Very good location, lovely hostess and delicious breakfast. The only thing that needs to be improved is in the cold season (we were there in winter) the heating in the bathroom would be useful.

This is NOT a 4 star accommodation ! Rooms are old and need a huge update. Breakfast is poor, Sorry, we are no spoiled travellers, but this is not really reality compared to the reviews and foto’s as shown. I would barely give a 5/10 and that is because it is on walking distance to the centre and the car parking is closed by a gate.

We had a very comfortable stay at Baleia, from location to breakfast it all contributed to an overall excellent choice. The only downside for us traveling with expensive equipment was that the door lock to the room was very flimsy, but we had no issues.

Excellent location, extremely helpful host. Very good amenities. Very peaceful, excellent breakfast, Janka couldn’t do enough for us during our stay. Can definitely recommend and will certainly be back.

Very good location - a short walk from the town where there are multiple restaurants. Very helpful owners who gave good tips and a useful map. Very nice room set around an attractive courtyard with small pool (which we didn't use). Great breakfast.

Nice guest house in a beautiful city. No complaints, I would stay again in this clean and comfortable place. Bedtime story was a nice touch... Good value for money.

Our stay was for 2 nights. Our room was across the pool patio, through the reception and breakfast rooms. The room was very spacious, as was the bathroom. The bed was very comfortable. It was all lovely and clean. The hosts were very friendly and full of information - Chris and Jonka and the team. Location couldn't have been better. On site parking was secure and we were able to walk to the nearby restaurants and bars in the Hermanus town centre. Breakfast was lovely and plentiful - cooked to order and homemade preserves and honey too which was available to purchase at a low cost. mmmmmmm Pool towels were supplied and there was a fully stocked onsite bar with an honesty box. Will definitely stay longer next time.

Very disappointed. More of a basic BnB. The place needs updating and modernisation. The mismatch curtains let the sunlight in before 6am, rooms need air conditioning as ceiling fan is not sufficient for temperatures in mid to high 20s. There was no mention on Hotels.com website that WiFi is available for limited hours nor that there are cats roaming around freely (saw one comfortably sleeping between clean pile of towels for pool use). Other guests might not have a problem with this but due to allergies it was not pleasant for us. Too pricey for what it isSecure parking and good breakfast

Wonderful service from the owners, nice breakfast and quaint guest house. Good lication within walking distance to see the whales and restaurants. Only thing that could be improved is the taps in the shower were tricky to control water temp. Otherwise this place is reasonable and a delightful place to stay!

We had a lovely 1 night stop over at Baleia. The staff are exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The room is well laid out and very spacious. The bathroom is excellent and includes a bath and shower. The breakfast was also lovely and overall we thought it was good value. My only negative comment would be that the bed was very hard but other than that we had a lovely stay and would recommend it to others.
