few more glasses and plates and the kitchen floor couldve been swept cleaner but overall, a great way to experience Vermont. I'd book it again without a doubt.

The bed was comfy, the water for the shower was hot and the towels were soft and fluffy. What more could we ask for??

We had an amazing stay in this very rustic cabin! It is surrounded by maply syrup trees and the patio area is so relaxing, we enjoyed the BBQ what a great idea! Love the feel of the cabin very authentic indeed. The mattresses felt brand new and were very comfy, if you want a good old school cabin vibe then this is for you. We were also told that there was a beaver down by the big coffee warehouse 10 minutes walk from the cabin and sure enough we got a glimpse of it, so cool! Would definitely book again if in the area .

Serene and amazingly peaceful place for a solo or couples’ getaway with two pups. It was a beautiful spot and cabin was very clean, comfy, and private. I loved every minute and will definitely return!
3.0
The owners were very pleasant. The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice. Furniture and decor were a bit outdated but that doesn't really matter. This place would be great if it weren't for concerns about mice inside. There was a sign stating all dinnerware should be washed before use and there were mouse droppings in the drawer under the stove. Unfortunate since it appears that the owners are trying to keep the place clean and tidy.
