Good location, just 50m or so from the Quay front, great staff allround, but room was ok, but adequate only, for price charged. Dog friendly, which was critical for us, but £10 surcharge charged.
Lack of hotel parking wasn't too much of an issue as large multistorey within c.400m, but does add any £10 cost to the visit

I have stayed at the Antelope 3 times in total over the years.
The food was great and the staff friendly and helpful. Hotel is looking like it needs a bit of TLC in the rooms. facilities are dated, radiators rusty, paintwork and carpets need work.

It was a basic room (hotel is old) but clean and close to the ferry dock and train station, both were about a 15 minute walk. The staff was excellent, very friendly and helpful. We were there only long enough to eat and spend the night as we were making our way from Guernsey to London.

Excellent and clean hotel!

Great central location - beds on the hard side, floors and carpets need a deep clean.

Lovely hotel and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Food was very good and the bedroom we occupied was comfortable.
We had a dog with us and he enjoyed the special attention and treats also.
Would definitely stay again.

Very Convenient for the Quay. Nice staff. Parking a bit inconvenient

Right on High Street, the location is most central possible with access to town and ferry. Check in was smooth, room was clean, comfortable, even quiet.

No tv remote. Toilet did not flush properly

Efficient reception. Room was clean, tidy and quiet. Shame the mattress was very soft

It was Ok, the best part is the closeness to the cross channel ferry. Also, allow an extra £12.50 to park your car overnight in the Quays car park

Staff lovely, polite and helpful. Bar/restaurent nice, rooms and corridors not good, doors/bannister rails/skirtings very grubby. Radiators in rooms rusty, taps in bath and basin covered in limescaled. Had evening meal on 2nd night, not good, pie not enough meat, mash not real potatoes, carrots not edible. Nobody checked if meal was ok, we left and mention to Bar staff that it was not good, sorry was the response, mentioned it to the lad that had brought us the food originally, no response, mention next morning to a member of staff "sorry about that" was response. Not acceptable. On the 4th night toilet would not flush, cystern would not fill up, had to move rooms.... no compensation or even an offer of a free drink as a gesture of goodwill. Sorry for the.moans, but your board says if anything not right let us know whilst you are still here and we can correct it. We did, you didn't. 2nd stay in Green King hotel, will not be a 3rd. P.S the room we had to move to, sink did not empty.

We had a lovely holiday in Poole, The Antelope Hotel is well placed for the quay, not the best for the older generation as there was a lot of stairs and no lift, I think the hotel needs an up grade, the staff were all lovely and friendly, and you could not fault the food, lovely garden, lively area, and they do allow dogs.

The building is beautiful and interesting. Excellent breakfast and service.
The room was comfortable and quiet.

This is a historic building, and as such has quirks. Do not expect perfectly straight walls and floors. The bedrooms were clean and the beds comfortable. Check in arrangements worked well. The bathroom was dated, and the tiles were needing to be restored. The bath was chipped but serviceable. The water was hot and plentiful, and there was soap and shower gel in a dispenser. I booked late, and therefore the rate was very expensive. The hotel is very central, but has no car parking at the actual hotel. There’s a nearby multi storey, less than five minutes walk away, but if you have heavy cases, that might be difficult. The hotel is also a pub, and does food and drink. There are many restaurants no bars within easy walking distance if you want Chinese or Indian food etc.

Well located hotel. Reception staff helpful and friendly. Bed okay comfort but pillows unbelievably firm and no option to change. In the bathroom unable to use bath/shower wash due to container fixed to wall. Toilet seat also not suitable for toilet.

Absolutely fine, was welcomed by a thoroughly nice chap who checked us in etc.
Room was up in the rafters but was nice, comfortable bed and a magnificent bathtub.
Spent an hour in the bar and enjoyed that, drinks were reasonable price and it seemed to be quite full.
Had to leave at 06:00 to catch ferry so didn’t eat breakfast.
Only negative was the toilet seat was quite loose and I felt a little uneasy sitting on the pan, expecting it to slip off at any second. Absolute not a show-stopper but needs sorting as it could be dangerous (didn’t report it as reception was unmanned when we left at 06:00).

I didn’t like the room as I felt it was too small and the bed was hard and uncomfortable and the pillows were too high and lumpy the duvet was comfortable and comfy and cosy and the sheets were soft but the mattress was hard and the bathroom was small I felt unsafe getting out of the bath after my shower as there weren’t any handrails on the wall to hold onto overall it was really bad

Staff were great & hotel looks lovely for Christmas tho my room & the hotel do look a little tired in places. That said would definitely recommend

Very warm welcome from the staff on arrival and excellent breakfast and service. Two slight niggles — the room was far too hot and this is not good for the environment and the drains in sink/bath were very slow…
4.0
Nice staff but loads of stairs to room with no help with heavy bags and room very badly ventilated unless had window open which led to street noise. Expensive for what it is

No lift, room was cold and damp. Needs to have an update.

The rooms were amazing and the staff were really fantastic. There is a lovely bar that serves hot food there too.
To top it off you are a few minutes walk fro Poole Harbour.

Everyone is so helpful and friendly.

Stayed overnight with our dog before travelling to France. Excellent place to stay, good food and comfortable room. Only problem is weekends there is restricted parking on the road, but there are nearby car parks. Overall a great stay.

The hotel was pleasant enough and in a good position close to the waterfront, and also in walking distance of the speedway stadium, which was the reason for my trip.
The bed was comfortable, although all the pillows were very thick, too thick for me to sleep on so I would have preferred two thick and two thin. The water in the sink was warm although I failed to get the shower to be warm!
