Heat in our room (239) would not work. The a/c kept coming on, even when we just turned it on the "off" position. Was freezing all night. Next morning (day of check out), housekeeping opened the room door around 9am while we were still in bed. Entrance of hotel was so cold that the front desk employees had to wear coats while working.

There was no receptionist when we arrived so after a 25 minute wait to check in, our room had no heat! Then we were moved to another room where there was no shower gel so we had to jump out of the shower to grab hand soap. The next day we asked for roomkeeping and were told they only tend rooms every other day. So no soap, clean towels and the best part was begging for these things in a hotel you expected more from. Not going back for the early knock on the door an hour before check out either.

Room was clean and bed comfortable. Strange room layout and nowhere near the sink to hang a hand towel. Since they didn’t offer housekeeping and you need to reuse the towels, there should be a better way to hang them. Ironing board is mini - in both length and height and the cover was useless.

I always choose to stay at Aloft while traveling. This is my first stay that was poor. My husband and I stayed for two nights. We were in room 334 in Bolingbrook Il. Beginning at about 10 pm each night our room was booming from the music (bass) in the hotel bar. A constant thump that lasted until 2 am each night. I called down to the front desk and informed them that our room was rattling from the music. I was told “it gets a little noisy down here!” The next morning when we checked out I asked to speak to a manager. Larry was the manager on duty. I explained the noise situation and was told “it gets lively in the bar.” I’m fine with lively but at least offer us earplugs or when I called the front desk initially, offer to change our room. Larry told me he would look into the issue and respond to my email, which he confirmed, within the hour. That was Sunday at 10:00 am and it’s now Wednesday night. I received no response from Larry the night manager. I will reconsider staying with Aloft in the future. I’m disappointed that our hotel of choice had such poor customer service when we had an issue.

We often stay at Aloft when visiting a city that has one and it’s always a pleasant stay. Room was good but the smell was horrendous. As soon as you walked into the door, the smell of horrible body odor hit us. It did each time we left and returned. It was as though someone had worked out hard for days without showering once type of body odor! I let front desk know - no discount or anything of the sort was offered (I didn’t ask for it).

I booked at the wrong Aloft. And the receptionist at the correct hotel saved the day! She was amazing and made sure me and my 68 year old mother had a room. She even helped me cancel my other reservation!

There was no restaurant on the property although the amenities lists a restaurant. They had around 5 or 6 bar snacks. There was a noise throughout the night. We didn't know if it was the pipes or something else but had to run the air conditioning all night in an attempt to drown out the noise. The alarm clock was incorrect and couldn't be changed. The breakfast sandwiches had no flavor.

The cleanliness was very good. The room was comfortable. All in all a very good slow. It took over a hour to bring up fresh towels which I was not pleased with but overall very good. Comfortable place to lay your head. I would stay again.

Arriving on a dark wet night was not the best introduction and my much anticipated stay at this trendy, contemporary hotel plummetted. The corridors are midnight blue with moody, fabric pillows of light fixtures barely illuminating the hallway. Opening our room door, showed the same dark carpeting and a room with no task lighting, no overhead light, and only 2 underpowered room sconces where one places the suitcases. I had to use my phone flashlight to find anything in my suitcase. I gave up on finding my phone charger everything was so dim. The linens were quite rough giving a very budget hotel vibe. When morning came, I was able to open the blinds and locate my necessities. The room was quiet and had a good shower so not a total loss but, I won't be back. I was quite disappointed having consciously chosen what I thought would have been an upgraded experience. I suggest you give this one a miss.

Overall great stay. Very clean and staff was friendly. My only complaint was that we could hear music, maybe from the bar and had some loud people from a wedding party across the hall late at night/early morning.

Room was very nice. Thermostat was not calibrated correctly. Had to keep setting it higher to get it to shut off at a reasonable temperature. It kept kicking on through the night. Thermostat was set on 83 and the room was 68. The AC definitely worked just inconvenient to attempt to get a comfortable room temperature setting.

Everything was great. The 1 issue i had was i had a late checkout till 1pm and room service kept knocking on my door ever hour since 11am askinf if I was checking out. Other than that everything was great.

Horrible experience Expedia charged me for the room and the hotel said they didn’t get the payment MIA at the front desk was so rude she was more worried about her FaceTime call then helping a customer all This going on at midnight had to pay another room and still havnt been credited back

Nice rooms and near everything. Only thing is all night we kept hearing banging so I’m a light sleeper n kept waking up from it. Realized it had to be the plumbing. Overall it was great.

When I first checked into our room the toilet was broke was I had to pack me and children up to go to another room. Then I asked for the Wi-Fi which didn’t work my entire stay. The front clerk had a awful attitude. I asked for more towels but never received them. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone.

My husband and I stayed to celebrate his birthday. Unfortunately there was a basketball team staying the same time. They bounced the basketball back and forth in the halls. Knocked on our door and running. Our stay was not relaxing at all.
