The staff here is outstanding. They are so welcoming. This was so refreshing after a day’s travel journey. The room is more than ample with great amenities. May I add the excellent breakfast fit for a queen. Overall, this has been a pleasant stay.

Aram Yami is not your typical hotel - it's a tiny but mighty property in a great neighborhood with exceptional staff who anticipate your every need (from arranging drivers to/from the airport to giving us great advice about the city to helping us use the city's famed elevator). We also can't say enough good things about the women who made our breakfast each morning. It was the best breakfast we had in Brazil in our 10 days here -- and well beyond! Our favorites included local tapioca delicacies, fresh and beautifully cut fruit, and lemon mousse. Even the omelette was prepared perfectly. The property itself is small and funky, designed with an artistic eye. Bravo to all!

I usually stay at five-star hotels but the exceptional reviews for Aram Yami got my attention. So glad I booked it. The best location in Salvador. A short walk to the (touristy) Pelhourino, but on a charming local street away from it. Very safe, lots of great restaurants to walk to at night. The top-floor Panoramic Suite was totally private and quiet. Wonderful staff, all fluent in English (no small thing). If you must have a marble bathroom and 600-thread-count sheets, it might be too B&B-ish for you, but I can’t imagine a more personal, more memorable place to stay in Salvador.

Really beautiful hotel, with a wonderful design and charme, lot of attention to the details. The rooms are gorgeous, great view, and really nice and helpful staff!

This amazing hotel is in a 17th century neighborhood, behind a narrow facade on a narrow street. It was a wonderful surprise to find spacious, modern rooms inside.
The staff were all wonderful. They gave us great tips about what to see, where to eat, and how to get around. They set us up on an excellent 3-hour walking tour that cost less than others we had seen.
One person even solved my ongoing problems with VIVO (Brazilian) cellphone service. He not only got it to work, he also found me a better plan for less money!
One gentleman, Claudio, told us his job was to make sure the guests enjoyed their stay. He clearly meant what he said. One night when we were too tired to go out, we ordered room service. The room service menu is a very limited list of heat and serve items. So Claudio brought us a menu from an excellent, nearby restaurant and arranged for the owner to deliver.
Our top floor room was huge with an airy, tropical decor. It had two balconies, offering views of both the bay and the city. The bay view does include some loading docks, but they looked magical at night when covered in lights.
There is a small, but lovely infinity pool. It was a beautiful place to enjoy the sunset and watch the lights twinkle on the docks.
They have a nice breakfast buffet. The cooks make all the little pastries and snacks, and they will cook eggs on request.
The only drawback to this hotel are the stairs. If you have any mobility problems, don't consider an upper floor room.

Staff were warm and friendly- very helpful and they could speak English which is a luxury in Brazil. The hotel pool is a welcome respite from the heat of the day and watching the sunset from the pool deck is an added bonus. The area around the hotel is charming, vibrant and colourful- very much the heart of the old residential town. It felt unthreatening and welcoming-

This must be the best hotel in Salvador. perfectly located in the old historic city in a beautiful renovated 250 year old building. Fantastic view from the top floor. Tue top floor suit has two balcony's which is very private. The staff is excellent and very helpful to all your needs and Sonya the chef gives you the very best breakfast which you can enjoy from the balcony with a view to the port / bay.

Aram Yami is a truly exceptional hotel, brilliantly and originally decorated and furnished. Everything, including the breakfast, was superb. Special thanks to the staff--Nayara, Claudio, Artem and Andressa--who went out of their way to make us feel welcome.

I stayed at the Aram Yami hotel for 5 days in February 2018 in the interior room which was beautifully decorated and very spacious and comfortable. The staff at the hotel are wonderful and friendly, all speaking excellent English. Breakfast was delicious - I still dream about those crepes! I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here when I’m next in Salvador.

Aram Yami is located in a restored colonial building. The view is fantastic, breakfast is good, and the staff is friendly. The neighborhood, Santo Antonio, is a quieter, safer, and better version of the over touristy Pelourinho. You will be at walk distance to several landmarks and surrounded by good restaurants.

This is a renovated typical house in pelorinho. Beautiful design very tasteful decoration. I was upgraded to a room with an infinity pool overlooking the bay of all saints ... Very personnalized service. A breakfast was prepared the day I left at 4:00 am ...I highly recommend it.

The location of the hotel is perfect! It is within walking distance of everything. I cant say enough about the service we received at this hotel. Enrique was awesome! Since we arrived at the hotel around sunset he set up fruit and drinks at the pool for us before taking care of the paperwork. He provided a map and gave us a thorough review of the city (where to go/places to see). Everyone on the staff was very helpful and attended to all of our needs, questions, etc. If you are traveling to Bahia this is the place to stay!

Aram Yami is a wonderful hotel. The hotel is thoughtfully designed and staff, specifically Bia, Matthew and Enrique are great with advice on restaurants and things to do in the city. The location is very central and convenient, in the beautiful Pelourinho area. Weather in Salvador was hot and coming back to our cool room and swimming in one of the beautiful pools was a perfect way to refresh and recharge. Also, as a gay couple we felt very welcome and comfortable. Would highly recommend Aram Yami to anyone lucky enough to stay here!

From start to finish a very pleasant stay. The hotel is in a great location a short walk from the old town part of Salvador, and features cracking views across the bay from the back of the building and the terrace (although be aware the docks do also feature quite predominantly!)
Our room was at the front but didnt suffer from any street noise, while the decor and quality of the furnishings etc was top notch. The style of the whole hotel was amazing, with unique decoration and attention to detail, and a great pool/sundeck (although small as there are only 5 rooms it was never crowded)
The staff were extremely helpful with advice and guidance, plus happy just to have a chat about anything of interest. Breakfast was varied and high quality, with pleasant service.
Overall would definitely stay at Aram Yami again

Everything about the hotel is amazing. It is in the historic part of the city. Especially during Carnival you get to enjoy the less commercialized carnival. The shops around the squares are authentic and cheap. The rooms are all of different themes. Our room had the pool outside of the bedroom which is amazing. The hotel has a view of the ocean. The staff are super friendly and towards the end of the stay are like part of your family, (yes that is you, Jackub, Erique and Daniel). The owner of the hotel drove us to our rented boat and bought as beer and sandwiches as a gift. Amazing!!!!!!!

I stayed at this hotel in early July… and I enjoyed my stay enough that I would highly recommend it. Salvador is a wonderful city … but this is Brazil and so it was nice to be able to return to this hotel as needed for some 5-star service. Pros: Beautiful hotel (try to get one of the rooms with an ocean view), friendly and attentive English-speaking staff with a “can do” attitude, 5-star service, small and exclusive (only a few rooms), quiet, fabulous cook-to-order breakfast with lots of choices, afternoon / evening snacks and drinks. Cons: Expensive, area is deserted at night… a problem if you want to catch a taxi to get to the nightlife or go out for dinner (for which you probably will need a taxi).
