The hotel is an oasis in Paharganj area, a suberb place. The breakfast includes a variety of options. We stayed there one night but could have stayed more. One complaint we do have: the travel assistent sold us a twoway trip to Jaipur with a promise of a five hours trip oneway. Well, even if we payed extra for an expressway, they gave a driver who drove 80 km/h in motorway. That meant 6 hours to Jaipur and 7 and half back. Please, choose your agents more carefully.
But if staying only in hotel, everything is more than good.

Having only planned to stay here for one night this hotel was fine. Outside the main road was noisy and not so pretty but I knew that before I booked. In fairness to the hotel, the room benefitted from double, double glazing (yes), and any noise outside was greatly reduced inside & significantly. Nice large room, all the usual add ones including AC & fan as it was so so hot, good shower and nice hotel staff. Rooftop food and drinks available too!
It is clear that the area comes to life at night and there was tons of shops, stalls, local food eateries and the odd bar! Train station & Metro probably 1000 metres away, to allow you to easily get from the airport to this area for 60 rupees fixed. For what I paid it was a good stay.

Very clean, excellent customer services. Front room was a bit noisy as it is facing the main road, hope to get a quieter room for my next stay.

Room was decent. And Service was good. Though a major street ran in front of hotel, room was quiet. Breakfast had few choices but it was actually tasty. Hotel is just a few minute taxi ride from New Delhi Railway station, probably biggest plus for hotel. One negative. Somebody rang my doorbell in the wee hours of the night.

The hotel was definitely not worth the price I paid, it probably rates more as a 1 or 2 star hotel at best. You wouldn’t wanna pay more than $5-10 a night for this hotel. The photos are highly deceptive and are misrepresentative of the actual condition.
I initially received a room that smelled like cigarettes and the AC wasn’t working so they promptly switched me to a different one. Unfortunately within an hour the AC stopped working and the room was filled with the smell of cigarettes again. They took some time to switch me to a different room in which the AC finally worked. The staff were very kind and accommodating at the time, however not very efficient as it took almost an hour to get a new room. In seeing the 3 different rooms however, I noticed all of them had very old amenities, some chipped/broken. There were stains on the floor and furniture. The linens smelled like bleach and a low quality detergent. Apart from the staff on my first day, the rest of the staff seemed rude and very inefficient. I asked for a bottle of water on my second day and they didn’t send it until I reminded them an hour later. On the final day they called and rudely asked me to checkout merely 5 min after the checkout time of 12PM. Then at checkout they charged me for the bottles of water (which I was entitled for free bottles per my Platinum/VIP access thru Expedia). I would not recommend it to anyone. You would much rather spend a bit more in a better hotel in a better area of the city.

Its well located place near New Delhi Railway station, to layover.

It was a clean property but can use some work with its washrooms too small. Very noisy can use some kind of sound proofing for rooms. Staff is very helpful and well spoken over all good experience.

Hotel was located on a busy street in Delhi. It wasn't quite as noisy as you might think. Room was quite outdated and repairs that done looked shoddy (bad tile grout in bathroom, incorrect size toilet seat for toilet, etc.). Breakfast was ok, reception was ok. Hotel charges for bottled water (the only time in a 3 week trip a hotel charged me). The water is undrinkable in Delhi, so you're kind of stuck unless you go buy your own.

Will definitely stay here again

I can’t say enough good about this property. Everything, from the room to the complementary breakfast was just perfect. The staff was also attentive and kind.
The only regret that I have that I didn’t Hotel City Star much sooner.

I arrived at the hotel around midnight and the area looked a little sketchy. The checked in process was ok, because i prepaid online. I was asked to fill out information in a book that seemed odd. I loved the hotel architecture and rooftop breakfast area. The staff was nice, especially the host during breakfast. The room was average.I was given a room that had a smoke smell and was told a non smoking room was not available. The bathroom could use an update and the hotel could use a refresher as well. Overall, the stay was good.

Would really recommend against staying here - the hotel is in quite an inconvenient part of Delhi and doesn't feel particularly safe at night.
The room was not particularly clean at all and there were marks and crumbs in the bedsheets.
Our safe did not work properly and we had to ask twice for it to be unlocked so we could put our valuables in it.
We thought we would give this hotel a chance, however, by visiting the rooftop bar to see if we could enjoy anything about its location. We started to wonder why it took so long for our drinks to arrive only to witness one of the staff coming in with a bag of drinks from a local shop.
Don't bother dialling for reception as they won't pick up. The staff are asleep on the sofa's in the lobby (which I witnessed several times as I had to leave the room to ask about the safe/aircon).
Don't bother booking.

Good central position near New Delhi train/metro station. Don’t get scammed - you can cross the train station bridge. Very nice staff ☺️

Very nice hotel near the New Delhi central station, staff is very helpful, expecially Nakim.
The neighbourhood is like all central Delhi, so be aware of scammers and people who want to take you to fake tourist offices.

Delhi is Delhi, busy, chaotic, but the Hotel is a safe haven and clean. Location is central, hotel-taxi is great, on walking distance from Old Delhi (2 kilometer), During day-time is the street rather safe, but be beware of traffic, better to hire a tuck-tuck or taxi.

When we arrived at the hotel we had made the booking in, we were told there were no rooms and sent us to another hotel in the back alley. It was distressing that we had no control over what to do as it was already late in the night and we had traveled all day. The second hotel that we were forced to stay in -- the rooms were not very clean and the sheets were *×'^...and when we made some comments about it, they said they they will clean the room again...within 2 mins they said the room was cleaned...when we entered the room, we were breathless because they had sprayed ao much heavy smelly room freshner that we had to stand outside the room for 20 mins with fan on dull blast to air out the room. Never had such a distressing experience before with reservations with hotels.com, i will be more cautious booking with this website the next time!

I ready complain to Expedia about the cleanliness. Because of I had to leave the hotel 2nd day even though I have two remaining. I talk to customer service and they will update the status with in couple of days. But yet to get any response.

It’s been great to be this hotel only needs to upgrade the breakfast

The location is easy to find as it faces Paharganj road. There are plenty of local and tourist restaurants within a few minutes walk. There is a restaurant on the rooftop of the hotel, and the complimentary breakfast for guests staying is a vegetarian buffet. The windows are double glazed so you won't be bothered by outside noise.

Room and whole hotel were extremely dirty. Staff could barely speak English.

Not bad

The area is very noisy for most of the day and night, not a desirable area to stay in. I can't say the hotel was true value for money in relation to travelling to India, however I thought the room was comfortable, the staff were friendly and I enjoyed the breakfast on offer. This wouldn't be for anyone looking for an element of luxury though.
