Drinks that normally cost you $2 at a corner store they charge 3$ prices are ridiculously high and they don’t honor the Expedia price The lady that works during the night is sweet and very helpful. The guy is rude. I will not be going back. And neither will family members that would go there when it was DAYS INN

The property is new and beautiful. Rooms are spacious and clean. However, when I explained I needed a bottom room for my puppy, the woman at the front desk (from South Africa) told to pay a pet fee and it could only be cash. I explained I only had $15. She said great it’s $10. Motel 6 DOES NOT charge pet fees and I was advised (and given the number) to call corporate from Motel6 reservations. She scammed me and that’s the reason for the low score.

La Quinta cancelled my reservation, I had no other option than Studio 6 since is the only other hotel that is pet friendly in the area. I didn't have high expectation due to brand name, however I was pleasantly surprised, the rooms are well furnished, management is very friendly, they could improve the cleanliness of the floors, everything else was really good.

We arrived an hour after check in, the room we were given was dirty. Beds were unmade and there was leftover trash from Whataburger on the desk. I called to the front desk from my cellphone and the clerk was shocked. I felt like she didn’t believe me because she said he had to check it. It took about 20 minutes to be reassigned to a room. She mentioned that it was someone else’s reservation whom hadn’t checked in, I felt bad about taking someone else’s but she assured me that it was now our room. The bed shams, towels and shower curtain were all stained. The hairdryer clearly was disgusting with brown residue all over it. I will not be staying here again.

The rug needed replacing in the room. There was a red stain on the bathroom floor. Right before we left the commode didn't flush. The shower needs a bar to hold onto to get in and out of the bath tub.The beds were comfortable and the manager was friendly. We liked the double shades on the window. It made the room dark enough to sleep well

Very nice, wonderful trip

No maid/room service
Weak WiFi
When talking to the manager about the dissatisfaction his response “I saw how much you paid, you should be grateful”.
I get the covid no food thing BUT it should be crystal clear that the breakfast is NOT happening right now at this establishment when booking. Other hotel we booked in Gonzales is up and running fully-btw stay at the Best Western when in Gonzales! Much better service, cleanliness and amenities. Booking 3 rooms for 3 more weeks there!
All said, this place sucked and there was no opportunity offered to rectify it. Much better places to stay

Hotel staff was nice and accommodating. Room was clean and comfortable. Only comment would be that a larger TV would be nice and the shower curtain was a stained and look at replacing.

This place was really enjoyable compared to the previous hotel we stayed at. From check- in, which front desk clerk was so nice and helpful. The manager was on site as well and he was very friendly and attentive towards me. He was open for recommendations on things to do in Gonzalez. While the facility was very well kept, the room was very decent. It smelled clean. The restroom was well maintained. I had no problems. At check in I was advised about the pet fee which was $20.00 a day. I have no complaints.

We checked in on Friday night for a work event in Gonzales over the weekend. Saturday night after work (approx midnight) we go back to the room and the key was not working. After calling 830-519-4353 over 10 times with no answer we go to the front desk and it’s completely dark, locked with a sign to call a different number so we did (see pic) and AGAIN NO ANSWER. After honking and knocking very hard on the lobby doors we called Hotels.com customer service, they as well tried to reach the property and NOTHING.
So, we had to go to Microtel inn next door, they tried to get a hold of them for us also, and still nothing. So after all this we were left with a paid room that we couldn’t get in, so had to stay at another property and spend additional money.
Hotels.com offered a $35 credit but no refund as they said I had to get with Days inn for the refund. So far I’ve left 3 messages to the GM of Days Inn, and still have no return call and my credit card is still charged for 2 nights totaling $172.
Overall a horrible experience, And very upset that Hotels.com can not assist with getting my money back and only offering a $35 credit.

Front desk clerk was amazing helped out with issues

Left room and returned shortly before checkout at 11 to retrieve items left in the refrigerator and the room had been cleaned and items from the refrigerator were thrown away. Also, reserved a room with a king size bed and got a room with two queens ( no big deal it worked but wonder if the price on the two were the same)1

Manny the manager made the property 5-star! I go to Gonzales every year and will definitely plan to stay at the Days Inn again.
4.3
The breakfast was pretty good actually. Easy check-in, friendly service, and quiet property.
4.3
Had trouble getting the key card to work, TV would not function, front curtain was missing a piece so would not shut all the way, no bathroom trash can, breakfast buffet had no yogurt, bagels, or fresh fruit. Bed was comfortable though and front desk attendant was helpful with restaurant recommendations.
4.3
There was no table or reading lamp provided by the bed, only the ceiling light.
4.3
Was a nice place to stay for the money.

Shower water did not get warm/hot....had to shower in cold water

Enjoyed my stay, staff was nice, and the room was clean

When we arrived at the hotel, the lobby was empty, no one was answering the hotel phone. After about 5-10 minutes, I finally walked around outside to a door that said PRIVATE, knocked, and the hotel clerk came out of the laundry room! Said she was alone and had to do laundry. Got to our room to discover the air wasn't getting cool, AFTER we've unpacked and showered to settle in. We called and were given another room. Next, discovered that the ice machine didn't work!
4.3
This is perhaps the cleanest hotel I’ve ever stayed in, and it was such a cheap price I couldn’t believe it. Everything was beautiful and clean I would absolutely stay again on my next trip to Shiner Texas!
