Great hotel, centrally located & only 5 minutes walk from the station.
Check in was easy with terminals in lobby, and there was someone on hand for an issues.
Reasonably priced for an expensive city.
Beds were very comfortable. Rooms were small, but who spends that much time on your room when there is so much to see!
Loved the common areas & kitchenette, ideal if travelling in a group so you can socialise together.
On complaint was the outside noise late at night & the trams early in the morning.

Central location. Comfortable, offerng budget options, with easy access to all parts of central Oslo. Rooms have interesting art. Shared kitchen and sitting lounges on the ground floor.

One that often get first when sorted after price (is cheapest). Do not get more central. No breakfast option but got restaurant next door has agreement with. Great facilities in reseption area. Fully automated in and out checking but there always effective staff to be found if glitches. To hard beds for my taste. Missing glasses in rooms (big irritation moment for me since we brush theets). Bit more towels could been nice.

cheap hotel with good location - but absolute chaos when we were checking on the automated system
no one picked up the phone, no staff on site - we waited for more than 1 hour before there was finally staff.
System issues can happen but no support on any phone number for hours is unacceptable

The hotel location is great! It's close to the main Oslo station and there's a tram station right in front of their door. Walking distance to good choice of restaurants and shops. However, there are 3 parts of this hotel. One of them is very old and definitely need renovation! There's thick dust in the toilet ventilation. The door design is weird which keep the wash room close, hence, smell when you firstly open. The common area is not clean and many flies even in autumn time. Travellers there are also not well behaved, the fridge is very messy and the staff didn't clear overdue food, my food in fridge being taken by someone.

Good job, men litt bedre renhold

Walls were not sound isolated which meant you would for example wake up by people walking or talking outside your room.

Great concept, all very slick but no frills, almost hostel like but better and best location. Great to have a shared communal space with fridge, etc, shame that my food gor stolen from the fridge overnight but not really the hotel's fault

Forventet lite rom og det ble det, men ble litt lurt av melding om oppgradering ved innsjekk! Ikke TV og ikke USB ladepunkt.

Basic hotel for a stay in Oslo - comfortable bed and warm room. Contactless check in, supposedly. Had a few technical hitches which were sorted by the available ‘hosts’. Unfortunately, this was often met with disdain, like I had disturbed them (with the exception of one helpful member of staff). However, all issues were sorted eventually. Great ability to be able to leave luggage, and kettle, extra towels etc available on request. Coffee machine in the communal kitchen, but costs extra. A distinctly average stage, despite the apathetic hosts. This is how they advertise the stay so worth the reduced price! Definitely a good idea for a brief stint in Oslo where you don’t plan to spend much time in the hotel.

Great location, easy check in and luggage storing. Quiet. Simple room, had some issues with the thermostat, either too hot or very noisy. Other than that its perfect for one night.

Citybox is amazing. Afforable for such a great service and quality stay. Hotels are designed with so much creativity and modern aspects. Very easy kiosk check in and check out, but staff are there in case anything is needed. Rooms are spacious. Wifi is good. They offer few things like a kettle and microwave in the lobby and the hotel has a lot of social areas.

Great little stopover, few mins walk to Oslo Central train station.
Quick and easy check in.
Will definitely use again.
We need places like this in London.

Location was good and close to the station and many other attractions. The common pantry was very useful to heat up any food as they had microwaves and also a sink to wash our cutlery. They also provided disposable cutlery. Check in was easy and you could contact the staff if needed. Rooms were clean.

Fantastic stay. Would really recommend for a stay in Oslo.

