Attractive hotel with 1 member of staff and cleaner. Walking distance to the town with nice restaurants cafe bars/shops places of interest. Hotel is tired and needs updating and maintenance. £585 inc taxes!! for a room that was very small,( not room enough for 2 people) dust under the bed & cobwebs on the ceiling, the shower floor was very cracked, needs to be removed and replaced. The food for breakfast was ok. I was disappointed and won’t be returning to this hotel.

It is a lovely property and the breakfasts were super - lots of self service choice, but if you like something hot, then forget it.

Nice location. Nice staff. But our room felt too basic and shabby. Holes in wall where fixtures were removed. Just strange weird things. Cute place but I would try somewhere else next time.

This small, cosy hotel offers a good way to visit Vence without feeling hemmed in by tourists. The best things about the hotel are its quiet location, the in-room air conditioning, the swimming pool, and the on-site parking.
The location of the hotel is convenient: it is just a few minutes walk to the busy narrow streets of the historical center and to the Matisse Chapel. Another advantage is that it is very quiet because it is not right in the center of the crowded town. Convenient on-site parking costs 8 Euros per night (reserve ahead). Note that the hotel entrance is on a lower level – take the stairs up to the rooms and pool. Nina at the reception desk was friendly and helpful.
We stayed in room number 2, up two flights of stairs. The room was small but the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom and walk-in shower are fully equipped. The in-room air conditioning was great – we visited during the heatwave in July. The swimming pool is a major bonus. Take a refreshing dip and then relax on the loungers. Breakfast is included in the price and can be eaten on the terrace but the food quality was not great. A few other things could be improved. The outdoor speakers play rock music from early in the morning until nighttime – totally unnecessary! The in-room fridge needed to be defrosted. The in-room deoderiser was not needed.
Summary: Villa Roseraie is a great place to stay when visiting Vence. Although a few things could be improved, we would consider staying here again.

Absolute Gem! The cutest little hotel. Angela, the concierge was very helpful, and went above and beyond to explain every aspect of the property, and nearby area. Would definitely book again.

We got a one bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms in the lowest floor, with good view of the garden and can access the garden directly. Very stylish an clean rooms and bathrooms. Staff were nice and helpful. 5 mins walk to the Vence city / old town, with many restaurants (provide breakfast) and a interesting local market. Very nice and relating area.

Our family of 4 was looking for a hotel with a local flavor near one of the medieval villages, and the Villa Roseraie was just what we were looking for. The room (suite with balcony) was very spacious with a perfect blend of classic decoration with modern upgrades, had a great outdoor garden area, and was a 5-10 min walk to the town center. The hosts were fantastic, providing a great French breakfast with eggs to order and helping feel at home.

Charming and well located small hotel in a good location near Vence's city center. Friendly (and fluent in English) owners helped us with directions and suggestions about best nearby tourist attractions, which was very nice. The room we stayed in (for 2 nights) is comfortable and nicely decorated (on the 3rd floor) but because there is no elevator, guests need to be prepared to use the stairways. The area is safe and within walking distance to the city center. Free Wi-Fi worked fairly well in our room and complimentary bottle of water and coffee in the room are nice touches. Arriving by car was easy following the car's GPS and the hotel offers free parking in the premises. Hotel's gate closes at 9:00PM but after you checked in they will give you a code to the gate so you can go in and out without a problem (it seems that if you would arrive after 9:00PM you would need to make arrangements with management for a "late" check in. Since we had a car we can't say how easy or difficult would it be to get around the Vence area using taxis or public transportation. The hotel offers breakfast for a fee (EUR 12.00 per person) but we did not take breakfast there so we can't comment on it but judging by how well kept the entire hotel is, I assume it should be good for the money. We would stay again at this hotel without hesitation and would recommend it to other travelers as well.

Me and my wife had awesome time there. The hotel was cozy, the rooms were very nice, clean, and they had a lot of character. The owners were very helpful from right out of start personally showing the room plus gave some good recommendations for the local dining experience. Sadly we were able to stay in the area only for one night, but I would definitely go back for more extended vacation and stay in this hotel.

Spent two nights here at the end of 10 day tour of Provence and were kindly upgraded for the second night to a suite by the owner.

Nice "charm" to small, cozy hotel. Gregory was kind, pleasant and spoke good English. Our room, although small, had a comfortable bed, nicely decorated in French motif and was stocked with olive fragranced amenities in the bathroom. My only disappointment was the breakfast offered prepackaged bakery items and the fruit looked a few days old...no worries as we walked to the market square (10 min) and had breakfast there. Pleasant experience otherwise.

