This is a nice place! It's clean (saw the cleaning staff in action, super efficient), and the rooms are decorated. Service is good, and they're always trying to offer something interesting. The on-site spa was a great experience, too.

Upon arrival and checking into my room to discover I had been given a single room with the mattress on a slightly elevated platform. When I went down to reception and informed them I was given the wrong room I was informed my selected room was “on request” and they were full and that was the only room in offer for the 1st night. I produced my email confirmation stating I had booked the Rajas room. They apologised and said there must have been a glitch in the computer system. To compensate me they gave me a coupon for a massage which I accepted. Clearly I would have preferred they honoured the room which I had booked and paid for

We stayed at Le Sutra on our first night in India. We arrived way before check in time but the friendly staff let us freshen up in the spa and leave our luggage while we went to explore Mumbai.
Arindja (not sure on the spelling of her name but the main receptionist) was so accommodating, giving us some tips on getting around and where to buy traditional Indian garments for the wedding we were here for. She’s a gem!
We stayed in the Rajas room, it was quirky, clean, and the facilities were great, really enjoyed our stay. Would highly recommend this hotel.

I had a wonderful stay at Le Sutra (9 days/8 nights) and already look forward to my next visit. The entire staff is fantastic - from the doormen, to the front desk and housekeeping - I felt very taken care of during my entire stay. Mudassar was able to check me into a room sooner than expected, which allowed me to go on with my day. I am vegan and Sufail and the team at the Out of the Blue Cafe downstairs from the hotel were able to accommodate my requests, including multiple Masala chais with almond milk during breakfast. Housekeeping also brings you a surprise snack or treat every evening, which was a pleasure to receive at the end of the day. I was flying to Delhi for work one evening and the staff kindly let me keep my check-in size luggage with the hotel until I returned the following evening. This isn’t my first time in Mumbai, but as a solo female traveler, I felt very safe at the hotel, and my room was such a haven after long days of work and exploration. Le Sutra is about 20 minutes from the airport and is near various restaurants and shopping. I had no problem walking around or getting an auto as needed. I highly recommend Le Sutra and will gladly stay there again the next time I am in Mumbai.

A stay that was fraught with problems, an unresponsive staff, poor service and horrible food in the restaurant.
Ahotel that cannot provide basics.
Let me start by saying I hate to write negative reviews but occasionally they raw unavoidable.
I had booked 2 rooms sat the hotel and regretted this the moment I stepped into the hotel.
Day 1: They assigned us 2 rooms on the end floor. My room was a disaster and reeked of cigarette smoke as soon as I entered. This is a non-smoking floor! I asked for the room to be changed and then the real problems started.
There was no hot water in either room. We had to call and we're told they were working on the problem but we did not have hot water for showers. Unacceptable.
After a long day of travel we wanted to go down to the restaurant and get a cup of coffee. The restaurant was open, the inside portion, but the out side was being fu. The fumes were unbearable, noth in the cafe and in the hotel. They never mentioned this to us when we booked. Completely unacceptable.
Day 2: Hot water in room 1 fixed but still no not water in my room. I called again at 8AM, at 10 AM, at 12, at 3 PM, at 5 PM. NO HOT WATER WAS EVER AVAILABLE. At 6 PM they offered to change my room, yet again, but by this time it was too late.
The restaurant was completely closed for fumigation. The hotel lobby and surroundings were unbearable with chemical odors.
Day 3; Stil no hot water. Thank god I was leaving. The staff at breakfast was desultory. We left.

For a room costing $150, the service and condition of the room was approximately worth $30. I've already tweeted about my experience, but shower and toilet cover broken, sink faucets fixed so that searching for the right angle for hot water is a 20 minute game, front desk unapologetically making guests wait with AC off with outside temperature 31 C. All in all, India's first art hotel was a spectacle in disappointment. Even Shalimar hotel (3 star) did more for me than Le Sutra. When I gave feedback at the front desk, i got no contrition or hurry to make things right, instead i was charged Rs200 for a bag of lays. Great!

Bang for the Buck & Great location!!!
Charming compact hotel in the heart of Bandra. Walking distance to the seaside promenade Carter Rd. Plenty of eateries within walking distance. Right by Olive Bar & Kitchen, a lively night spot. Close to shopping district.

An oasis of calmness and cleanliness in a busy Mumbai suburb. The Le Sutra is located in Khar West area which is convenient for Mumbai International Airport but quite some distance from 'downtown' attractions, such as Gateway to India, Taj Intercontinental, Museum and other colonial buildings, markets. It's about an hour by Uber even taking the Link Bridge fast route, but that's around Rp500 plus Rp70 toll.
Good breakfast offer with omlette to order and a variety of the usual continental type food.
Next door are a couple of up-market coctail type places: Out of the Blue (same building) and Sanchos (Mexican), both with UK prices.
A local wander can take you into poor areas and the usual fruit and veg. markets.
We would book again but do consider how often you want to downtown.
Lovely Staff - very friendly and a lot of them!

Absolutely phenomenal experience! I have to start at the beginning- on arriving, the staff had a welcome drink ready for me before also helping me plan out my stay by recommending places to eat and spa services. The Raja floor I was on, had us in the Yagna room which was gorgeous and full of stories in the design as well as the furniture. They even took the time to tell me a little about the history of the theme. The restaurant in the hotel has a great menu. Room service was impeccable and so was dining at the restaurant itself. The staff were so friendly and quick to help us with personal details and keeping us happy. Everything we asked for was answered with a smile and immediate action.I can not recommend this boutique hotel enough. The location is prime! A quick walk to the sea front and also close to all the major restaurants and bars. If you’re looking for character, luxury and convenience all balled into one- Le Sutra is the place for you.

Each room had such a different artistic feel to it. We stayed in one room then had to move because it was not bright enough. Then we realized the next room we were given was much bigger and better in terms of art work. Brilliant art installations and tastefully done overall.

Amazing location and houses one of the best restaurants in Pali Hill area. Great thematic rooms based on characters from Ramayana. Room cleanliness could have been better but overall a great stay experience.

Great gem! The staff was incredibly friendly and always helpful. Rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were the most comfortable of any hotel that I've stayed at. Good selection at breakfast. Would definitely stay there again if I return to Mumbai.

Le Sutra was a great hotel. The staff was very attentive and the amenities were very nice. Great restaurants on the premises as well. The area, Bandra, is very lively and a better place to stay than South Mumbai in my opinion. The only downside of our stay were that there was a minor ant problem in our bathroom. Very good stay overall though.

Very nice, clean and unique rooms. The location is great and very close to Carter Road. We had an issue with the bathroom light fuse which the hotel staff fixed immediately upon request. Overall a place worth staying at in the heart of Bandra.

I cant praise this hotel enough. The room was wonderful, the staff were fantastic and the hotel is located in a really great part of town with easy access to great restaurants and to the sea. The hotel restaurant is really nice - outside and tastefully set out. The rooms are quirky and original. And Smith on the front desk is the standout. All the staff are really friendly and accommodating. I will definitely return here. A real find. I cam for business, but next time I will being my wife.

Staff was very courteous. Food at breakfast was nice. Interesting room decor. Good facilities in good bed, AC, bathroom, etcRoom was very small. Although this is a boutique hotel, this was rather small for a 5 day stay. Windows and blinds dont open. So no really outlet for air. Wifi was choppy. And my key stopped working, so i had to call the bellbloy etc to open the door.
