Extremely worn out building. Paint etc peeling from walls. Wood floors were very worn. Would not stay there again. On the bright side the staff was extremely helpful in meeting me at the Giza train station and transporting me to the hotel.

Over, a mixed bag. Mohamed really makes the hotel and he was hospitable, helpful, and very informative. We also had a long conversation about Egyptian politics. However, the hotel was hard to find and if Mohamed is not there, no one can speak English. The bathroom and room cleanliness left some to be desired.

Cairo is really safe now. This is my first time in Cairo. The crowd city and creasy drivers made me feel nervous at first, but the nice people made me feel very good in the following days. Although a little old, the hotel location is very good, and the staff are really nice. It is a good choice in Cairo.

Cairo Moon hotel is very good value for money . Mr Raoof (driver, guide) is bright and trustworthy. I feel safe with him during trips in Cairo . He picked me for free from airport at 03:00 AM. Staff (Mohamad, Ibrahim) are very friendly and helpful in advising me and in organizing day trips . Rooms are large and clean with AC, TV and satellite . WIFI is free and available in my room . You can take breakfast at any time you wake up. Tea or coffee are free. The hotel has top location. It is not far from Tahreer Square, Nile river , Egypt museum , Khan Alkhalily and Ramsses Rail station.

The hotel owner Mr. Mohamed makes sure that you are at home when staying in this hotel. Located in the heart of Cairo and in close proximity to eating joints. Fabulous breakfast, free interest, welcoming staff... What else could I have asked for. Had a v comforting stay with my wife and a small child.

Not the best hotel for comfort but everything is balanced when you get the personal touch and hospitality of Mohamed and Ibrahim. They will make it up to you with helpful and accomodating service. But the rooms are not upto standard of three stars. I would recommend anyone to this hotel also for its location.

My stay here was good, I felt as if it was home. The staff were friendly and helpful. Mohamed couldn't have been more helpful in arranging tours for me. He was a godsend.it would have been very difficult otherwise. I thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Staying in Cairo Moon Hotel offers you Cairo at its best. it's close to all must-see place. Great staff- all are very chatty, very friendly and helpful. Expect clean rooms, with clean sheets, en-suite bathrooms (mostly), air conditioning and TVs, what more could you want? if you are on a limited budget, free access to internet and unlimited tea all day were a nice benefit. Would definitely go again and recommend to friends.

Wanted to have the Hotel in the downtown, that is why I booked this hotel, the Rooms and service was not upto the price I paid for, a little AC in a big room, a very so so break fast only including boiled eggs, butter/Jam and bread, no Room fridge available and the Hotel on the eight floor. This was not what I was looking for.

I spent six days in Cairo to help celebrate the Egyptian liberation movement's success and to learn from it. It was nice to be in a small hotel where I could talk with the staff and meet other guests.Continental breakfast was just fair. Lots of rolls with tea or coffee but no juice and no napkin. Butter, jelly and cheese. I got tired of it.Computer was available and usually worked. TV during the day gave me a sense of soap operas, Egyptian style. Manager and staff were uniformly helpful.

Its a great experience in Egypt and had a good Hotel during our stay. Mr. Mohamed the Hotel manager is very helpfulland supportive. He arranged for us several trips in and out Cairo with a good Guide with reasonable rates. You can arrange your breakfaset as your convenient and get arranged your meals to your if requested. The staff and the manager is very helpfull and we didnt feel any discomfort during our stay for three nights with family. The Hotel is in 8th Floor of one building in Adely street. The Hotel is recently renovated with New air cindition units.

1. What I liked?
Mohammed's personal care and attention
Free WiFi connection
Quick action and response to my requests
The clean and airy room ( the one with the road side view )
Comfortable mattress and clean linen
The location of downtown
The safety and security
2. What can be done better?
Better pressure of water in the shower
TV with a slightly larger screen ( 21") to avoid straining the eyes
A note to the guests to have their towel and toileteries when confirming the reservation
Neat and clean lifts and internal walls. Hotel needs to sort this out with the landlord of the building.
Providing information on some key landmarks for easy location of hotel by the cabbies ( e.g. near Metro Cinema etc.).

The Cairo Moon hotel is a clean and newly renovated hotel in the center of downtown Cairo. I came with my fiance August 2010 and spent almost a week while searching for flats. The manager and the other employees are super nice and obliging, and there's a comfortable living room + terrace to hang out in. The manager Mohamed is very helpful and organized, and they can assist you in arranging day trips (pyramids etc.) within the country as well. Overall, clean bedding, AC, new bathrooms, GREAT management and good atmosphere in the small 8th floor hotel. Bring your own soap and towel, and you're good to go. I highly recommend the Cairo Moon hotel as your destination for travel on a budget. We will definitely recommend to visiting friends!!!! Shukran you guys!
