A very cozy place to stay especially if you’re interested in skiing because the hotel is very close to ski area.
The only thing we didn’t like was room temperature. It was quite cold.
Otherwise the hotel and staff were very nice. Food was delicious.

Very nice hotel, excellent location and good amenities.

Staff are helpful and cheerful.
Skiing and cable cars are just at the back of the hotel - 2 minutes walk.
The view from the balcony.

makes no sense for there to be no heating when outside night temp is below zero. reception said 'heating comes on tomorrow' I have never seen staff and guests wearing coats serving in the restaurant 3 days in a row and a real challenge getting a heater delivered to the room, only good thing was the supervisor in the restaurant who was outstanding. breakfast was awful; juice is sugared water and when i asked for scrambled eggs it led to a row in the kitchen we could all hear

The staff, the food, the room, and the value were all excellent. Probably the best of all our Georgia stays.

The best decision I ever made in my entire life was book this place for just one night, dont think we could have gone through an hour more! For all the reviews and ratings online, must say the service was at best horrendous! For a resort in such a tourism focused area, most of the staff just could not speak english and responses if not clear were just down right rude! I would say most of the staff were not trained and if any may have been going through their training as we speak. That aside really dont think many of them want to be in the hospitality industry as thats exactly how it came across! You would be doing yourself a favor by trying an alternate resort. By the way a saving gravce was the stweard who helped us with our luggage, just wish i had tsken down his name to mention here as his customer service was exemplary. Other than that good luck.

The hotel is in a great position at the bottom of the first lift. The rooms are clean and comfortable, if a little small and lacking in extras. The restaurant is very good and the service

The service was not up too the mark for the charges they charge for the hotel. We tried to get our room cleaned but no one was available. We tried calling the main reception couple of times during the day but no one attended and eventually we couldn't get the room clean and had to spend the night without any new sheets and towels

On our check-in day we got a room stink out of cigarettes , asked to replace it , they took 45 minutes to find other room (by saying hotel is fully booked) , got into the new room , open the water to wash my hands and in a second the room was flooded (plumbing error they say it's first time but you can see that the carpet color was such that flooded few time + the cabinet down part was rotten due to water)Only after that they gave us a "better" room with Balcony. Breakfast didn't included Espresso or omlet so every morning I had to pay for both (staying was BB).EXPIRIENCE WAS SO BED WE CHECKED OUT 2 DAYS EARLIER AND THE RECEPTION MANAGER DIDNT BOTHER TO AS US WHY

A great hotel for a ski break in Gudauri. The chair lift in a two minute walk from the chair lift and a ticket office nearby. The hotel includes a ski depot with rental facilities. The pool area is nice although hot tub small for the numbers who wish to use it after skiing. A very good breakfast selection was on offer including fresh crepes and waffles.
Room was comfortable and well appointed.

1st room was stink of cigarettes
2nd room had a plumbing issues.
We left 2days before check out time and they didn't bother to ask why - NOT RECOMMEND

I stayed for 7 nights over New Year's and overall, I enjoyed my stay. The hotel is conveniently located next to one of the ski area's lifts, so it was easy to go skiing everyday. It is also located very near to the supermarket, and some fantastic restaurants. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially the restaurant staff and the guy guarding the room with the ski lockers.
There were some things that were less than ideal. A lot of families with young children were at the hotel, which normally wouldn't be so bad, except that I could hear everything in the hallway from my room - including the running, screaming, and loud talking. The rooms definitely don't seem to be insulated against sound from the hallway. While the breakfast buffet was good, there seemed to be weird items some of the days, including pasta and french fries, which I suspect was catered more to the children. The pool and spa area was nice, except for an awkwardly small hot tub which had a very cramped maximum capacity of 4 people. Also, the check-in time was supposed to be at 2 pm, but I was unable to access my room until 2:45 pm on the day of check-in.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel, but it seems to be more suitable for families with children, and not solo travelers.

Good stay. Lots of activities to do in the property as a ski resort. Good location. Improvements could be housekeeping and general in-room comforts.

The room was small and bad view..no tissues in the room and lazy employees

I love the balcony and its morning view and the food is awesome too.

It is a ski resort, completely skiier-unfriendly. Ski lifts work until 16:00, but check out time is 12:00, and there is no room for skiiers to change the clothing after finishing skiing. So that the skiiers have to check out at noon, ski until 16:00, and then strugle where to change the cloth, and the hotel offers no help in this regard.

we were a group of 12, planned to stay for 5 nights there from 2 months before(paid total price)
Our experience was complected! we get there 1 p.m, they told us check in time is 2pm & they didn't even ask for pass ports & paper work, at 2 p.m 2 of 5 rooms were not ready, unless they told us all queen rooms have balcony but they gave 1 double bed room instead & no cooperation or sympathy at all. we had to stay 1 hour more at lobby & wait for reception to do all paper work(copying all pass ports & room cards).
we had very normal meals(in compare with other Tbilisi/Batui/Borjomi restaurants) at Marco polo hotel but in very higher price. the Shisha wa awfull & 4 times more expensive than other bars & lounges!
just one of the staff was friendly & cooperating at bowling bar& the rest of them had poor English communication & were kind of rude to all foreign guests. we planned to leave the hotel 1 day earlier & we could not get a penny as a refund of approximate $1000 remained of our balance & one more very funny & important note: this hotel charge each 1 more little bottle of water you ask for 4 Gel insted of 0.4 Gel .

The staff was excellent. They were friendly, helpful, and competent. The restaurant had amazing food. The hotel’s ski in-ski out was fantastic. I will stay here again.

Very good hotel with good facilities. Skiing and chair lift facilities are just beside the hotel. Location is very good.

The hotel was very nice and it has a direct access to the ski slopes which was amazing! It was strange that the entertainment in the hotel (Bowling, Billiard, Swimming pool and Jacuzi) only opens at 2h or 3h pm!! That was really a shame!
The Junior suite was very nice but the bed was not comfortable. We booked the room with a sofa bed, however we arrived and the sofa was not opened and prepared. The staff was ok but not very friendly and smiling. Overall a good experience.

Facilities such as indoor pool and spa were not functioning and we were driven to stay at this hotel to make use of these facilities in cold weather. Also, the scorer at bowling alley was not functioning; lane wood did not appear to be level. They tried to compensate for these shortcomings by good service and complimentary dinner.

Great hotel, with very helpful staff and just at the fist lift for skying. but limited activities out of the hotel for little children
breakfasts are great, lunch and dinners very tasty but sometimes a bit long to be served
not all rooms have a nice view

Despite it's location up in the mountains, Marco Polo is one of the best hotels we have stayed with our family. Considering it's location right on the skiing resort (you can actually put your skies on just outside of the door and slide down to the lifts from the hotel), it is perfectly located, the service is great, and the option of half board is the best for the skiing season!
