Old property that needs renovation. A very negative issue that at night I received calls from ladies offering massages.

Overall very co-operative staff( especially Mr. Anu). Cool place. Good restaurants in the vicinity.

I've stayed at the Gulf Gate many times. I like it. There were a couple of problems this time (e.g. the safety box was not working), but the staff took care of them.

The staff are very friendly and nice. Bahrain is very safe and although the area is busy and noisy at night, I had a great sleep!

Not a family place at all. Our room had a lot from noise from the night clubs at the hotel. Also there was a roaring sound at about every 30 sec that came and went. So avoid rm 240 at all cost :) when confronted at the reception they seemed like they couldn’t care less. The general condition of the hotel is bad. Go somewhere else.

Only good thing about this hotel is its location and parking lot for vehicles.- Building is very old and lot of thing broken.- old and dirt looking towels.- stayed there for 3 days, house keeping didn't visited the room even for a single time. - bathroom design is terrible. Your knees touch the bath tube when you sit on the closet. - Definitely not a family hotel.- Noise coming from the clubs at ground floor of hotel until 2 am in the morning. - Mattress is as solid as a rock.

Hotel staff are very good and atentive, but hotel is looking tired and areas around the hotel look a bit of a mess with building materials and discarded waste. Bars and meal areas were nice though.

The hotel is in good location and staff are helpful and pleasant. The rooms are spacious yet they smell like an ash try. My main concern is the amount of noise I was exposed to during my two night stay. Arab (probably) Saudi male guests were shouting in the corridors and turning loud music in their rooms with open doors until 6am. As a result, I did not sleep all night and almost missed my flight due to exhaustion. I will not be inclined to return to this hotel unless I had no choice. I will not recommend this hotel to my friends who are smell and noise sensitive.

I tried to book 2 people threw Expedia but wouldn't let me then when I had a friend come up to Hotel they charged me 10 Bahrain money for a visitor.
Wanted to pay threw Expedia for Hotel stay but had to pay when going to hotel. My 2 night stay costs $185 and after International bank charges all most $300 a long way from $77 a night as advertised on Expedia when I booked..
First question Ye or no about recommending the hotel would be a Maybe. Could do better but low cost is there.

Got a great deal on the hotel so shouldn't be surprised that I wasn't particularly impressed by the experience. Despite others' comments, I was surprised by just how loud the ground floor night clubs were into the wee hours of the night, even on the second floor. I was also disappointed that we couldn't have drinks by the pool, which was shown in the hotel's photos. There is no poolside bar. Don't buy a tiara for the dancing girls at the night club, the hostess lied about the price.

There is a very loud club/disco attached to the hotel and we were not made aware that the music would vibrate through the room until 3 am on a work day. Even when we called the desk at midnight, wondering when it would end, we were lied to about the time it would end. We were able to get our second night canceled, but only after a lot of arguing with the manager., forget about being reimbursed for the awful night. To add insult to injury, the beds were hard as rocks.

I stayed on Thus, Fri, and Sat nights. On check in I informed thr hotel my reservation was incorrect and Hotels.com customer service said to correct it when I checked in. The correction was made. On check out I wad required to pay additional money for an extra person that was never supposed to be on the reservation and was never there. The food at the hotel was edible. Bands plated very loudly until 3:00 am. Going to and from my room I was propositioned in the hallway by hookers, who were their with the full knowledge of the hotel staff. On one occasion when I left my key in my room the hooker in the hall called housekeeping on her cell phone to come open the door, hoping to gain my favor. I will never stay there again.

Not a very attractive room, with cockroach in the bath room ,
Amenities were not enough.
It was 3 Star hotel or less.
The only plus point is the location.
