Friendly and helpful staff that helped me get around the city. Their breakfast was very fulfilling and clean. This property was affordable and close to everything I needed.

This was a pretty terrible hotel. When my wife and I first arrived we were greeted by the staff of Riad Tahra & Spa. They said that the room we booked at Jardin Chrifa was being worked on so we had to go with them to their hotel. I highly recommend this hotel (Riad Tahra). They got us in there, served us mint tea, knocked out the paperwork for staying at the hotel, gave us directions, and offered other services. The room at Riad Tahra was big and had a nice bath. Only drawback is the bed was quite hard. The next day we transferred to Jardin Chrifa. I'll start with the redeeming qualities. Friendly hotel staff, good free breakfast, nice bed, that's really it. The drawbacks: toilet was not bolted to the floor (nearly fell over several times), water was room temperature and never got hot, very noisy (like until 3 in the morning), there was no wifi, (it was present on the first floor only right next to the reception desk). The internet issue became a problem when we were attempting to find other things to do in the area outside of the old town. The hotel did not book us properly thinking that we were departing a day prior to our time arranged through expedia. This wasn't a problem really as they cleared it up pretty quick but would have been if they had been fully booked. Lastly, I booked a taxi through the hotel to take me to the airport on the day I was to depart. It was quite early, 5 am, and I get outside at 4:45, wait for 15 minutes, and still no taxi.

Easily accessible by taxi because right at the border of the medina. Friendly service and nice room - we enjoyed our stay there.

The owner picked us up from the main road but insisted we paid for the porter services. Wanted to charge MAD 150 for taxi services to train station, but eventually we managed to get it on our own for MAD 70 from a registered transport company. Room was dirty and smelled musky. Bathroom has no shower curtain and smelled bad as well. No receipt was issued after checked out inspite of asking for it. Staff Mohammad was not able to return our change after making payment, leaving us with no choice but to leave the change behind.

My small family enjoyed our stay at Riad chrifa. It was quiet anf close to many old medina attractions. Mohammed was really helpful and a nice guy.
Also, we needed to prepare food for our one-year son and the kitchen was available to us at any time.
I highly recommend staying at this Riad.

This riad was OK. The room was nice and clean but the garden was a little dirty. The staff didn't understand english. Nice location, 10 min walking distance to the blue main gate in Fez.

I am a solo female traveler and loved this Riad. The taxi ride from the train station to the hotel was fairly straight forward. The hotel is located just a few blocks from a main intersection and only a few more blocks from the Blue Gate into the Medina. A bit of noise from the school kids outside their school a block away could be heard from the room. The receptionists were nice and helped me set up a private Medina tour and let me lounge in the common room between check-out and my overnight bus.

Got to the hotel late (around 11pm) and was greeted by a friendly fellow who did not speak English very well. Was guided up a dark staircase to our room on the third floor. Room smelled like mold probably due to poor ventilation in the washroom. Washroom did not have a shower curtain, thus things got wet. Spoke to a lady the next morning regarding the smell of mold. She wasn't very friendly but managed to mask the smell by spraying some air freshener/perfume.
Would not recommend this riad to travellers.

great location however don't count on the staff for any meaningful help. asked the front desk man where a major landmark was (Batha Palace) and he had no idea.it turned out to be 3 blocks away??? the other lady that works the front desk promised twice to provide a railway timetable however it never showed up, eventually after asking a third time the other front desk person provided the schedule. better late than never!! i room a bit noisy in the morning but that was understandable as there was a school almost next door. the room is very basic, no tv however i would recommend this Riad as the location being very close to the medina is very good.,

This riad is close to everything you will need to visit in the medena, it is also close enough to the exit so you can visit the newer parts of fez.The staff were very nice, and trustworthy.

Convenient. No WiFi in upper rooms. No coffee maker as told before. Parking near the hotel made it very convenient

Room had heating which was great, though bathroom smelled a bit off. Shower did not have a curtain so things got wet.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very good service and very friendly staff. The room was lovely. A little cold in winter but there were lots of fluffy blankets. Tricky to to find if on your own but the hotel helpfully arranged a pick up from the airport which was great.

Great service from the moment I walked in. Perfectly located so that you are near the Medina, but don't get lost coming back. AMAZING staff.

When we arrived we were greated with cakes (which is always a good start) Our room was upgraded, though this may have been as it was out of season. The room was large and nicely decorated. The breakfasts were freshly cooked and excellent quality. Well recommended. The Riad booked us a guide for the day as we were only in Fes for two nights. I thought he was excellent and un biased towards the places he showed us. They even sorted out our train times for our next stopover.