Extremely pleased with the facility and location! As Solo Traveler, important to feel safe, which I did. Right by both the Opera House and the train station (the one you'd take from the airport), as well off the main thoroughfare, couldn't have asked for a better location. I booked an individual bedroon in the hostel, and loved it. Nice bathroom. Only problem was during check in, the Hotels.com Reservation Confirmation number IS NOT the number you need to check in. I would NOT try to check in without a Citybox employee there to help. It is a completely different number and since check in is at a self-service kiosk, if you try to check in after hours, you'll be SOL. I was fortunate that I checked in during the day, so no problem. Also, GREAT luggage storage. Would def stay again and recommend to my friends. A+

The hotel emails you a code about 6 hours prior to arrival, totally contactless check in and keys issued (great). You look at the hotel guide to see where your room is and which elevator to use (note: one elevator per area, may need to wait for next elevator as they are not that large and many people staying there). Rooms are basic and minimal - you can get additional towels on first floor, a few hangers and hooks to hang items, large windows (great natural light). There is a train stop right outside the hotel. The central train station is about a 5 minute walk.

The overall service is fine but there is not enough space for luggage.

The room is very pleasant. It's clean and is super enough for one person. It's comfortable. But I barely slept because I can hear all the noise from outside in which I understand because of monday rush. However, I don't know if its the guests or whoever. I can hear the banging of doors in the morning as well. But overall its good.

The ease of checking yourself in was quick and easy. This facility felt more like a hostel than a hotel but we didn't mind. I wish we would have had a fridge in our hotel room but other than that, everything was great. The cafe was also a nice touch and convenient to grab a pastry and coffee before heading out for our day.

The doorlock did not work properly, room was worn out and very basic. Elevator could not be used for the 4th floor and was not repaired the 3 days I stayed.

I stayed in Citybox Bergen right before coming to Oslo, compared to Oslo one, Bergen’s is much better, newer and cleaner. Oslo one is quite aged, both the room and the lobby/ common area. Many flies in the common area and I feel it’s not clean. The fridge is full and unorganised, my food was rearranged by someone else which make me difficult to find( the packaging was removed for some reasons). The bathroom design is not user friendly, the door was designed to be closed which the ventilation is not good and created some smell. The sink is suitable for hand wash only, it’s even not big enough for washing face. The bed is comfortable but there’s some weird noise at night, I need to play music to cover it. In general, it’s ok coz great location, but there’s lots of room to improve the cleanliness and facilities of the building.

A hotel with no reception desk. Simply type in your reference no. And a key issued after you have paid.
No coffee or tea in room and no TV either.

Very efficient! From check in to check out. Only comment was about the fridge (I just open it up) and it was vert messy.

Great location near the central area of Oslo with shops, station, buses and trams near by.

Half a step above a hostle. Floors were kinda sticky, shampoo container was empty, very little space for storing items. Bed was comfortable enough though, and being 5 minutes away from the train station was a huge plus.

Convenient location. Helpful staff. We were two but it might be we were given a room for one. Why? There was only one bedlight instead of two. Another quirk. Citibox does not provide even paper cups in the room. You have to get them yourself in the kitchen downstairs. There is no TV in the rooms. For the price we pay...

Super close to the train station which was incredibly conveninet.

The check in was difficult as my Expedia confirmation number did not work on the digital checking in machines. I found someone inside once I waited for another guest to leave. I was told “ We have a problem with Expedia”. Hmmm!
Otherwise all went well.
It’s very central hotel and adjacent to a tram stop which is great for access to all parts of the city. Oslo is quite walkable if you have the time, youth and physical health for it.

Great place to stay on a budget. A 5 minute walk to central station and several key destinations downtown. The rooms are small and very sparse however. Not complaining about that, but they really could use a basic shelf or two just to have somewhere to put some belongs during the stay.

Excellent property for those on a budget. Basic but had everything you needed. Would have been useful if the laundry was open 24hrs.

Greit hotell, enkel sjølbetjening.
Men; air condition/ventilasjonsanlegg bør vi forvente i 2024?

Very central, and easy to check in and out.
A little noisy, especially from the trams, but that is to be expected in a city centre.

You need to understand that this is a very basic hotel. Clean and nice. But self registration, no coffee, no refrigerators, no shampoo, no tissue. It is basically a step up from a hostel for adults. It is fine

Great hotel and short walk train stations.

Cannot rate the staff 'because I didn't meet any. The place is comfortable, conveniently located and affordable, and the e-registration is fairly efficient. A good formula.

Compact and slim
The room assigned for me was face to the street that I feel a sense of openness
