The location was perfect, it’s just 6 minutes walking to Little Venice, The Flour Windmills, The Old Port, the location is in Mykonos Town.

Great central location, no direct access to transportation - had to drag our large suitcases 1/2 mile. Clean, enough towels, small kitchenette. Safe, quiet enough- would stay again!

Anna (and Bella) were most kind assisting us and providing first rate service. The bed and pillows most comfortable. Bathroom/showers and the apartment in general; were spotless/clean. Every convenience is within a 10 minute walk (at most). For better eating choices ( and less $), We suggest to go the area near Open Amphitheater near Kalogera Street. This was the perfect location and unit size for our group of 4. We were 2 couples traveling together and there was more than enough space for all of us. There was many shops and restaurants just short walk away. Our host Anna was super attentive to our needs and answered all our questions. She also assisted us with taxi reservations and made our stay in Mykonos very pleasant.

First, Anna make sure our arrival and check-in was very smooth. The apartment was great, we enjoyed very much. Clean, spacious, excellents amenities. The kitchen has everything we need to cook our breakfast every day! Also the doble balcony one with the view of the street in the living room and the other in the rooftop, this one was our favorite spot to relax with a glass of wine after a day of sightseeing with sea,sunset and town views, we love it! It was centrally located, to all of the atractions. We love the neighborhood, very quiet specially at night. You will find restaurants along the street to eat. The apartment has separate air conditioning one in the living room and the other in the bedroom.The communication with Anna the property manager was excellent from the day we book the place she was in contact with me. She told me which of the many apartment they have will be the one I will staying, send me photos. All my questions were answered promptly. If I have to go back I will not hesitate to rent it again and I definitely recomend it! Thanks Anna!

Great. The room was very cute. Minimal design and big enough for two people. Hot water and quiet neighborhood. You will walk up stairs.

Excellent location, right in the center of Mykonos town. Plenty of shops, restaurants and markets nearby. We spent 2 nights at the apartment, excellent when you don’t have a lot of time, and want to Bests, close to everything.

Madres House is located exactly as it says in the heart ❤ of Mykonos whether you go down to the Old Port and wish to shop, visit the Windmills, popular restaurants, cool bars, local places to eat, watch movies - its super close. If you walk up you will find amazing views from known restaurants like 180, a mircro brewery named Minou. The owner Anna is ALWAYS attentive and availabe and has the best tips. As a solo traveler I had a blast and I would recommend it if you travel with friends or family too. They room (really like a studio apt) has all you need to make a meal if you feel like it and its super clean. I really can't finish describing what a great time I had in Mykonos because of their attentions, I will return for sure.

Location is fantastic, right in the heart of the old town and walking distance to all that it offers. Staff are lovely and were attentive when we needed them. It's expensive for what you get - but then again, Mykonos is expensive in general! The pictures were somewhat misleading when we were booking - we were shown to a room that could just fit the bed and had no kitchenette as advertised. Staff were great and relocated us to a different apartment which had much more space but unfortunately was still not what we had anticipated, a hotplate does not suffice as a kitchenette. Overall though, it's a great spot to be based for a stay in Mykonos once you're not intending to spend much time in the room itself.

It's comfortable to stay at Madera Houses. Its location is near the downtown; therefore it's convenient for us to go everywhere, not only going shopping but also taking buses to spots.

So friendly and fun were the owners. Really good value. Highly recommended! We will be back!

Was difficult carrying water back and forth up all the stairs, no washing machine or clothes line, no plug for the sink. One bed wasn’t made and wasn’t overally clean. We had great help carrying suitcases down the stairs to our room on arrival.

Close to all the fantastic things the island has to offer. Close to transportation, shopping, dinning, sites. Just gorgeous. Excellent hosting as well.

This place can be okay if you know what you're getting into ahead of time.They consider themselves a 2 star hotel. We stayed in a Grand Studio Apartment. There wasn't much of a view. It was very close to the action but a block away from the nearest shopping street. It didn't feel too noisy for us.The space is tight and dated. Our building looked like they took a house and divided into several rooms. They packed as many beds as possible in a room. There was very little living space besides being in your bed. There's a very narrow ladder leading to the second floor loft. There's 3-4.5 feet of ceiling room (serious) upstairs depending on where you are.This is the kind of space you sleep in but that's about it. There was a single room key to be shared among five people.The kitchen consists of a dual hot plate setup, small sink and a mini fridge. Not very practical to do much cooking.The place was relatively clean. We didn't see any mold discussed on other review sites. The linens were all clean.There is no reception. You have to drag your bags through the pedestrian only streets of Mykonos to get to your room (other hotels have a luggage delivery service). Thankfully we had cell service and used Google Maps to find it otherwise it would have been near impossible. When you arrive there is an inconspicuous sign with a phone number. Manos, our host, only spoke to us once over the phone. He speaks okay English and was able to get the cleaning staff to let us into a room. It's difficult to get in touch with him as he didn't respond to my calls or texts on the morning we left. I was unable to communicate with the staff as they didn't speak English. This place refuses to communicate through HomeAway.While the staff (60+) only spoke Greek they were very friendly and tried to help when they could.I would look at other options in town before booking this. However I would book this over staying at a place outside of town.

Madres Studio and Apartment was one of the worst accommodations we have ever stayed at. Do not book this place if you are looking for a comfortable, hotel like experience. This place was more like a student hostel, if not worse. It looks nothing like the pictures. The rooms were so furnished with cheap outdoor furniture, the restrooms were so small that an average height man would bump their head on the ceiling, the shower was dirty with mud, mildew, and hair, and the shower head was loose with no water pressure. The kitchen is more or a kitchenette, with an old mini fridge and a portable plug in stove. The apartment was dull and dreary. The hosts were just pathetic. There is no way to communicate via phone or emails. Upon finally searching for the correct number, a sleepy woman answered with hello. She was not even sure about our reservation. The taxi driver had no idea where Madres Apartment was. After GPSing the location we walked and walked up and down small uneven streets and a millions of stairs, dragging our suitcase in the heat. I thought our suitcase wheels would be destroyed! Once we finally found it, no one was there to receive us!! After calling them, they said we needed to wait outside the apartment for 40 min for someone to come. Finally, after about 50 min a neighbor came and opened the room for us. We booked a family room that slept 4 and had a gorgeous balcony with the view of the sea. Instead we got 2 rooms, wobbling beds, outdoor patio furniture inside the apartment, dirty restrooms and no sight of the water and horrible service. The only one thing that was positive about this apartment was it's location. It was in the middle of the town, close to a small beach, the windmills, the white church, the nightlife and a nearby taxi stand. Location was awesome- the hotel was horrible. If you are still considering this apartment, I highly recommend you call the hotel or try to email them to get someone's contact information and to arrange for someone to receive you at the port, apartment or some location so you are not wandering trying to find it instead of enjoying the town. This property is managed by Travelscape and they have an auto generated message when you email them saying they will not email you. There are other rentals for similar, if not better, prices. Do not waste your money here. One star for this one- and that's just for its location.
