Nice and unique location next to the ocean. A bit secluded, but ok for a few days. Big, comfortable room, but lighting should be improved.

Amazing stay, very helpful hosts, hotel based on very fancy villa, beach is 10 meters , 10 min by car to the enter, location is perfect to go to other parts of island. Hosts Luisa and Jose help us a lot. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful surprise finding Pocinhobay! The second you step into the property you can see that the owners run it with passion and love. From the amazing breakfast, to the wonderful stories and photos from the owner’s trips around the world, the tasteful decoration and very spacious rooms, we enjoyed every second we stayed here. Obrigado!

Simply amazing! Classy, well-healed owners with a zest for the world, & it's tastefully reflected in the decor & atmosphere alongside the more traditional decor & customs you'd expect.

There is poor signs to the location.
Towels were crunchy not soft and the dovet was thin not fluffy & light.

Very unique with excellent staff with nice breakfast. The only draw back is everything else is a short drive away. We used taxi to get around for 3 days but recommend renting a car.

We really enjoyed our stay at this unique bed and breakfast. There are beautiful gardens and winery where you can walk around. Very close to the natural pools, and there is a great view. Couple that owns it are very friendly and sweet!

Charming accommodations with lots of details. Luisa makes sure every guest is well taken care of. You feel at home or visiting a close relative. Very enjoyable place, lots of green, in front of the ocean with amazing views of Faial. A great stay!

Looking for a bit of peace, rest and relaxation? Then this place has it in bucket loads, I have just returned from 16 days in the hotel and would return in a heartbeat ! The owners are attentive but not in your face or watching you all the time, if you ask them for anything or want advice they do their utmost to oblige, they make calls on your behalf to book the various activities on the island with no charge. The accommodation is made up of 6 individual converted little barns within one large complex of stone buildings. Our rooms consisted of a large lounge ensuite/bathroom and bedroom areas, with a fridge and safe facility. There is a beautiful swimming pool always clean and well maintained, the sea is literally across a small road in front of the hotel, but of course this a volcanic island so no real sandy beaches, but the islanders have got around this and the simply fit steps into the rocks and flat concrete areas to sunbath on! I read many of the reviews posted on trip advisor before booking and I have to say I found no evidence to substantiate any of the very few negatives made, the only point I agreed with is this is not strictly a hotel, however this can only be based on the fact the owners and staff are not always there and there is no reception area, well in my opinion the whole nature of this accommodation would change for the worse if there was a reception, and the owners give you their mobile number so that you are able to contact them should you need to

This is a very special place for a holiday. The setting is unique by lava natural pools and beautiful views of Horta. The decor is exquisite with treasures from the owners world travels. The location is peaceful and tranquil, which means you will require a rental car to get around. We will return to this paradise on Pico!
