It is a cozy place with friendly staff and great food options next door in the Pub, with live entertainment.

Just wonderful. Greeted immediately, and friendly. This place is immaculate! The room was very nice and cozy. We ate at the attached restaurant and the food and service was beyond compare.
We will stay again when we are up that way.

OK option for early October, two nights stay.
Nice restaurant in a beautifuly renovated barn for dinner, but for breakfast (and for gym) - you need to drive to another hotel nearby.
Need improvement with TV & wifi (we didnt TV or wifi for a whole day) and if you are 3 in the room - find yourself another place.. Sofa bed is just not comfortable.

This is a beautiful property located in a wonderful area for hiking and enjoying the outdoors. Onsite restaurant was wonderful!

What a beautiful inn! The front desk staff were so friendly - loved the little pre-made s'mores package and they even got the fire going for us. It is an old building so expect steep stairs and creaky floors but it is really well-maintained and beautiful. Would definitely stay again.

Our room was a little small, but the bathroom was full size and perfect, the AC worked, and the bed was incredibly comfy - the atmosphere was amazing, a rustic country resort type feel that likely works as well as or even better in the winter as it does in the summer. We walked around the grounds, and had dinner at the attached pub, The Shovel Handle, which was absolutely INCREDIBLE. This is a wonderful, down to earth place to stay if you want that "small town" charm. In the winter it'd likely be something rght out of a Hallmark Christmas movie. Just a wonderful visit.

Lovely place and kind people

Parking for only 5 vehicles on site. A spare parking lot that we could use involved walking in the road to access. There was a large tree in front of the hotel that had been mostly cut down with branches scattered that had to be walked around to get to the lot we parked in. We checked in at 3:30 on Saturday and checked out at 8:30 on Sunday and were charged a facility fee for two days even though we had been there less than 24 hours.
Overall, it was clean, bed was comfortable and staff was friendly. I would consider it a no frills place to stay.

The inn is cute on the outside and has a nice common area but the room was not great. I would not stay here again.

Nice room but very small. Room was clean and neat. Was upstairs so the need to carry luggage. Other than that it was fine.

Wonderful old New England style inn, well maintained and a pub/eatery attached. There is no elevator to the second floor (for anyone with disability) and the rooms vary in size and amenities. Wonderful atmosphere and great staff, though.

We actually we put in the building next door. Charged for amenities that were not there coffee maker had what looked like years of yuck stuck in the bottom. Room was supposed to have 2 beds there was only 1. Not room we payed for!!!!! Very disappointed in this stay.

The surrounding area was absolutely gorgeous. Wasn’t impressed with the restaurant on the grounds.

The inn was very quaint and service was good. But the place was noisy and there was a dog barking outside of our door at around 10 pm. The WiFi was also not strong.

Outstanding Experience. Great Place to stay. Old World Charm and the Shovel Handle Pub next door was a great place to eat. Definitely will be back

Beautiful location! The room was older and the walls are pretty thin. The floors and doors are noisy. Wifi was basically non existant. That being said the room itself was clean and staff were friendly.

This was our second stay here. Came up in the winter to snowboard and this visit we were here to hike and fish. We stayed in the cabin which was perfect for us. Jackson is such a beautiful area. The inn is very nice and quaint.

Old. Bad air conditioning no hot water

The room was very comfortable and clean. The staff is very helpful and friendly! The pool was green and there were a couple smelly dumpsters near the parking lot which made a poor first impression, but it ended up being a nice stay and we would stay here again at a good price

The Inn was very picturesque. It is a very peaceful setting.
We stayed in a Deluxe Queen Room. The 2 issues we had with our stay there is that we thought the bed was too firm and the pills too flat. I always bring my own pillow just in case. The other issue was that the bathroom was ridiculously small. If you are a person of excessive weight then I don't recommend room #3. I can't speak of any of the other rooms just room 3. My recommendation to the Inn is maybe take out the tub and put in a stand alone shower and shift the sink over so it is not 1 foot in front of the toilet.

The in. And room was beautifully clean. Room was spacious. Bathroom very nicely updated and clean. But the tavern advertised on line was no longer active.

Ceiling and walls were stained and peeling from a roof leak and mold was painted over.

Very clean! Staff were super nice and the room was in such good condition when we got there. It's a cute little cabin type room and was very comfortable. Not that far from North Conway.

Room was cold with broken bathroom tile. Toilet didnt work properly. Breakfast, however, was excellent as were the staff serving. Quite a challenge keeping up on a ski mountain that has seen its better days.

Our first time here and we will be back. It was clean, well kept and the staff was friendly and helpful. Walkable to Black Mountain. Breakfast available and the Shovel Handle Pub onsite was beautiful and whike we only had apps and drinks which were delicious, all the meals coming out looked amazing

Rooms are the same as on website. Rooms are clean, beds are comfortable, shower felt awesome - had great pressure and it felt like being home. Staff were all pleasant, friendly and informative. Breakfast was good and dinner was excellent. Cocktail was wonderful😊. Plenty of parking. I felt very safe there. I will return.

Beautiful property, close enough to the outlets but not so much that you’re impacted by the traffic. Such a cute, rustic feel in the rooms and lobby area.
Only thing I would complain about is the lack of bedside plugs for phones, tablets, etc. only plugs were on the other side of the room unless we unplugged the bedside lights.

Nice little place.

The room was small & outdated. The best part was breakfast the next day in the quaint dining room. Food was good as well as service! Cost was good as well!
No staff either!

Pretty area. Nice receptionist. Inexpensive for the area but In need of some updating appreciate old style, but the carpet, cracked, peeling linoleum, bedspreads, pillows, just needs updating. Cleanliness 3/5. 1 Curly black hair in both the sink and shower. Not enough Wi-Fi to get the TV to work. Just enough to login and then not strong enough to play anything. Tried several times during stay, never could get enough Wi-Fi strength in our room to watch anything. We picked this place because the pub in the inn looks cool and thought it would be a nice mountain town pub. The pub at this time of year, October, is only open like two days a week, so that was not for us. Overall, it’s not a bad experience, but not comfortable enough that I would return.

There website site photos are so,so, deceiving room are nothing like there photos. They dont tell you the rooms you chose are on the second floor of the Inn! A set of old steep steps, with stair runners that haven't be cleaned since the place was built, parking in front for 3 cars??? But there is parking around back if you want to walk no convenient for seniors citizens, especially the stairs to there second floor rooms corridors dark haven't been painted for years, I never leave bad reviews but this was an exception. Stay away. We left after sitting in this dark brown painted room for 15 minutes just in disbelief. Ended up a the Lodge at jackson village 5 minutes away, were we stood before, thank god they had a couple vacancies. Clean place great parking beautiful grounds. We just wanted to try some place different for a change, never again!!! Just beware, unless you know someone that has stayed there and can tell you something different. Stay away!!°

The bathroom had tiles that could be picked up off the floor because they were broken. It was a room that needed maintenance and had been neglected. Our room had dog hair all over the beds.
Place looks great in pictures but not a favorite to stay in.
