The restaurant was amazing.

Charming and quiet. We loved the pool and our room. The room we had still had some finishing touches to be completed but overall it was clean and well-maintained. Loved the “white noise” effect coming from the little waterfall outside.
We had dinner at the hotel restaurant twice and all the food we tried is excellent. It is also very convenient to have dinner there in case you don’t want to go out of the hotel.

This is a beautiful and very comfortable hotel. They have a nice restaurant. They also do breakfast included, which is good and the service is excellent.

We stayed in a family unit that wasn’t quite finished yet but we had the option to move. We decided not to. The boys loved it. It was a very nice room and will be fantastic when it is completed. Breakfast was great and the pool is really nice.

This is one of the most wonderful hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It’s so charming! The restaurant is amazing. The service in both the hotel and the restaurant is way above expectations. Our room was perfect and overlooked the river. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I cannot say enough how much we enjoyed our stay here. With two adults and two teenagers, things can get a bit cramped and when we arrived, the gentleman who received us, upon seeing how big our kids are and how difficult it might be for them to comfortably sleep in the loft of the room we'd reserved, offered us at no extra charge a much bigger room with two bedrooms and a lovely balcony overlooking the Rio Lis. I was excited to see whether this hotel lived up to the charming photos online, and I can say with no hesitation it met and far exceeded my already high hopes. Of all the places we stayed in Lisbon and Porto throughout our trip, we all agreed this hotel (and its gorgeous restaurant below) were our favorite.

Beautiful, tastefully decorated rooms with comfortable beds and a good bathroom. The hotel is part of an excellent restaurant that is open 7 days a week. We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and ate in the restaurant every night. If you have a car, you can visit many sights in the area during the day. And in the evening you can completely relax in Casa da Nora. The price-quality ratio is very good.

Absolutely stunning location and beautiful grounds and gardens. Our room was charming and lovingly decorated. The absolute stand-out was the restaurant. Sensational dinner and packed with locals, so book a table outside, under the walnut tree before other guests take the best seats. Lovely swimming pool.

The room was clean.
However, we could not be provided with our own kettle, I could only request hot water once when there was someone at reception but usually this was closed in the evening. The wallpaper in the room was coming off.
The gate had to be opened manually if you wanted to park your car inside, and on separate occasions both my mother and I had cut the skin on the back of our hands when pulling up the lock of the gate as it was rusty and jammed.
One of the staff did not seem very friendly or welcoming, but another was very nice.

This hotel is very nicely appointed. It is clean and modern and based on previous reviews I was expecting a nice stay...and it wasnt bad. But neither was it good. The two most important things for me is the bed (for sleep quality) and the bathroom (who doesnt like a good shower or bath while travelling?). In both of these things this hotel failed, which is such a shame, because they had put a lot of obvious effort into so many other things. The bed was firm to the point of hard and uncomfortable - I had to turn many times in the night because my ribs or shoulders ached from the hard mattress (and I have a firm mattress at home). There were two pillows - one a decorative one and another plain. Since I am happy with only one pillow, and the plain one was very thin, I put the plain one aside and used the thick decorative one. But during the night it was clearly too fat and my neck ached so I had to swap - to the pillow that was about as thin as a wafer biscuit. We got up at 7am and my partner opted for the first shower. Half way through, the water turned cold (really cold, and this is November). So I was not going there to have a freezing shower. This is the last thing you expect or want on a trip and was annoying. The final annoying thing was, we wanted to leave by 7:30am but breakfast only started at 8am, with no provisions for anything earlier. So I left this hotel a bit tired, dirty and hungry. They spent so much time, effort and money but missed the important things.

This original watermill has been converted into a very good restaurant and small hotel. The hotel is OK. The room (The Rio Room, which is the best suite) was very comfortable for our family of four, but WiFi didnt work for us. The pool was clean but the garden is small and had a bit of a back yard feel; a bit weary. We only stayed one night and it was a good stop off.

Hotel was a bit difficult to locate but once there we were greeted by wonderful staff, a special thank you to Rudolf, he is the best. The rooms were spotless and the premises were beautiful. We highly recommend this hotel.

Wonderful little hotel with modern facilities and rooms but loads of rustic charm as you hear the river and watch the water wheel slowly go around. Nice location for the areas attractions. I would thoroughly recommend this hotel. One word of warning - and this is not to do with the hotel per se - GPS systems and Google Maps takes you to the wrong place, which does not meet the description above! Make sure you get Largo not Rua when you look it up, the place is really easy to get to if you know where it is!
