Property was excellent. But they charged a 100$ deposit to my debit and there was a 10$ fee that “Expedia doesn’t collect” for us. I just wish once that the rate I’m quoted is actually what I paid.

The property overall was clean, had a good smell, but it was somewhat dated and in need of upgrades. The front desk person did not smile, but when I needed help, he came quickly so that made up from the unapproachable look. Overall for the price, it was fine. Convenient location, but needs a generator in case of bad weather.

It was cool. The worse thing about it was the breakfast. They shouldn’t list that as breakfast. That really was the only disappointment. It’s a beautiful hotel. Clean and comfortable.

There were small blood stains on the walls in the bathroom and bedroom. The floor had not been cleaned. The wall next to the mini fridge looked like something had exploded on it. The room reeked of cigarette smoke and it was a nonsmoking room. The hallway reeked of weed. The website made everything looked like it had been remodeled. The lobby yes, but upstairs, the hallway has chunks missing out of the wood molding all the way down the hall. I would not walk barefoot on the floor as it clearly had not been cleaned any time recently. There was dirt build up on it. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. Given the state of my room and the facilities I didn’t even look at breakfast.

Staff is courteous and accommodating. Lobby is bright & modern, but the rest of the property is simple and plain. It gives a current vibe despite having older furniture and fixtures. The bed was a bit high, but super comfortable. Walls are notably thin and I could hear people/TV in at least three other rooms as well as anyone in the walkway. I was grateful that the air conditioner worked quietly and very well.

Would not stay here again! Nothing like the pictures look! The floors were gross. From the moment we walked in the room it was just sticky. The remote was held together by tape and half the time didn't work. The air conditioning vent had trash in it. The attendant when we arrived never greeted us or even gave any directions for the elevator or where the room was located. He was watching a football game on a laptop at the front desk and acted as if we interrupted. Towels in the bathroom had dark brown stains on them.
Only plus was the morning attendant was more pleasant and the bed was decent.

The Clarion is always very nice and quiet. The towels had hair in it and the white bed cover had long hair on top of it. Over all I still enjoyed it and will stay again.

Booking on hotels. com was the worst experience. The process was easy but I did not have any options to check for discounts before checking in. Once I arrived, I found out there were no discounts and on top of the room charge and taxes, the hotel required a $100 deposit. That’s ridiculous when you provide a valid payment. Additionally if I were to use my debit card, it would have taken 2-3 days after checkout to have the deposit refunded to me. I chose to use their extortion ATM in the lobby and at check out, I actually had to request my deposit from them. They had no intention of giving it back to me unless I requested it. The room was very sparse and the only redeeming quality was the bed was pretty good. I could not even close the closet door once I put my clothes in it. They stuck out beyond the door opening. Very minimal room with very low quality finishes. The breakfast “buffet” that was stated on hotels.com was a joke. The only protein item was the yogurt. The three choices I had for breakfast made my head spin trying to figure out which to chose. Cereal, waffle, or yogurt. I had such a hard time deciding, I checked out before 7 am and got fast food. There would have to be an apocalypse for me to stay there again. I would not have need so critical had the price not been $130 plus a $100 deposit. Unrealistic pricing for a sub par hotel.

I was forced to leave early due to a family emergency long before checkout after my first night, and the management would not even attempt to issue a credit or refund for the second night.

Check in was slow and they do a $100 hold which I'm used to.. not a big deal. BUT, this hotel charges a $2 state fee separately. So... Three transactions to stay and no receipt for the "state fee" so can't expense. Texas hotel. I travel a lot for work, and this is the only location I'm aware of that has this $2 state fee.
Had problems with the key to enter the room. Had to return to front desk 3 times. She kept trying to reprogram it. I told her it looked worn, could she just give me a different key.
Lastly, if you want to work out in their fitness room, you have to go to the front desk and have them go upstairs with you to open (unlock) the door. Another hassle after a long day.

Agent was nice but check-in was delayed. 1st room we couldn’t get in, 2nd room dirty toilet and floors, no DTV remote for the TV, bug on my pillow & broken phone so couldn’t call. 3rd room’s the charm right? Well DTV was not connected & dirty floors..EVERY room smelled musty!!! Beautiful hotel just low maintenance and they definitely don’t check rooms before renting 😤 My family and I had stopped for rest and after the 3rd room we gave up and went to sleep!

They insisted on $100 cash for deposit and I didn’t have that. So finally after a phone call to the manager she allowed us to use a credit card. Then they said we smoked in the room which I ABSOLUTELY DID NOT DO and they are trying to keep my $100. I called the hotel and asked for the manager , they wouldn’t give me the phone number but said they would have them call us. They did not call. 1 week later called the corporate office and they said they will contact the manager and now it’s been 3 more days and nothing. I believe that is why they wanted cash. NEVER STAY THERE!! They are rip offs

When I got there I was required to pay a $2.00 cash fee in addition to the amount I prepaid through Hotels.com. This is the first time I have ever been asked to do this after pre-paying online. Also, I was asked for my ID (normal) and a credit card (normal), and then a $100.00 CASH deposit (NOT normal!). When I said I didn't have the cash the girl behind the desk handwrote my credit card info on their paperwork! She said this was for a security deposit in case of any damage. I told her I was not comfortable with her handwriting all my credit card info down and she said it had to be done and would be kept on file in the manager's office. I have never had this happen before. I understand posting a temporary charge to the credit card for a damage deposit, but NEVER handwriting the complete card number, exp date, and CCS down. This was and still is very uncomfortable to me.

They are either set by management to not allow them to get cold or not properly maintained. No matter what temp you set it at, it will never get cooler than about 73 or so and the rooms stay humid. This was experienced every time I’ve stayed. This last trip, my first room had a horrible smell of smoke and the AC wouldn’t cool at all. Very humid in the room too. Another issue is they limit the water temp in the showers to luke warm at best. This is intentionally done by some hotel chains to save energy costs. So if you’re looking for a nice hot shower…. You can forget it. Won’t happen here.

Check in was great and I loved the property had easy parking in the front of the building. It was a very clean and staff was great. I noticed our room, although was non smoking, had a cigarette smell to it. Aside from that, the room was very clean and plenty of towels which is a huge plus for me. I loved that the shampoo and conditioner were on dispensers in the shower, but housekeeping should pull up the bottles to clean the dispensers where there is buildup. Breakfast was great. The oatmeal with all the condiments, boiled eggs, and fruit was also a big plus for me. I could have a healthy breakfast that was more than just waffles. I would definitely stay here again!

The room floor was so nasty I took my shoes off walking around in the room and my feet looked like I had been walking outside with no shoes on. We had double queen size beds when I pulled the covers back on the bed it had brown rice in the bed. I reported it but nothing was done about neither problem .

I was pleasantly surprised at how immensely clean the rooms were. The hallways smelled fresh as well. Its amazing what a difference this experience was compared to my stays at other hotels in town.

After a good time with casino play , having to drive back to Texas wasn’t even a question I have stayed at this location previously and was not disappointed. Seems like every time i go down this will be the place to stay . Very helpful staff , and no hassle check in .!! Thanks again for awesome stay