It was my first visit to Southern France. Location - VENCE - is very good to feel calm Provence local. Just 20min from Nice airport and easy access to St.Paul de Vence. Also, the hotel owners were so friendly making the stay comfortable and easy. The breakfast at 12EURO was must to have - peaceful morning at terrace beside of swimming pool - with good selection of breads and foods. I definately stay here again for next trip.

The hotel was charming just as the name suggests. The entire staff was friendly and helpful in suggesting delicious restaurants in the neighborhood, helping up get our vehicle in and out of the driveway, and getting us anything we needed from the bar. They always had service with a smile. The only things that were off a bit were the ants in the room (doesn't bother me much as I have lived in climates where that happens but other might be put out), the water in the shower was a bit touchy to get the correct setting from scalding hot or freezer cold (but with a little patience and playing with the handles I was able to have a nice warm shower), and the comfort of the bed (it may just be time for a new mattress). Otherwise, the pool, the bar/breakfast area (we didn't eat breakfast there so I can't review that), and the free enclosed parking are all wonderful as well. It is just a short walk into the old village and a perfect launching pad to explore the surrounding areas. We adored Charme and wish we had more time there.

We thoroughly enjoyed our three day stay at La Roseraie. The grounds and pool were delightful and so well maintained. The room and bathroom contained everything we needed and the bed was very comfortable. Gregory and Emanuelle were wonderful hosts and always on hand for any service or help. They have made the hotel a lovely, special place to stay. Great breakfast; great parking; beautifully furnished rooms full of character.we will certainly stay here again when next in Vence.

This was my best not ordinary hotel stay. Very charming small and cozy, yet very clean, comfy, quite, with scienery views and wonderful service. This hotel will easy outbid any so called "5 star" resorts in popular south destinations. The only request i would like to make is to have softer pillows.

From the moment we arrived, our hosts Emanunelle and Gregory enveloped us with friendliness and helpfulness. The picturesque setting provided a backdrop for a comfortable and reasonable 3 day stay. We savored the delicious breakfast and appreciated the charming decor.

Good experience. Quiet air-conditioning which was important because we could close the windows - not what we like to do - but the town and road noise was a bit much for us since we live in quietness and are not used to road or city noise.

Nothing like a large hotel. Personal, comfortable and very welcoming. Each room is different. there is a kind of Bohemian theme in our room but when you actually visit Medieval Vence - it all makes sense. I loved this hotel and would happily go back. I stayed in 6 hotels over this holiday and i must say this was the comfiest bed by far.

The hotel was easy to find and owners welcoming. Pool refreshing and not too far to walk to town. Good choice of location as we did not want a noisy, brand hotel.

Vence was not easy to find, but once we found Vence, the hotel was easy to find. The hotel was very old and charming and had a good parking area and a nice pool and outside sitting area. The proprietor, Max was very friendly and helpful. The room was very cute and comfortable. The bathroom decor was a little garish, but the bathroom was large and everything worked great. The patio off the front of our room was a nice touch so we could sit out in the evening and enjoy our wine and appetizers. Since it was a little off the main streets of town it was quiet. WIFI worked great. Grocery store and many restaurants within walking distance.

Wonderful owners! Perfect location to visit the old town of Vence...A fascinating beautiful city. Easy access to Nice/Cannes. Picturesque setting in the hill side of the south of France. Away from the hustle and bustle of Nice/Cannes.

The hotel is charming, friendly, aesthetically pleasing and the garden and rooms are beautifully arranged. The pool was great during the hot August. days, and the views were stunning. The only small drawback was the proximity of the roads. Easy walking distance to the historic center shops and restaurants

this is an exceptionally beautiful little hotel ,well positioned in vence which is a charming small town . each room is decorated in its own style and the owners have gone to considerable lengths to preserve all the traditional features . it is a million miles away from the large hotel chain style .the hotel is set in lovely gardens and there is a small but useful swimming pool, lots of sun loungers and a terrace with bar .the views are spectacular . the owners max and his wife laurence are exceptionally attentive and helpful .go and enjoy for yourself .

This hotel has character, charm, proximity to the centre of Vence, the Alpes-Maritimes and the glorious Matisse chapel. It also offer secure, secluded off-road parking and a glorious view to the mountains from the breakfast terrace.
The owners are relaxed and efficient and take delight in your attempts to speak French.
It is France therefore the bijoux bathrooms may not be to everyone's taste but they are clean and functional.
