I love the Ecola creek lodge. The rooms are big and the location is great. It feels a little run down, the furniture in the room was in bad condition.

Great location walking distance to town. Very clean overall. Kitchen is updated. Property well kept. Living room furniture could benefit from updating. Loved the overall vibe.

Property needs an update, carpet was stained, patio door was hard to close and no air conditioning in the room, provided a fan that was loud but worked. Expensive for what was offered

Everything was lovely.

The facility was charming and the location great for our stay however the mattress was horrible. After getting a serious backache I ended up sleeping on the floor on a mat borrowed from a local friend. Also the hairdryer cord was 1.5' long not allowing to use it properly.

Cozy, affordable little resort just a few minutes' walk from the beach and the town. The layout, rooms spread out in different buildings around a courtyard, offered a nice degree of privacy and quiet. It's not right on the beach, but some rooms offer a partial ocean view. Would stay here again!

Very helpful front desk staff and cookies in the front office. In room coffee and hot chocolate

Perfectly placed to evolve Canon Beach. The large room we had was perfect for our family of 4. We stayed two nights and sleep perfectly in the comfy beds in this lovely quiet hotel.

Didn’t like the toilet and the balcony sliding glass door on room number 20

Loved the area and it was great to have a bedroom separate from living room and kitchen. Loved having a kitchen with nice appliances. Only thing on my wish list was a serving bowl and bigger mugs for coffee, otherwise we had everything we needed in the kitchen. The carpet was well worn and smelled faintly of dog pee but we made do and with the fan blowing we didn’t smell it any longer. Overall we had a great stay and I can’t wait to come again.

This is a pretty property with lovely grounds and a large Koi pond right in the middle. Our room Was laid out in a way that made it feel like two bedrooms. Beds were very comfortable, and there was plenty of Space. It’s a short walk to a trail to the beach. This location is quite a bit down the beach from the Haystack rocks, but it’s in an excellent location for small children in that it is located where the Ecola River meets the Pacific. This gives you the option to play in the ocean section of the beach or the river section of the beach and the water on the riverfront is very gentle. The hotel Wi-Fi did filter websites, more heavily than any other property I’ve ever stayed at. We arrived late and left early, so I did not speak to the office about it, but we were unable to access some pretty innocuous websites. For us, this was not a huge inconvenience as we were hardly in the room, but is worth noting.

Very cozy and in a great location. Quiet room with enough space to spread out a bit. Staff is friendly and helpful.

There was a huge stain in the carpet in our room, the upholster /chair was terribly stained and was so horrible looking that I never sat on it.
The room had this FUNKY, very off-putting stench, it was nauseating..!
Good thing, I carry FEBREEZE with me, so I sprayed the room a couple times, hoping to get the STANKY smell off but to no avail.!
The room has no AC, but the Bionnaire Fan works perfectly, also the weather was not too hot at the time we visited.
Other than these very bad experiences with the room, we had a good time. Bring your own water bottles, snacks, and a light jacket, it’s kinda cold at the beach. Cannon Beach is very beautiful.

I liked the lodge feel. Large, clean rooms. And the cookies!

The hotel has more of a BnB than traditional hotel feel. Rooms were big and grounds were well-maintained. Great location on the north side of CB.
Only complaint is the bathroom was a bit small and cramped, without countertop space. But overall, happy with my stay and would stay here again.

Historic place. Modernized but so long ago It’s a bit dated, except for new TV. Roomy. Thin walls.

Pretty gardens . Pretty exterior . Relatively short walk from beach . Quiet .

Wonderful as always, however, had to dodge elk on walk to downtown.

Great service, good location. BUT Heat was not working so had to get extra blankets and space heater. Front office was prompt in addressing problem when we reported it however we learned this was reported before but hadn’t been attended to so this room should have not been offered.

The location is great. The rooms could use some TLC and refreshing, they definitely show their age. It would also have been helpful to know in advance that the room I booked was only accessible via a steep set of outdoor stairs.

The pool area and restaurant are very nice, but we made the mistake of booking a "basic" room, which was literally the size of a jail cell, with no view whatsoever. Even though we arrived before noon on a Sunday, we were told there were no rooms with a balcony available, which was hard to believe. I'd strongly advise against booking the "basic" room. Also, the surrounding area wasn't very appealing. The adjacent Playa del Coco has muddy sand and murky water, as do the other nearby beaches, Playa Ocotal and Playa Hermosa, all of which also lack any rental chairs, umbrellas, or other basic facilities. The beaches (and hotels) farther south are better.

Location is at entrance of Ecola State Park. Loved to be able to run out front door and into park.

Great lodge with cleanliness and convenience to town.
Please put a dishwasher in the units, especially family units that sleep 6-8.
An update with a dishwasher would be wonderful.
This will be a determining factor on returning to Ecola Lodge.

Nothing fancy about the property but clean and roomy room. Location is the end of town and bit away from main street. We walked to Haystack Rock during low tide in the morning and coming back walking on the main street, had a wonderful breakfast at Pig'n Pancake.

Older property, but clean and in a good location. Micro/fridge included, good water pressure, pleasant staff, good value.

Quiet, cozy, comfy - everything you want in a stay on the Oregon Coast
Feels secluded but within walking distance of restaurants, shops, and the beach. Room was spacious and comfortable.
We will stay again!
