Our stay was excellent. A 10/10. Only one problem....the mattress. Im used to sleeping on a memory foam mattress. And they have spring mattress. But it was a great weekend and a great place to stay. Will stay there again definitely.

Property was par for the course. There's some good improvements that would really change things, but the lack of staff on hand was a big one. Couldn't access anyone before check in hours, which is a a massive problem. Aside from the front desk guy NOBODY spoke English or even Spanish which is becoming a all too common and scary trend. Fridges didn't work well. I booked two rooms so I can say plural. As a side note, the guy at the front desk, when he was there was very nice and attentive.

The room smelled like an ashtray, had a rainbow of nail polish painted onto the bathroom counter, and there were people screaming in the parking lot. The breakfast was Sunny D and some packages processed junk.

we have stayed here a lot because we feel safe. One time my husband and I were sitting outside enjoying the breeze after dark. A street person was walking over to us. It was only a few minutes and management showed up and distracted her away from us and then shooed her away. I felt so much safer seeing how attentive their personnel was.

The property is getting worn down but that is understandable considering its location. The bed was super comfy!

The price was great but, after you check in you are pretty much on your own. They did not clean up the room during our entire stay. Had to go to the office and get extra clean towels and tissue. No satellite tv, but we managed with the basic cable they had.

I have stayed here several times and overall a decent place to stay, but this time I had a few concerns. Maybe put some slip guards on the bottom of the bathtub and also maybe better exterminators… killed a couple water roaches… but a very excellent location.

This property is across from the Seawall and you can walk to the beach, love being able to just walk there.

Employees were nice. Room was in great location right across from beach and walking distance to Pleasure Pier. The ac was cold. The beds were clean and comfortable. Ice machine was always working. The faucet seemed clogged because the water barely came out. We had to rinse toothbrushes and stuff in the tub. The TV lost signal and we couldn’t watch tv for 3 out of the 4 days there. The WiFi sucked and the door was SUPER hard to open (room111). They need to change the word “breakfast” to 2 in a pack mini muffins and 3 in a pack packaged donuts. Other than that, would probably stay there again!

I have never met a hotel staff so unresponsive and guarded

Exterior not so great… interior was gorgeous! Beds were the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in, including my bed at home! Room was nice and cold, had curtains that made the room dark for sleeping. Definitely recommend!

The room was moldy smelling, around the garbage can on the wall were huge stains and a very large bug was also on the wall. The door to the room from the outside would stick and you had to use brute force to open it. The only reason I stayed there (after checking for bedbugs, there were NONE in the room) was because I was exhausted from driving 18 hours. I have stayed at there before and it wasn’t as bad then.

The rooms were a bit small but clean for 1 night. The price wasn’t too steep either. The hotel was in the middle of everything with small local shops within walking distance

Super easy to find and a great location! Walk out your door and cross the street to the beach. It's a older hotel, it's been freshly painted, the office and grounds are tidy. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Office staff were friendly and helpful. Absolutely no complaints! Thank you😊

It was not good at all the man at night was terrible to me and my family I was there to have a thing for Mother’s Day the ladies loved it some stayed on the property but he don’t need to be in the front

The property didn’t look anything like the photos. I was honestly scared to stay here at first sight because it looks very different from photos (in a bad way) and it’s next to a biker bar. I paid in advance so decided to give it a shot. Check in and out process was smooth. The room was not clean at all. The bed was made, fresh towels, and new soap amenities were placed but the room had flies, dirty floors, broken walls, dirty vents. It was a very loud night as many people walk by at night and bikers gather at the bar next door. “Breakfast” is room temp oj accompanied by muffins and donuts. Wouldn’t recommend staying here, especially with small children.

I needed a cheaper place to stay and this was a good option.

I was skeptical because of the exterior of this motel, however I was very pleasantly surprised upon entering the room. It was very recently updated and was very clean and comfortable. New bedding, paint, cold A/C, and a wonderful view of the water from the room we were assigned. The room is small but was perfect in every way. The lady the front desk was polite and check in was smooth. I will definitely stay here again.

Great location. Across street from beach and ocean. Short walk to Pier. Immediate walking access to bars and restaurants.
Dated and worn - so you get what you pay for :(

The room smelled strongly of smoke, and although it’s nothing the hotel can control there were angry yelling people making the stay scary and uncomfortable. Also the breakfast is extremely limited, and the nighttime desk staff was cold and not willing to help with basic requests.

It’s across the street from the beach!

If you just need a place to sleep, this will do. The bathroom door didn’t shut well, we had a massive hair clump on the bathroom floor, there were mold stains all around the tub (not active mold it seems), and the beds were hard. Breakfast was prepackaged donuts and juice. It’s across the street from the beach, but there are many other hotels in the area that looked much better.

Wi-Fi didn’t work. Property a little shabby. Too much noise since it’s right on the Seawall. Convenient location to walk to restaurants and attractions.

So many posh people reviewing this place, this place was fine for the price! My friends and I stayed for one night before my cruise and it was fine!! Check in was quick, wifi was a bit slow but it was only for one night! Staff even let us stay an hour more free of charge while we waited for our ride, it was awesome. Yes, this place isn’t the Four Seasons, but you get what you pay for and it was honestly great!

The first room we were given smelled of heavily of cigarettes and it was a non-smoking room. then my wife pulled the covers back to check the sheets and there were cookie crumbs on the sheet. The worst part was the poopy diaper that was in the bathroom toilet. We looked for a different place but it was during Spring Break so nothing was available. We were given a different room that was a little cleaner but still reeked of cigarette smoke. We were there for four days abnd at the end of the stay, my CPAP stunk so badly I tried to wask it. after two washinhs it still stunk to weaqr it so I had to throw the hose and mask away and replace the filter. I would recommend this place only as a last resort and be prepared for your clothing to smell like cigarettes every day ypou stay there,

There are a lot of reviews of this place that don't do it justice. This Motel is an older style, but has been recently renovated. It's location is the absolute best. It's parking situation is the best.
The rooms are a little small, but the beds are comfortable and the linens were clean. I dealt with several employees during my stay and they were all nice or at the very least cordial. (The younger the nicer)
I will likely never stay anywhere else on Galveston Island. You'll never find a clean motel with this good of a location for anything less than double the price! Give it a shot!
