Conveniently located.
B&B advertised, but only after booking do you get an e-mail to say there’s no breakfast offered. Not sure if the price reflects this, as for a room only basis it is quite pricey.

The stay was really great – I found that Martyn and Aamir were really friendly and accommodating with my requests.

We had a great stay for 2 nights. It’s a nice walk into centre of Oxford. The room was clean and tidy. Nice comfortable bed. Good value. Staff really lovely and friendly.

The floors were very noisy, disturbing guests below. We were given a room on the 4th floor and there was no lift. There was not always an agent onsite. There was a very convenient lot to park the car at no expense.

Pretty decent place but I think it’s overpriced

Adequate housing. Tight room. Bed not real comfortable. Had to walk over a mile to the train station when it advertised as "close" to the station. 3/4 mile to the Oxford sites.

While this small hotel is situated on a main road in Oxford, it was still a very nice facility to stay in. Buses are easy to catch into town, and there are several nice and small restaurants close by that are easily walked to. Even though they don’t serve breakfast, they are accommodating with their facilities if you purchase food locally and need to store something, along with providing dishes and cutlery. The rims are very comfortable, and the en suite bathroom is very nice. Would recommend this property without hesitation.

Great host!

Like the place but very poor sound proof could hear people moving around from 6am so poor sleep
4.0
it did the job. Relatively frugal on services offered. Limited parking was a drawback.

Very friendly staff. Easy to walk to the center

Largest room we stayed at the whole time in the UK. And our daughter actually had a bed and not a pull out couch.

Great location, easy walk into Oxford city centre. Staff very friendly and helpful, especially Amirr. We arrived early hoping to drop the bags off, but we were lucky and our room was ready so able to get straight in. The car park around the back has spaces for 6 cars, so advise to get there early, it was about 11.30am when we arrived and were only car there. It is an old building but has been renovated tastefully with neutral decor throughout. The en-suite whilst quite small was perfectly functional with a good shower and plenty of shower gel etc. The fan in the room was a very welcome addition on a warm night.
The only negative which may be a problem for some people were the amount of stairs up to some of the floors. If this could be a problem I would suggest requesting a lower floor. For us it was ok being on the top floor and possibly quieter. Although they no longer serve breakfast at Newton House, there is so much choice in Oxford it self. If walking is a problem then there was a bus stop just a short walk away.
Would definitely recommend for a short visit to Oxford.

Very clean, quiet, easy check in, room is great - bed is super comfortable (not too soft), I’m just really happy with my choice to stay here.

Great location with the bonus of parking. The room was very clean, comfy bed and a great shower! Perfect for a few days in Oxford!

The property itself was wonderful. We had a lovely room at the top of the building. Furnishings and cleanliness were excellent. 2 drawbacks- if you were elderly, or not in the best of shape, carrying cases to the top floor would be a difficult task. Unfortunately, we arrived in 29 degree heat, and the room was extremely hot!!!! Great walking distance to Oxford city centre!

Room was fine but smelled weird (damp maybe) as did hallways. Perfectly functional for one night.

Cool place , good for walking Oxford

We were collecting our daughter from University so needed an overnight stay as we live in the north. We used car park which was a godsend and free. Easy short walk into town centre. Room was clean and comfortable, it had a fan which was helpful as it was hot. Would highly recommend and we would stay again.

Really friendly and fun welcome when checking in.
Great location - so easy to walk from.
Small niggle that the small bin in the room hadn’t been emptied from previous occupant but it was only a couple of teabags so we weren’t too bothered. Everything else was spotless.

Newton House was clean, comfortable and well presented. The welcome was friendly, helpful and efficient. Our room was spacious and well equipped with a lovely bathroom and good shower. It was a pleasant walk into the city and had we had more time we would have taken advantage of the proximity to the river walks and Christ Church Meadow. Our room did face the road, but with good double glazing and less traffic overnight we were not disturbed. There are two pubs very close by. The high score on Expedia is well earned.

Check in was easy, room was spacious and clean. Walking distance to Oxford city centre.
It was quite noisy, we were able to hear the people walking upstairs. Bathroom was big and clean, but no shekf to put things on whatsoever, had to store everything on the ground.

Friendly staff, clean and tidy room and nice and quiet. Within a 10 minute walk to the town.

Wonderful stay, very clean and very kind hosts! Thank you for making our short stay in Oxford a good one!

It was really easy checking in. There is first come first served free parking at the back. It's a really close distance to the town centre and is walkable in nice weather. The room was spacious and clean with plenty of space. The bathroom was modern and had a Good warm/powerful shower. There is a working TV and kettle on the room. The only downside was the lack of towels. There was only one bath towel.
I had contact with the manager Aamir who was friendly and helpful who had provided us a cot for our child.

Nice place for the price. Great location, easy walk to downtown.

Perfect for a short stay in Oxford, 15 min walk to the centre. Quaint rooms, tastefully decorated.
the only downside is the walls are very thin and you can almost hear conversations in the rooms around you. Overall a good stay. Host greeted us when we arrived.
Parking available but tight space for example for bigger cars
