Went on a family trip with my 2 kids and husband. Overall the place was beautiful and staff was very friendly. Few complaints were that there was more trash left around than I expected from such a well maintained facility. I know for a fact, I saw the same trash that was never picked up 2 days in a row in the same spot. Also..beware of the bees! Apparently there is a huge hive they maintain somewhere on the property which causes spill over to the other areas and we were getting relentlessly pestered by the bees more than once over at the water park which was incredibly annoying. Not to mention painful when we got stung just trying to walk from one area to another.

Enjoyed my stay for the most part, but I did not enjoy the ants in my bed. Got bitten a few times. Had to sleep on top of the covers to avoid being bitten any further. Brought it to the staff's attention after the first night, but the problem was not solved. At checkout there was an employee with bug killer on my floor. The person at check out said they had similar complaints from other guests that weekend. I realize with it being Labor Day weekend that there probably wasn't another room they could move me too. I basically tried to avoid my room as much as possible by staying by the pool. Would have been an awesome experience, but ants in the bed is a big problem.

This place was insanely overpriced and overrun with screaming kids everywhere. The staff was completely in knowledgeable for any questions we asked. The food was terrible and so expensive. We almost left a day early. Terrible experience overall.

Overall, it was a very nice experience. The hotel and grounds are beautiful. The pool area was clean but crowded. The service in the pool area was excellent. With that said, there were a couple of issues. We were originally assigned a room with one bed even though we had a reservation for a room with two queen beds. The person at the front corrected this and was very nice. Also, as suggested, I completed the pre check-in over the internet but still had to stand in line to go thru the process again. I was told it’s like checking in for a plane and something about assigning our room. That didn’t work because we were assigned a room with one bed! Would we go back? Yes, but I won’t bother to check-in before hand and I’ll verify the room description before leaving the front desk! Then we were unable to view our bill on the room tv, so I had stand in line to see my bill and check out.

We were not impressed. The room had old damaged furniture, and the carpet was old and stained. The map of the property was incredibly confusing, and we always had to ask. There were tons of kids making noise the whole time. It was not relaxing. The staff were not helpful. When I called as I had left a few things in the room, they kept hanging up on me. The food service was terrible and took forever. Limited food options especially after 10 p.m.. overall, not good value for your money.

Really beautiful property especially the balconies. However had to change rooms due to the heavy bleach smell from cleaning. Suggest that housekeeping staff open the balcony doors to air out the room once finished. Very nice staff as well. Will definitely be back!

It was a great place to spend a few days with our family at the JW Marriot Hill Country. A great time was had by all at the waterpark with the slides, beach area, lazy rivers, and kids play areas. It's endless fun! Our family enjoyed the gorgeous property and the variety of dining options. In addition to playing pickleball with additional onsite guests, we enjoyed meeting the amazing staff members. Overall, we look forward to returning much more in the future.

Family enjoyed the property and its amenities. It was very clean and the resort as well as the surroundings were beautiful. The only issues we had were with the valet system on check-out. I understand that there are many people checking out at the same time and others coming in to check-in. I think there should be a system where one lane is for valet drop-off and the other for valet pick-up. I also believe that people should be made aware that there is a texting system for the retrieval of the car. I wasn’t explained this and assumed that I just needed to show it to someone in order to get my car, which on a busy morning, might be hard to find someone. Other than that, we had a great time and hope to visit again in the future.

We had a nice stay with some things you wouldn’t expect from an upscale hotel. First there was the checkin line which took 20 minutes. Then we were double booked into someone else’s room. When we went back to the desk, they seemed put off and treated us like it was our fault. No apology. No drink voucher or anything. Checkout also had a line. Food was mediocre and overpriced. Waterpark was great. Hotel was beautiful. All the common areas are loud and crowded.

So many pools. The adult infinity pool was just wonderful overlooking the golf course and nature. The lazy river was so much fun as well as the various slides. I like the fact that there were activates you would do. Live band was good as well.

The property was absolutely beautiful and accommodated everyone. We chose to upgrade to a suite. We were excited about the balcony of the suite which had a rock garden, butterfly and hummingbird garden. Our excitement was short lived after observing the filthy patio/furniture. The furniture was covered in animal fur, spider webs and one of the chairs had a family of angry wasps residing along the underside. Housekeeping’s response was slow. We were unable to utilize the patio.. After being convinced to upgrade to a suite we were told our valet parking would be comped. That was a lie. We paid for the valet parking. We visited the adult pool and spa. While there we ordered adult beverages. We paid for our beverages before leaving the area. During our check out we were charged again for the alcoholic beverages. Overall we enjoyed our stay. If we ever return I will not charge any incidentals on my credit card-I will charge everything to the room to ensure I am not double charged.

The grounds are gorgeous and there are lots of activities to keep kids entertained but there are A LOT OF KIDS! If you don’t have small kids, this may be overwhelming! Our teens loved the water park area and the buffets and the ping pong, arcade, and pool tables but the venue definitely swings toward smaller children and a weekend was sufficient for our crew! The breakfast and dinner buffets are fantastic but the lunch fare was mediocre and not worth the cost. Better to just wait til dinner! Snack shop was pricey with water bottles coming in at $8 each! But there were lots of options to satisfy the whole family’s cravings. Hotel convinced me to pay for an upgrade but it didn’t seem worth it in retrospect so recommend foregoing! Proximity to the pool didn’t seem worth the upgrade cost. Overall, it’s a pretty hotel, on beautiful grounds, but the costs add up and up and it was an expensive weekend for a family of four.
