Absolutely beautiful hotel, we were welcomed with a complimentary upgrade to a stunning room beyond words. We took dinner at the restaurant which was wonderful and breakfast in the morning was divine. Will definitely be visiting this collection again

The staff manning the reception desk at the hotel were and are exceptional. The best asset the hotel could ever have. They could not have been more helpful. The grounds are superb and another major asset.

The hotel is situated between a noisy and polluted main road and a small beach. The beach is on the ferry route making the water polluted. There are no beach umbrellas for shade and the garden chairs are uncomfortable. We ate there our first night and the waiter would not bring us the menus until we had ordered water. The meal was nice but not as good as we were expecting from a Michelin restaurant. The following night service was much better with a female front of house. We booked a comfort room with a deep soak bath as advertised on the hotels.com website. We had a room with a small shower room, no dressing table and no comfortable chairs. The hairdryer is on the wall in the shower room. The toilet is in a separate tiny room opening into the bedroom. There is a plank of wood on the wall acting as a desk. When we complained we were told this was a comfort room and we should have booked through the hotels website for the only comfort room with a bath. The manager then proceeded to tell us there had been a mistake and we were in an even better room than the one we had booked and admonished the receptionist in front of us. So far all very Fawlty Towers. We complained to hotels.com and the response hotels.com received from the hotel is that we should have complained to the hotel when we were there, and we were still there. This was the most expensive and the worst of the hotels we stayed in , including 2 other luxury hotels. It is not as advertised on the website.

The hotel has a unique location right on the water and has very spacious grounds. It was very close to the old town...walking distance to everything. Service was excellent and room was clean. We would return.
