There (as usual) have been mixed reviews but I don't have any problem here especially at the price. One minor point was the kitchen units needed facelift.
Good location though on a hill so Costa Bonanza and Arroyo all walking distance. Entertainment underneath, pool and breakfast on site.

Doramar as per my standard is a 1 Star rated accommodation.
Reason: ONLY ONE AIRCON - In the pictures and description you may see that the apartment is "airconditioned" - which is only partially true. In the one bedroom apartment - there is no aircon in bedroom Only ONE SMALLEST aircon in the hall and a big window to the bedroom in the expectation that the bedroom wil get cool air from the hall :) :)
Staff is not great and not supportive at all. They think that this is a standard across the hotels to have only one aircon in the apartment.
Location is ok, lots of food options near by, some clubs and bars located in the 24 Hour Square which is walkable ( if you are interested in clubs )
Apartment is just about clean.
In my expectation - NEVER Stay here if you want a comfortable stay.
If you are looking for some beds to sleep at night with a min aircon - they this may suffice your needs.

Outdated, small rooms, awfully noisy.
We are a family of four, the bedroom had ok beds but the pull-out sofa was awful quality, dirty, right by the paper-thin window. Also, the condensing unit for the A/C was not outside but in a box inside the room with the window removed. One can imagine the noise it was making, as the box was right at the end of the sofa. All the rooms are the same, I can not understand how nobody complained about this. We could hear every noise from the street as if there were no windows at all. Bathroom was very small, the shower was minuscule and the smell was bad. The walls had signs of water damage, plaster was cracked on the ceiling. This apartment building is in dire need of a revamp. Staff were sour and did not understand how come we were unhappy with the room.

No balcony only air con in the sitting room had to ask for fresh sheets and towels when needed no cleaning done in 5 nights no baby pool not really suitable for kids .

The room though needs a bit of maintance.
Would have been great if the room was soundproofed because you can easily hear everything that's going on in the hallway and also you can hear very clearly your next rooms neighbours.

Love this place, has all amenities we need, in a convenient position and even get English TV channels. Staff are great, so friendly. Just could do with a little updating of rooms, showers and kitchen units but perfectly acceptable to use. Currently installing a new lift and electronic door locks

The Doramar stands in an excellent location for all amenities.
It has a pleasant bar/cafe, which serves good quality meals.
Baraoke each night from 21:30 and I have witnessed some really decent singers.
The housekeeping could be a little better, as the cleaners don't perform a daily service, but if there does happen to be anything you require, reception staff are always pleasant and helpful.
It is great value for money and intend using these apartments for the forseeable future.

Emailed hotel before we went as had 5 rooms booked wanted to be together they did not hesitate to get back to me .when we arrived the lady on reception was lovely the rooms are very basic but well equipped very very clean you also get a toiletry pack which was nice to . The apartments are in a fabulous location too we will not hesitate to go back some reviews saying it

Excellent location for the bars, restaurants and Marina in Benalmadena, this hotel offers good solid value for what we paid, without the luxury or warmth of the more expensive places. Staff were friendly, and the pool was ideal but could be too small for some. Id definitely visit again

An annual weekend getaway for 10 friends found us in the Doromar for the first time. We read the reviews and were expecting a wrecked Magaluf type of place. To our suprise the hotel an staff far exceeded our expectations. The staff were very friendly and the hotel room was very pleasant and clean. The twin rooms are a little cozey for two but theres a sofa bed in the main lounge so technically you have your own room each, if 2 to a room. The hotel supplies the towels and welcome toiletries. The shower has a great water pressure and the free AC in the room is a God send. The pool area is decent for its size and the bar staff were up for a laugh and tolerated a bit of light banter, even joining in. Didnt use the WiFi as the 4G coverage was good. The hotel do decent breakfast and do other food which we never got to try, but it looked fine. Overall a great hotel and I wouldnt hesitate to stay again in the future.
