Everyone at the hotel was very friendly, and did many extra things to help. My first day in Germany goes smoothly.👍😜

The lakeside location was great, even though we only had a ‘garden’ view, and the manager on duty when we arrived was very friendly and helpful, so we were able to check in early. Rooms were clean, comfortable and quiet, with a pleasant small balcony, and parking was easy.

This hotel should not have as high of a rating as it does. Our rooms (25 and 26) smelled like sulfur. We were also on the top floor so our ceiling jg was at a slant. Not a big deal at all. But I. The bathroom the shower had to be in the bathtub. Also not a big deal. But there was no curtain or door around the shower. You were just in the open in this massive bathroom when you were showering. If I had paid 80 euro for this hotel I would have been happy. However it was nowhere near worth the $125 we paid. Extremely overpriced for crummy accommodations.

Grundl Alm was a great choice for me. It is excellent value for someone travelling alone because I was able to book a single room. The room was comfortable and looked very clean. I really had nothing to complain about (although the bed-side lamp was rather dim for reading).

The room was lovely and the staff were extremely friendly! The food was amazing, especially the wiener schnitzel.

Stayed just one night in the hotel. The location and town are absolutely beautiful, you can't beat the surroundings. The hotel itself is a typical Bavarian mountain hotel, with the traditional decor. The rooms are nice and clean, basic and functional, and the beds are hard, as is standard in any German hotel room. In the room that I was originally given, the heat was not working properly; the staff were quick to come and see if they could help, and when it was clear the problem could not immediately be fixed, I was given a different room. The new room I was given was of a more expensive class, but there was never a mention of charging me more for the change. The staff was unfailingly polite and friendly. I would definitely recommend the Gundl Alm.

This hotel is a traditional German style hotel in the centre of the village, very pretty . Spotlessly clean very quiet delicious breakfasts , nice sauna and easy parking outside for the car. Would suggest that the hotel translate the hotel details brochure into English in the rooms as my school German struggled with translation. Had a really great stay and would come back and recommend to others. Thank you.

Hotel did all that was asked of it, clean, tidy and no problems. Excellent value for money.

We stayed four nights and loved every minute of our stay ,the food, staff and facilities were far superior to other three star hotels we have used and the only way they could have improved it was to have had tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The village is quite high in the mountains and very close to mountain walks and ski lifts. The Hotel offers free bus passes to other villages. The village is also a good central point for touring Munich, Garmisch and Salzburg.
