Stayed for one night with my husband. Room was pretty, clean, comfy. It's a historic building in Deadwood, the floors squeaked, windows are thin so you can hear the street, doors are noisy, but it was an absolute joy to stay in, we'll definitely be coming back! Bed was comfy, lovely fabrics, polite staff, complimentary beverages, free parking, super close to Main St destinations đź‘Ť

Stayed in 5/6, the room is beautiful however at checkin we found AC not working, the desk called the owner and he did find a tripped breaker. For the price not worth it for us. The elevator smelled strongly of Kilz primer. The bed had no headboard, only 1 40W light in toilet /shower, no cold water working in the shower, The lady at the pm desk didnt know when the desk opened in the AM. The lady in AM was not at the desk had to wait 5 minutes for her to appear. The building is at a 4 way stop sign and it was diesel trucks and motorcycles at ALL hours with the original old single payne windows it was like standing on the sidewalk. The coffee provided in the morning was luke warm, No breakfast but overpriced diner on 1st floor.

Lovely, historical period property in the heart of Deadwood. The clawfoot bathtub with hand held shower in place of a free standing shower took a minute to wrap or heads around, but was quaint with no inconvenience to our modern expectations. Our room was quite clean with a very plush comfy bed and luxurious sheets and beautiful antique furnishings. Our incoming flight into Rapid City was delayed significantly. I called to make management aware of our situation and they ( and the owner) stayed past normal check-in hours to accommodate us and provided exceptional service. Would most definitely stay again.

Great place to stay. Everything you need is close by and it's location is 1 block away from the hustle and bustle of the main drag! My preferred location for the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally. Wonderful owners of the quaint hotel.

Beautiful hotel. Veey well done keeping the historic feeling that fits right in Deadwood.

I have never been so welcomed by such wonderful staff before. Me and my friend ended up arriving an hour and a half after check-in time closed due to traffic and storm conditions since we were staying in Colorado the day before we drove up here, and they called to confirm if we were on our way and that we could text them to tell them that we had arrived. And they were SUPER kind and helpful with getting us set up and in our room. Very personable and I loved chatting with them if I ever saw them.
The room was super cute, and the rest of the hotel was really nice too.
I absolutely will be staying in this hotel again if I am ever in the area.

Hotel is a nice historical hotel. Our room was very cute. Severe downfall, there is glass at the tops of the doors, we had two glass panes in our room looking out into the hallway. They keep hallway lights on and it shines through the glass directly into the room. So it never gets dark. We stayed two nights, and didn't sleep hardly at all. It's so light in the room you could almost read a book. Unfortunately they do not have anything to cover the windows with. We will not be staying here again.

It was fun to stay in a historic hotel which was decorated true to original tome. Our stay was cut short but we enjoyed the one night we stayed.

If you're looking for the 'old west' hotel experience without the dingy carpet, this is the place! It's so tastefully updated while retaining the history, staff is amazing, super friendly and willing to help ensure you have a great experience. and, a short walk to main street. highly recommend a stay here!

The Martin and Mason never disappoints. Wonderful hotel for couples or single. Rooms are beautifully decorated and despite being simple amenities it is perfect. Not your cookie cutter hotel!

The lobby is depressing, basically a casino. Room is dark and uninviting.

Super friendly. Great history. The owner gives you some back story and walks you to the room. Coffee in the morning, right outside the door. The rooms are soooooo pretty.

It was nice

I loved the room at the M&M. It was like walking back in time, also very clean and beautiful. I liked how the hotel offered complimentary bottled water and soft drinks. The owner was friendly and he walked us to our room.
The location is great. The hotel is a short walk to the Silverado casino and the Franklin Hotel. It's also within walking distance of all the other downtown restaurants.
Areas that could be improved. I thought the casino area was a tad dark and certainly didn't reflect the beauty of the rooms. I also was surprised the hotel room didn't have an iron. If one was available, I couldn't find it. Otherwise, this was an enjoyable stay. I will definitely reserve a room again in the future.
