I had an amazing time the hotel was awesome I love how we could walk to the store and restaurants near by waking up to the beach was great we loved it next time we come back it will be summer

Enjoyed our stay at Pacific Reef; it has the best hot tub on the coast. Rooms were fine but need upgrading since furniture does not match the space. Walk to the beach ideal. Breakfast buffet OK, staff very helpful. Property needs an upgrade since adjacent hotels are newer and refurbished. Big picture in back yard entertaining but not worth the space. They would do better putting in outdoor pool and spa near the beach, like their nextdoor neighbor hotel. Add a fire pit and tables during summer and you've got a great oudoor space.

What a wonderful experience! The room was very clean and odorless. The full kitchen was awesome and well stocked. The view was nice and we could hear the waves. It's a short walk to the beach. The best part was the light show. It was a series of short videos and was very fun to watch! We will definitely come again!!

Nice staff, clean rooms, dog friendly, conveniently within walking distance to the beach and almost everything in town.

It was amazing! The room was clean, we had a beautiful oceanfront condo which included a little kitchen which was great for heating up takeout or throwing a frozen pizza in for a late dinner. A beautiful view of the ocean and the nightly show. Gorgeous sunsets and a short walk to the ocean! Definitely recommend the Hunter Creek Bar & Grill for the best burger and tots you’ve ever had just up the road too! Would stay here again 10/10.

nice comfortable room, rocking chairs on patio overlooking the light show. Easy path to the beautiful beach.

Property is old and needs maintenance work, bag breakfast (juice pack water muffin ) was good for hike. Great coffee pastry shop across street

Great location on the beach! Older motel but comfortable and clean. Nice they offer a grab and go breakfast to get you going. Nice outdoor show on the screen after sunset.

Property was clean and comfortable. Fun entertainment, sweet staff and the breakfast to go were all lovely.

This is a unique property with its nightly light show (we did not watch the light show so don’t know how if it is good or not). It is located right on Hwy. 101. We stayed in one of the rooms closer to the road and did experience a lot of traffic/road noise. It seems to be an older property and could use some improvements for sure, but it is a decent place to stay. Our room was fairly spacious, and it was tidy and clean. Served our purpose just fine.

Nice room, very comfortable bed.
Bagged breakfast to go in the morning, with hot tea and coffee.

The only issue I had with the property is that the plumbing is very loud. If you have someone in an adjacent rooms then the walls are thin. And if they flush the toilet or shower, the plumbing is thunderous and loud. It is Loud enough to wake you up if you are sleeping or trying to sleep.

No complaints. Clean, very comfy bed, easy access to beach.

Shower was terrible - didn’t drain, lukewarm water and little pressure.
Desk staff were pleasant and location was good.

The property is clean and well maintained.
We stayed in one of the ocean view condo units, which was very nice…quick walk to the beach.
Saw one of the best sunsets ever the first night.

This is an old hotel but very clean with friendly staff I would stay again.

Ocean View with the sound waves were awesome. Easy walking access to the beach.

The light show, oregon coast history show, and Elvis music videos out our back door was very fun to watch. The stay was nice and a short walk to the beach. Very good service. Definitely my new vacation spot every chance i get

We got a room by the housekeeping facilities and were woken up pretty early due to sound. Had to be the worst room in the place.
2.0
Expensive then to not provide services as advertised. Spa not operating due to “pump is out and ordered”. I can order this and get it delivered overnight. Not acceptable when the room rate is over twice the price of other local hotels.

We checked for a six night stay - first room was dirty old looking, smelled, and tiniest refrigerator, we complained and on day 3 moved us to a studio. Studio was much better especially ocean view and was able to watch lightshow from room. Hot tub was broken the whole time -they should of stated on website one of the main reasons picked hotel

Hotel was older, but walking distance to beach

Honestly, it was average. Way overpriced for this space. Pictures are nicer than it looks person, definitely needs updating. If I were to travel this way again, I’d continue on a little bit further to brookings.
I also don’t understand the “light show” or why they feel the need to do anything. We watched out of curiosity and it was a video about Oregon.
Staff was very nice though. Grab and go breakfast was nice to have.

Not a good grab and Go breakfast
4.0
Since the lobby is only open certain times it would be nice if blow dryers were in the rooms especially since many people traveling are up and around before that time. An explanation of the grab and go breakfast would have been beneficial.

The light show was fun. The sound of the water and waves wonderful.

Overpriced for what you get.

The stay was fine. Very pricey for the quality of the hotel. The worst part was the light show. It was hardly that. It was a long ad for the state of Oregon (which is stunning) but there was nothing "light showy" about it. It blocks the beautiful ocean and is very gimmicky.

This place was fine for crash-and-go, although a little pricey for an aging strip motel. Hoping they will use the profit to get some new and larger towels. Having said that, the shower was strong enough to, as my partner said, clean out my inner ear.

We were able to check in early. Room was clean, felt somewhat old, but that’s pretty standard in Gold Beach/Brookings. Nice view of ocean from our porch (lower level). Easy 2 min walk to beach on private path. Light show was cute.
5.0
Nice enough for the night.

Window shade wouldn’t go all the way down. Main front door can see light all the way around, no seal. Grab bag for breakfast, reminder of 2020 covid era.

Very clean. Great saltwater hot tub. Nice location. We needed King bed but only queen available without spending $300 more.

I was disappointed with the appearance of our room. It looked like a cheap motel room. Wires draped across the wall from the tv to the electrical outlet. A microwave oven sat on top of an empty TV cabinet. The bed was uncomfortable. I heard road noise all night, and the sound from adjoining rooms was very loud, especially the shower in the next room.
2.0
You can tell they are trying to clean the place up and make it nice, but the inside of the room we stayed #225 was old beat up furniture, paint missing in the walls, stained carpet right as you entered the room. If it wasn’t for the amazing view and the fact we were so tired…we would have packed up and drove home. We paid $370 for 1 night, and we expected way more. Shocked that so many reviews were 4star or higher.
4.0
Very conveniently located if you’re driving down the 101. Felt very safe and comfortable.

We had a lower level room with a deck that was facing the ocean. It was peaceful listening to the ocean and watching the sunset. Just before dark, a deer walk right in front of us. It was the perfect end to the day.
4.0
Light show was pretty good. Proximity to brach was great to go stroll along the beach and sunset. Rooms were clean. Spinners restaurant good food.
2.0
The room and the mattress were clean. Standard room was extremely small and the town around the hotel was run down.
4.0
The staff was nice and responsible, he waited for us to check in till 10:00 pm. The location of the hotel is close to beach, about 5 minute walk. The place is quiet and safe, easy parking. While, the hotel is equipped simply, no air conditioner but electrical fan instead in the room. Only simple breakfast bag is provided.
