Impressed with room, nice size all facilities that we needed. However, we couldn't sleep even with ear plugs in due to noise upstairs. We could hear talking, chairs(?) dragging on the floor & stomping up & down till late. Not ideal when we had a long drive the next day. We will not be returning, sadly.

Good overnight stay for early Newhaven ferry. Very clean. Twin beds could do with replacing/mending. Nice to have bottled water provided. Would stay again.

It was in good spot and room was comfortable and airy
Owners vet friendly and food great

If there was a fire you would have to struggle with a bunch of keys to open the room door. There is loud traffic noise (no double glazing) from about 6a.m. The shower head desperately needs replacing and it drips all night. You have to pug the kettle in underneath the dressing table and boil it on the floor as the lead is too short.

had to leave early the next morning, so missed breakfast

Perfect stop for our Seven Sisters Walk. All of the staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. Great food and nice pub atmosphere. Room was fine for us. Nice to have food available on site.

As we travelled by car from Frankfurt via Calais/Dover - on our way to Brighton, we figured that an overnight stay in Seaford should give us a break away from any noise (excepting seagulls). We were right in choosing the 'Wellington' to do this. The Wellington is off the main road, but only about 100 yards from the beach. The bedroom was exceptionally clean, with a very comfortable bed. The staff are very friendly, the bar is small but clean. We would have preferred having the breakfast cost in the main bill (i.e. breakfast included), which would have avoided us paying extra charges twice on our credit card. However, this was no 'biggy' and quite frankly, we really enjoyed our stay. End conclusion: very enjoyable stay, highly recommend for a break after a long trip, on the way to a further destination. Best regards - Larisa & Paul Warren-Smith

Good location and easy to find. Worked well as out base for a visit to Glyndebourne opera.

Staff very friendly

The hotel was just about acceptable. The main problem issue was that the hotel was advertised with parking. There was no parking at the hotel and I had to park on streets some distance from the hotel. The hotel description was therefore grossly incorrect. The hotel staff were totally unhelpful and unconcerned about this. It put a grey cloud over the whole visit

Lovely old fashioned hotel - friendly owner and staff - felt at home and relaxed. Hotel and town were a totally pleasurable experience. Suitable for seekers of a sadly disappearing world

From the moment you arrive the staff are friendly and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for them. The room was clean and spacious, the breakfast was excellent and the cost was very reasonable.

Simon the Landlord and Michaela, who was behind the Bar when I arrived, were hospitable and very welcoming. The bed was super cosy and Seaford is a lovely place to visit - something for everyone.
The Welly does great food - I heard people talking about it when I was waiting for my train home!!
The pub has bingo and quiz nights.
I recommend The Wellington. Be aware it is room only which I didn't realise. It wasn't a problem for me as I'm not a fan of a big breakfast. I had booked The Wellington as a birthday treat for my partner but he wasn't able to travel from Norfolk. I've told Simon I'll be back!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my staff at the Wellington. The staff were so friendly and welcoming both during the day and in the evening in the pub.The breakfasts were excellent too. The room was good with all amenities and a sea view. The decor could do with a little freshening up but, overall, I would recommend the hotel for a short stay and a good base for exploring the area.

Beautiful room in lovely old hotel - it also happens to be our "local" when we are in Seaford. Warm and friendly.

Perfect overnight stay - lovely comfortable room and beds, good choice on menu for both dinner and breakfast.
The hotel location was convenient for seafront and town centre, and all staff welcoming and friendly.
Thoroughly recommend.

Conveniently located for both the town and seafront walks. Landlord made us feel very welcome.

Sadly this pub hotel was very disappointing and dreadful value. There was significant black mould in the shower and the mattress was the worst we’ve ever slept on - it should have been replaced years ago. Breakfast (extra cost) was also disappointing and over priced compared to better options elsewhere in Seaford.
4.0 / 10.0
Only negative was a mattress on the bed which lacked sufficient support on one edge in particular, and my partner, normally an excellent sleeper, didn’t find her sleep that good the night we stayed.
Shame that breakfast wasn’t automatically included in the price paid as that usually leads to better value overall and saw us instead wander out and purchase elsewhere instead. This was oh so easy given the extensive choice on offer here in the town.

Perfectly okay but disappointing for the price. Tea/coffee-making supplies very basic; a fridge was mentioned by Expedia so I'd hoped for fresh milk but there was no fridge and only longlife milk. The oldest and clunkiest TV/cable box combo I've seen for a while, though it did work once you got the hang of the remote controls. There was a sea view, but quite limited between the houses.
Lovely old building with period features, a convenient location for the station, town centre and seafront, comfy bed and very little traffic noise. Seaford seems to be a thriving town even off season. I didn't have any meals so can't comment on those.
