Basic no frills motel. Very cost efficient.

It took a half hour to check in, it wasnt the young lady at the desks fault, she was the only employee there and the phone never stopped ringing. The room looked like something out of the 70s, not sure if thats what they were going for or its just never been updated. The place stunk of Marijuana, and there were drunks in the parking lot hollering all night. The beds were rock hard. The pillows totally flat and we had to pick the hair out of the sheets. The tv didnt work and the counter in the bathroom was filthy. I wanted to leave but I was outvoted by my family who just wanted to get some rest. For a few bucks more there are way better places in Marquette. We wont be back.

Beds were too small and very uncomfortable. Too noisy.

Our daughters stayed in a separate room that had mold on the AC unit and a blood stain on the sheets. Our room was so hot when we entered and couldn’t get it to cool off for 24 hrs. Neither rooms TV worked for the first 24 hrs. I think it’s time for the owner to spruce up the original motel rooms, and maintain them. We’ve stayed here every time we’ve been in Marquette for the past 8 yrs but I’m not sure we will be in the future.

It was a basic room. My only criticism is that the room was very dark, only one desk lamp to light the room. I shouldnt have to use a flashlight with the light on. Otherwise it was good. The breakfast was great.

We stayed here a few years ago, but before they acquired this new addition. I love the new lobby & vintage decorations in this new addition. It was a huge room & could've easily fit 2 queen beds instead of the 2 double beds that were in there. It was clean & comfy and for our needs for a place to sleep.

Very friendly staff at check in and during breakfast. Decent breakfast included. Rooms were clean and updated slightly. Affordable compared to other properties in town during Norther Michigan University Wildcat Weekend for prospective new students.

Stay was not so good. Needs updating! Room was dark with only 2 lamps for light! There were NO drawers of any kind or place to put clothing! There was no ‘easy chair’ only the plastic molded one.
Was very disappointed.

A very good experience. It was very cute and clean. No complaints!

Stayed in the Imperial side. I prefer the Cedar side. Room had a peculiar odor, like vinegar. Still a good value.

It was lovely. Needs more lighting in the room. Very clean and comfortable

They are working to improve their service and the buildings. breakfast was nice- refilled often. Pleasantly surprised on the quietness given that it was parent's weekend. Keep up the good work

We turned thermostat up upon arrival but no change. At 9pm called front desk and reported no heat. Staff said would contact co worker something about circuit breaker and would call back. Never heard back and had no heat entire stay. The hair dryer fan did not work. The element got hot but no fan. Both issues were reported at check out. The hot tub had what seemed like a lot of sand or dirt readily visible in the corners. The bed was comfortable and sink and show had good pressure and hot water.

Lovely place. This time got the room closer to the hot tub! Loved that. Very eclectic decoration. Food is yummy for the continental breakfast

Wished the hot tub was hot but the sauna made up for it after a day of driving. Beds were perfect for these old bones.

It was fine for our one night stay to enjoy time with granddaughter going NMU. The price was better then most other motels.

I was here for a veterans meeting and booked it based on the very decent reviews. I found the property a bit too rustic for me, and the layout of the room was very odd with lots of empty unused space. Perhaps the tipping point was the air conditioner - or lack thereof. There was a wall unit of some sort that was rusty and the guts of the conditioner exposed. I plugged it in and it started making a low hum, but nothing happened. The daytime temps were in the upper 70s, so the room was warm. There was a window that was supposed to open, but it was jammed shut. The heavy traffic noice (as well as the noise of partying guests) would have made sleep difficult anyway. The breakfast consisted of what I recognized as powdered eggs and French toast sticks. I will stay elsewhere when I come back in March.

The decor is dated but the room was clean and spacious. The hotel was full but it was still quiet and peaceful. Standard continental breakfast. Friendly staff!

The room was clean, and good beds. The breakfast was minimal. Ran out of scrambled eggs with people coming in, but didn’t refill in a very timely manner.

Clean, but old.

Other than the lamp that did not work unless you plugged it in or unplugged it and getting locked out of the room randomly, I enjoyed my stay. Staff managed to professionally and quickly get me back into my room.

Caring staff and quiet room. Only complaint is the grounds (outside), really needs to be weeded and cleaned up.

Room was clean, large, good shower, reasonably comfortable bed. Nice dog walking trail behind inn. Nice pool and hot tub. Sparse breakfast, french toast sticks and powdered scrambled eggs, cereal and mini muffins, coffee and juice. Check in person not very welcoming, check put person was friendlier. Grounds did feel safe, well lighted when I took dogs out at night. Best thing about this place, it's pet friendly. I do have to say even though the section we were in was full, we didn't hear the other guests, which was great.

Nice place very clean. Pool hot tub sauna. Very friendly staff. A lot of pride in property. Flowers planted etc. but this is an old motor inn so have expectations set accordingly. Would stay here again

Nice place to rest and use the internet. Could use a little more lighting, and maybe a painting refresh. Would stay there again!

For a place getting $200/ night the “breakfast” was pathetic. Some disgusting eggs, no meat,no fruit, no yogurt.
Exterior of property is shabby.
Rooms are ok, nice.
Bathrooms have an ignorant low round toilet.
TV viewing required juggling of remotes with poor instructions. Find some other place.

Very cute roadside motel. It's actually 2 old motel's combined into one, but recently remodeled and updated.
The indoor pool, hot tub, and sauna was a bonus. Continental breakfast was pretty standard.

We booked the least costly of their rooms. While the decor was obviously dated, the room was clean and bed comfortable. Good value for cost.

Very impressed with this motel. Room was updated but had retro vibe. Quiet and safe. Used the hot tub and had breakfast both were good. Dont hesitate to stay here.

Our stay at the Cedar Motor Inn was beyond disappointing. We checked the reviews and photos online before booking and the room we were assigned was nothing like the hotel advertised. The room had a musty odor with horribly stained carpets. It was close to 90 degrees during our stay and we had to turn off our window air conditioning unit due to it being full of mold. For the price we paid for this room, we were expecting better.

Didn't like The Hudson restaurant next door, but enjoyed everything else about our stay. Kids loved it, too.
