Great place to stay with an amazing view of the lake and trees. The front desk agent Riley was incredibly welcoming and full of knowledge about areas to visit and restaurants in the area. I can not wait to come back again with my kids next time during fall so they can enjoy all outdoor activities.

It is a very sweet spot with beautiful views and access to the lake. They provide all of the amenities a family might want in a resort. We really enjoyed our stay. The beds are a little hard, and the bathrooms are small, but it was perfect for what we wanted.

We had a very nice stay. The beds were comfortable, the sheets and towels clean, plenty of space for two. Two suggestions: the bathroom needs an upgrade and the rod to hang clothes could be more accessible.

We had a lovely experience. Except for the small shower everything was just right for a Maine getaway. The lake was beautiful. There were many outdoor activities on the premises and the porch overlooking the lake was pure joy. Thank you Highland!

Toilet was malfunctioning and it took to long to get fixed. Made me late to where I was going

Large brown stain on the carpet beside the bed. Stayed in hotels all over the world and never had a 10:00 AM checkout. Toilet would not flush so I had to fix it myself.

They have everything you need, canoes, kayaks, paddle boards, plenty of things for kids to play with, they even have a hidden gem behind a fenced in area, but you'll have to stop by to find out. The things I found bad were the bed was too hard and the shower was so small,if you dropped the soap, you need to get out to pick it up, 3x3 shower, tiles in front of shower were loose because of water getting under them,tv was in a cabinet, too low laying in bed, should have been mounted to the wall above !!!

Riley was very nice and helpful. The floor in our room was very dirty. All you need is a swifter. Location was great.

Lovely hotel with so much available to do on site. Staff were friendly, all of rooms were clean and well maintained, highly recommend!

Online it showed that there was a Cafe on site. It was closed down so we had to commute to dine. The grounds were in need of spucing up. The shower stall wasn't ideal. Not enough kitchen supplies such as pans and knives. The area was fairly quiet. The staff was friendly. The smoking area just outside of our room left something to be desired.

Rooms have been updated since we were here last. We were busy with a family event so didn't get to do all the fun stuff available. Maybe next time.

Amazing! Shower too small but overall a great experience!

Was overpriced
Sheets were askew on the bed, shower was not draining properly, no light by the left side of bed,
It was quiet and comfortable though.
For the price, expected tea bags, not only coffee. We could NOT get the heat on and were quite cold all night at 50 degrees.,

Quaint, refurbished. Memories of the 50's/60's. Nice little deck with view of the lake that would be very walkable if it weren't winter. Bed very comfortable. Coffemaker that is NOT nespresso thankfully. Would definitely stay here again no matter the season.

This was an amazing jewel, very easy access. The people were wonderful, extremely clean. I would highly recommend.

Very nice overall. However, we were there two nights, did not take a shower because no safety grab bars. We are older folk and need the caution.

Loved the manicured lawn, easy walk to the lake, swings, peaceful sayings and offerings, and docks.
Can improve: My roommates (2) both had uncomfortable sleeping on the beds. First night, I was on the cot and was fine. Second night, I traded with my son who said his back was in pain from the bed (we acknowledge that he has a memory foam mattress at home) and he slept on the cot (found it to be a little bit better). My friend (does not have a memory foam) said her bed was uncomfortable as it had a sag in the middle. (Rm. 112)

I love this beautiful place. I truly didnt want to leave. I could have stayed by the lakeside for hours. The owners have gone above and beyond to make their accommodations a true joy for all who come through their doors. Thank you!

Great place to stay. Beautiful grounds down to the lake, and comfortable cozy rooms. Showers are a little tight, but clean and good water pressure. Would definitely stay at Highland Lake Resort again when we are in the area. Bridgeton is a cute little town.

From their warm welcome phone call the day before to the kindness shown at time of departure, the Highland Lake Resort team knows hospitality. Surrounded by natural beauty and serenity, the resort offered more than I could ask for — lake, unlimited use of boats, labyrinth, games, fitness center, sauna, meditation room. A return visit is already being planned.

Bathrooms had mold on grout. Ants and Caterpillars crawled out from bedding. Started to rain so everyone came in from outside and room next to ours was a party room from 1030 to 3:15am….no staff on site after 8pm to notify or make room changes.
