It is a really nice modern hotel (with a spa) in an excellent central location.
2.5
Excellent service from all of the people working there. The spa experience was nice, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. We would definitely return.

Location is good though hard to find at first. Parking is very difficult but the staff is helpful and they were really nice. The gym needs some work but meh, it does the job.

Great location. Basic service. Clean facility. Helpfull staff

Perfect accommodation in a very convenient location. Spacious and comfortable rooms and rich breakfast buffet. Because the location is located in the entertainment area, it is sometimes very noisy.

Very well situated with a friendly and eager to help staff. Breakfast offering is varied and tasteful. But the hidden gem is the spa with a variety of baths and massages available to a very affordable rate.

Very disappointed.. the room I was put in I think used to be a storage room !
Tiny windows looking onto what seemed a scrap heap .. tv Ariel ripped out back of tv and a very poor attempt at a repair .. socket hanging off the wall

During the winter the heater did not work, room wasn’t as showed on the internet, we were asked to pay for using sauna by one receptionist and another told us it should be free for guests staying at the hotel. We could not sleep all night because of AC was on during winter. Not coming back there.

The hotel was being refurbished during our stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, going all the way for us. Big thanks to them.

Enjoyed my stay and got good help from the Hotel!

Sofas and beds were too old. Springs were out of shape , fatigued, thus resulting sinking feeling when slept on. The bar next door played loud music daily till midnight. Could not sleep because of the noise.
Breakfast was excellent. Front desk was friendly and professional.

I loved the location, sauna/spa area and complimentary breakfast. The staff was very helpful!

The Alexandar Lux is a comfortable small hotel located in the middle of Podgorica. Staff is very helpful in suggesting places to visit and activities to do in and around the city. High marks go out to Marina at the front desk for getting us a driver to bring us to the beautiful Ostrog Monastery on a Sunday. Cost for the excursion was very reasonable. As for our room, it was super clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was much appreciated as the temperature outside was in the upper 30s during our entire stay in the city. The breakfast buffet was also excellent with all kinds of delicious food (many local favourites) to choose from. A taxi to or from the train station-bus station costs less than 2 Euros. A taxi to or from the Delta Mall, where you can see English movies, costs les than 3 Euros. We did not go to the indoor spa at the Alexandar Lux though tarifs were reasonable.

Only the reception desk staff would we consider excellent quality. They were all very friendly and helpful! However, this hotel is way over-priced for what it has to offer (charging 69 euros per night is too much for the experience we discovered). Our initial room's bathroom had not been cleaned properly (the toilet had splashes of excrement on the sides, hairs everywhere, and dirty sink). Reception immediately found us a better room, bathrooms were clean, but floors had hairs throughout.
One reason we selected this more expensive hotel was because they advertised a swimming pool and gym. But upon check-in we were told that we'd have to pay yet another 10 euros each just to use the pool (and for only two hours)!!! The gym was free, but in a musty basement, where none of the weight machines worked, and no use-able free weights. Basically just a dirty room to do push-ups in. Best work out in your room instead.
As for the free breakfast, we found the water dispenser to be chlorine water (as if the water jug had been filled from the tap). The eggs tasted rotten, and even looked purple one morning. But the most off-putting element of having breakfast there was this stern brunette kitchen woman who would literally stare at you the entire time you're filling your plate, with a look on her face as if you're stealing her own food, making you feel extremely uncomfortable to return for even another cup of coffee!
Overall, I could not recommend for the price they charge.

The hotel location was great (new town of Podgorica) and all main attractions are at a walkable distance.
On the neighborhood, there are various restaurants, bars, shops and markets nearby, but still you barely hear the music or anything inside the hotel (it is really very quiet inside).
The staff speaks very good English and are very friendly with guests. They were very attentive during our whole stay and even support us on booking a driver to move us around Montenegro to see attractions outside of Podgorica.
The facilities are good, comfortable and included everything that one will expect from such a quality hotel.
Breakfast was great! Lots of options to eat and drink, however I will not say it is vegan-friendly (which was not our case, but I guess it might be important for someone else).

We had an excellent stay at the Hotel not least as we were given a free upgrade to our room.
The location is excellent in the centre of town and therefore easy to walk to all amenities in the area. Its also very close to the National Football stadium only 5 minutes walk away. The only downside is the hotel lacks facilities in that it doesn't have a bar or restaurant and the reception area is small. However this did not in any way spoil our trip as there are numerous bars and restaurants in the immediate area outside the entrance to the hotel which is in a pedestrianised area. The staff told me there where plans to improve the facilities during the next year. Breakfast was reasonable in a pleasant, comfortable environment with a limited but acceptable offering. I think the hotel fits the criteria of a Boutique hotel as a more fitting description. We would stay again.

Great Hotel. Marina, Alexandra and Nicolina are not only beautiful but very friendly and willing to assist us in planning day trips to Kotor/Budva & Ostrog Monestary. Excellent location to all the local restaurants and pubs. The locals are very friendly!

Nothing special about this hotel. I wouldn’t stay there again. The location was ok. The condition of the room was ok. The shower was hard to work. The air circulation was bad. I felt like I was underground but really it wasn’t. The receptionist was kind.

When I was dropped by my taxi at the beginning of a pedestrian street with instruction that my hotel was 50 meters on the right I became skeptical. Then when I found that I'd be lugging my bags up to the first floor registration I wasn't thrilled. At the landing half way up an attractive young lady [who I later found out was the acting manager of the property learning the business while her owner mother was out of town] appeared and grabbed my heaviest bag and lugged it up to reception. Fortunately, my room was just down the hall from reception and was one of the nicest rooms I've had on my 199 day journey so far. Over the next 3 days I found all the staff, especially Marina, Sofia and the aforementioned Aleksandra, extremely friendly and helpful in finding things to do, places to shop and restaurants to eat. They more than made up for the short walk and slight climb on my arrival. Unfortunately, I've been unable to upload pictures of room and staff to supplement my review.

Very friendly staff, great hotel with good facilities. Room was lovely, everything very modern and comfortable. We were only in Podgorica for a night but we would stay here again.

Stayed overnight because of a flight at Podgorics airport. Was blown away. Very good deal for a 4 star hotel. The service was unbelievable, so helpful and friendly, the hotel was BEAUTIFUL, and the breakfast the best Ive ever seen in a hotel. We stayed here by chance but would definitely come back just for the hotel!

Amazing hotel, no faults except the noise at night, the best room facilities we stayed in Montenegro.

This is a very friendly, small, new hotel. It is located right in the pedestrian zone, close to shops, restaurants and bars. The staff is one of the friendliest and most helpful Ive ever encountered. HIGHLY recommend it.

Great staff, great room, great location. Friendly welcome, catered well for our baby and really wanted us to enjoy stay in Podgorica. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice and nice coffee. Room was good size and we had a balcony which was great in the early morning and later in the evening. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would highly recommend a visit.

Stayed two nights ten days apart. Received upgrade for the second night and required additional care and attention to attend to an injury to my partner causing immobility. Staff went beyond the call of duty which was very much appreciated.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Alexander Lux. Our apartment was huge! The living area had a comfortable couch and chair, desk(s) and furnished deck out the patio doors. Kitchen came in handy! Lots of storage throughout. Room dividers can provide privacy when needed - they thought of everything! The breakfast and room was great with a nice view of the street. The hotel is very central in Podgorica; close to shops and restaurants. We explored easily on foot in a couple of days and had fun finding all 7 Transformers. Marina on the front desk was very helpful; she booked our wine tour and taxi transfers and was always super friendly.
