Probably run down, empty hotel and the reception gave us the baddest room with no view. The reception was not aligned at all with the accomodation...I'm sure there's is better choices at Geilo than this. Pick better options.

Large, sprawling, quirky hotel. Lots of interesting old photos, decor items throughout the many common areas - fun to explore. Small but adequate room, comfortable beds, everything we needed. Quiet at this time of year, but still plenty of guests. Really enjoyed the stay.

Convenient location to Geilo station. The hotel would be great in the snow season. Unfortunately the bathrooms are starting to show their age. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is quite nice and has a lot of heritage. Comfortable stay.

Very cozy old hotel with lots of charm and atmosphere. It might be a bit worn, but that is part of the charm and to be prioritzed instead of new ordinary hotels. Free parkering and wonderful view over the mountains and skiing area. We had dinner in the sports bar - nothing fancy, but dining can be done in the restaurant also. Very nice staff and very nice breakfast. We will come back if we need to stay in Geilo again.

Old and outworn, but has its charm. Very understaffed, probably one of the reasons customer service is so bad. Lots of drunk people everywhere during all times. Extremely noisy, and zero comfort at the room. Not very family friendly, except for the little playroom on 1st floor. We didn’t sleep much and ended up going home one day before. Very disappointed.

We really enjoyed staying at Dr Holms Hotel. It’s old, appears to have an original building and multiple additions, but the grand, rich character is still there. Breakfast was great- we just wish we had more time!

My favorite hotel in Geilo. We often pass through and spend a night or two and have tried a few other hotels in the area, but I always end up back here. Nice place, nice service and facilities, central and just a good feel in general. Worth paying slightly more compared to cheaper options for me. I have one minor annoyance every time though: Some bathrooms are a bit dated and the showerheads in many family rooms(?) almost can't be angled out at all (when the shower head is in it's holder at max angle out the water still mostly hits the wall, so unless you are holding the head or taking a bath you need to stand pressed into the wall to get hit by some of the water).

Clean rooms, ok dinner but boring with the same small meny everyday. Did not like the breakfast, no lattemachine, scrambeled eggs from powder and extremely dry bread.The hotel lounge is nice and cozy, but they played horrible music( heavyrock) and I had to ask them to change. The staff should really try to make people spend time i the lounge aerea because there were hardly any people there after 8 PM even though the hotel had a lot of guests.We are a little disapointed.
