Keys were left outside the office in a mailbox. Very quaint little motel. The room was small but clean. We walked to downtown (.6miles) and walked around and had dinner.
Nighttime was quiet.

Lot of options to enjoy the stay; ie: hammocks, fire pit, and seating outside. Definitely took advantage of the grill. Very spacious cottage for the stay. The only thing that was not liked or enjoyed were the amount of spider webs with spiders around on the porch. Overall, would definitely come back and stay again.

Easy check-in even though I arrived a little later in the evening. Room was very clean. Bed was comfy with lots of different pillow choices. Liked the fact that they have a mini fridge and microwave in the room. Although I didn't use it this time, they have a bike washing station which is great. Love the retro style chairs outside. Great little place, would recommend and will stay again!

Last year we stayed in one of the efficiencies which we found charming. All retro decor and pleasant. This year we stayed in a "deluxe Queen." Very shabby and tired decor, old Salvation Army rather than Retro Chic. Clean but very basic.

I stayed in the apartment and would stay here again if in the area. It was very clean and quiet. There were two TVs and they were easy to operate. There were two ac units that worked great and they were not too loud. It had full size kitchen appliances and the lighting in all the rooms was nice. The bed was comfortable and the pillows were decent although I brought my own pillow. I walked to downtown several times it is not far if you like to walk. There is a diner and also a barbecue place across the street. I took a couple photos, please ignore kitchen clutter I had already started unpacking when I took the photo.

Raining in the mountains which is great for taking fotos. Comfortable beds, frog, microwave and great BBQ next to motel. Good security. Friendly service, had Sally as hostess and she was great and friendly.

I am a fan of old school Motor Court Motels like this. The property owner has done a great job of bringing the amenities up to date while keeping the charm of yesteryear.

The Sunset Motel lived up to our expectations. The motel was very retro. The room was very clean. And the staff, especially Sally was very nice and accomadating. The outside area in the back with the hammock and tables, chairs and deck were also a nice touch. Will definitely stay here for our next visit to this area. And will tell friends and family about this great place to stay.

We had a great short stay at the sunset Motel. The recreational area in the back of the property was cool to explore. The a/c worked well and the need was comfortable. Everyone we talked to was very nice and polite. Would definitely come back!

Rooms are small. Itās a motel through and through and maybe we were expecting a slightly different experience from the way itās marketed.
Itās perfectly fine and reasonable. But itās a motel so donāt think otherwise.

No blackout curtain on one window, lights left on outside all night and made the room very bright and made it too bright for sleeping. Shower curtain had no liner and water ran onto floor and soaked my nightgown hanging on the back of the door.Check in was a disaster. Owner put me in the wrong room and I had to repack and move even tho he offered me money off on my room. The chair seat next to the bed had a sprung seat. Very uncomfortable.
There has been a change of ownership and not for the better. I will not stay there again.

We stayed in the cottage which was perfect. You step outside and the views are amazing. Well kept yard, plenty of birds, white squirrels, hammocks, fire pit and wood already chopped. We canāt wait to return!

It was a wonderful stay. It is very clean and the owner very friendly and gave us a lot of information on where to dine and the area. We highly recommend it. Looking forward to our next stay in May.

The owner of the property was befriended by my helper. An extra room key was issued without my permission, consent or knowledge. Later said helper turned violent and the sheriff was called. The owner told me directly that if anyone was going to leave it would be me?? Standing water in the shower, dog friendly. I vacated after two nights. One step up from a tent.

Great vintage motel. Sunset is all in with the ā50s style complete with a turntable and a few records available in the room. Comfortable, clean room and nice outdoor places. Right in town, the motel was very convenient. Canāt wait to visit again.

We stay in Brevard quite often & this was the first time at the Sunset Motel. I really loved the room decorations and the room was very clean. It was different than staying at a big chain hotel & we thought it was really a nice area.
I will say that when we had children, we would have loved to stay because there was a kitchenette in our room and I would have cooked breakfast & lunch for the kids there but would have had to buy a few things to make it work. It would be perfectly fine for one or two people though.
No cleaning service between multiple days stay though so if you needed more coffee for your room coffee maker, make sure to buy some locally! That really was the only thing that was below my expectations.
Overall & good & fun stay. Would do it again!
