The staff is just top notch, and that really says alot in and of itself about this establishment! VERY clean place. Classy. I liked the high ceilings. It made the room feel huge. Bed was super comfy. Pillows could have been better, but we won't take away any stars for that because there were like 5 on the bed, plus extras in the closet, as well as extra blankets, which I really appreciated. At any other place I've stayed at, you get 2 or 3 flat pillows and definitely no extras! I loved the bathroom. Very quiet. Ice cold air. The girls came in and made my bed for me while I was out (extra star for that)! A little bit on the pricey side, but it was a convenient location for me, so I was willing to pay the extra. I liked that there is a covered garage. There were lots of seating areas outside. Decorated nicely. Waterfall and lights were a nice touch. Worth the $150-200/night price tag?? That's still up for debate, but I'd definitely stay again. A pool and/or spa on site might make it worth that price point for me. It's cool that you can use the YMCA's amenities, but they close super earlier, leaving limited time for use. Keep doing what you're doing, Hotel Anthracite!

This is an amazing hotel in the heart of a sleepy city, with great amenities, very accommodating staff, and exceptionally clean rooms. I also enjoyed and appreciated the warm, welcoming lobby. Morning breakfast staff was helpful, positive, and made me feel at home. I will definitely recommend this hotel!

Room was fine but we walked in and immediately smelled cigarette smoke despite it being a smoke-free hotel. Hotel bar was not open on a Saturday night, which was unfortunate since the entire bridal party was planning on going there post wedding reception.

Big, clean, quiet, comfortable room. Fast and friendly reception. Only issue is they continue to automatically add optional charges, such as local historic fees. It should be enough that I gave them the privilege of hosting me. I have never understood special taxes snd fees on tourists and travelers, as if we don't have a choice where to visit and stay.

Nice little hotel in a small town. Surprisingly nice for the area. Very clean and upscale. Nice and quiet as well. Staff was very courteous. Second year we stayed here. Free breakfast is average with other hotel breakfasts.

Service was outstanding - friendly, warm, accommodating. Hotel was clean and neat. Food was excellent at the restaurant (Kol). Only negative for me is that it's easy to hear your neighbors through the walls.

Room is nice, clean and well kept. Checkin was a little slow - I guess the reservation software was updating. Good breakfast buffet with eggs and a meat. Small but ok gym. Parking was easy. Area around the hotel pretty much closed down by 9 pm on a weekday.

Nice hotel. No microwave in the room. You could hear people talking in the next room and hall. Tv needs an instruction book. Overall a nice location and nice hotel for Carbondale

Great, unexpected hotel in Carbondale, PA. The service and staff were exceptional. Great bar, restaurant, and complimentary breakfast. Free parking in the garage and clean rooms.

Weenjoyed our brief stay there. Liked the comp breakfas and the party venue.

Employee at the front desk when we checked in was absolutely great! The hotel itself was nice and clean, as was the room. (The shower could have been a tad cleaner) The beds were comfy and our room had a nice view onto the little courtyard. Cons are that the doors were not very well fit to the doorways. The bathroom door was extremely loud because it stuck every time it opened or closed. There is no cable TV. It wasn’t a big deal for me because I have all the smart tv subscriptions, but it would have been if I didn’t. Despite breakfast being advertised on the website and on Expedia, there was no breakfast on a Saturday morning, that was very disappointing because it was one of the main reasons I chose the hotel.

Expedia does not state that after paying the hotel in full! I will arrive and be asked to pullout the card i used to pay for the room to be given no reasons why the hotel will deposit $100.00? For what they never said. Spoke to the manager the next day in petson and I let him know about that charge on my debit card. The room was clean the bed was very comfortable but the towels really need to be thrown in the trash! Discusting how does hotel management allow towels that look like that to continue to be used by customers?!. The television in the room is not a tv. Its a tourist channel that informs you of what is in the area. There weren't any usb portals to connect a cellphone charger?! The shower leaks onto the floor causing a safety issue. Yes! There's free breakfast included. Its basic sausage link's, rubbery egg omelets and horrible bagels. Coffee was meh. I chose this hotel for convenience but that form they had me sign for the $100.00 deposit also you will be automatically donating $1.00 to settlers care abd $2.00 to Delaware Highlands Conservansy!! Why?!? They dont state that either.

The room was clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and helpful. My one complaint is that the walls were a little thin. I could definitely here if my neighbor was home and if he was watching tv.

Pillows were overly large and hard - breakfast adequate but nothing special.
