Excellent dining and service. Good breakfast. Nice and tidy room with comfy.beds.

The room and spa was fine. A bit on the pricy side for what you get, but overall not bad.
What ruined the entire weekend was the food.
Waiting an hour for a tiny portion with absolutely zero spices is not okay. When we complained they offered us a free dessert, so service staff was good at least, but the food was horrible.
This went full circle at breakfast when the scrambled eggs didn’t even have salt on them.
Tip for anyone going there is to eat somewhere else. Anywhere else.
Will not go there again.

Totalt et veldig flott hotell. Men alt for lite og trange parkerings plasser .

Nice and clean hotel, very helpful and accommodating staff.

The facilities are a bit tired and the beds are really soft. We changed rooms from the spa house to the main house after 2 nights. The bed was marginally better/newer and the room was a bit fresher. The reception staff were empathetic to our problem with the beds, but told us all the beds are the same.
From the spa we only used the outdoor hot tub and the indoor pool. The hot tub was not so hot and the pool was quite warm.
The breakfast spread is good, hot food included. But they stop refilling it for the later seatings so you may not get bacon if you're not an early riser.
The restaurant for dinner was the highlight. Excellent food and friendly staff.
While the whisky selection large, the regular bar staff aren't very knowledgable about it. So do your research ahead of time (and watch the price list!) or be sure to come when they're offering a scheduled tasting (presumably this would be better, but there were no tastings during our stay so I can't say for sure).

What a wonderful hotel to stay!
So great swimming pool and jacuzzi bath!
Free refreshments by the pool ...
Great amenity, Bath robe and slippers....
Good AC (air conditioning), very clean and nice.
We loved this place and from now on we always would like to come to stay in this hotel. It’s a new our favourite place to spend our free time. Additionally this hotel takes Covid19 so seriously, that it’s very clean and for breakfast and fitness or wellness, you must book time in order to avoid too many people at the same time.
They clean dining-tables very often with disinfectant liquid (consideration for Corona). We felt very safe at this hotel.

Nice hotel with very friendly staff and good food.
Beds were not comfortable and playground outside needs to be updated. But overall good location and we enjoyed our stay.

The Hotel tradition back back to the 18th century. It is well kept and has it's own whiskey distillery. An outside, an indoor pool and a spa with Sauna and whirlpool rounds up the advantages. It is located close to the baltic sea and only a short drive away from a small shopping center or over the bridge to Kalmar. Within five minutes you can walk to the small harbor that has some restaurants.

Little light in service, outdoor swimming pool needed some cleaning but nice hotel, nice spa, nice area, very good beds, a real 4 star.

Found a bug in my room. Got no excuse only a different room, same category. My 2 collegues were both upgraded and got free pool access - I was told there are no other rooms. Later she said she could upgrade me for 1000 sek extra. Breakfast was nothing special however the dinner (plankstek) was good.

The hotel and adjacent spa was very nice, clean and comfortable. However, our evening in the restaurant was very disappointing. Either they were short of staff or had too many events going on at the same time - the waitresses seemed to have very little time for the customers. After being seated, we waited in vain for someone to take our order or offer us a drink and ended up going out for a sandwich at the local grocery store. We returned later for a drink in the bar and after being told the waitress would be right with us, she disappeared again downstairs to the whiskey bar and then took care of other customers - never to be seen again at our table! We flagged down another waitress who served us, but it felt as if it we were inconveniencing her. Restaurant service definitely needs some work, otherwise the place was fine.

Really better to stay here only if you are interested in the spa facilities. Not a place I would return too

Generally speaking it was a nice place. But the windows were at specific places dirty and the breakfast with law quality (tasteless).

Nice hotel, good breakfast spread (meat and dairy free options too, which was hugely appreciated).

Ok hotel, but overpriced as much at Oland overall. Bed quite hard, woke up when sun rose since blinds were not covering enough to keep room dark.
Ok small and sparse selection buffet breakfast, nothing special. Plus though for gluten and lactose -free. Ok for a night stay, but overpriced.

This is a very nice hotel located in a great location on Öland, Sweden. The lobby bar are was very nice, and the breakfast buffet / dining area was also very nice. The rooms were perfectly fine, and comfortable, but the best part of the hotel was the Restaurant! We ate there the first night, and had a wonderful meal! We intended to eat out at a restaurant at the nearby Marina on our second night, but when it was fully booked, we had a second wonderful meal at the hotel! The third night we didn't even bother to go out, but instead ate at the hotel's restaurant a third time! Wonderful food, wonderful service - we would do it all again, and probably will sometime soon!

Food:
Restaurant is a bit pricey but has little competition on the island. A lighter bite selection (burgers, sandwiches, salads) would have been better than just a la carte. Although there was a lunch buffet. Breakfast buffet was good, but it should be made more obvious its possible and easier to eat outside when the weather is good.
Room:
Comfortable, bed way too soft for me but that's a preference. Could have used some larger towels.
Spa:
Nice pool, and clam room, with sauna and hot tubes. Worth a visit and adds to the stay but it's not going to win many awards as a spa. There are also some heated hot tubes outside which is not so clear if you need spa access for, probably not, and they were the best to sit out with a beer.

The hotel is nice but the service is awful! The reception closes at 21:00 so late arrivals should be communicated but it was impossible to reach them on the phone and always got answering machine so we got very nervous what to do if the reception is closed. Desperately we phoned hotels.com and that service was great, they calmed us and offered solution in a case of a closed reception.
The hotel looks nice as well as the surroundings but the room was rather small and simple for the price charged of almost 200USD. High prices due to harvest festival. Absolutely not worth it! And above that high price they charge extra ridiculously much for the use of the pool. The breakfast was good.

Resort type hotel on Oland Island
Perfect room clean and comfortable
Beautiful and helpful desk clerk Sophia fixed a mixup in our reservation to get third person in our party Ron with regular bed instead of golf out third bed.
Couldn't have been treated nicer
Outstanding breakfast
Great place to stay before driving around Oland island, well worth seeing

My wife and I were very happy with our 4 day stay. The room was well appointed, immaculate. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom. Nice desk staff.
The location was perfect. Both breakfast and lunch buffets were good although expensive. Sweden is expensive anyway.
We had massages in the spa. Excellent.
Would highly recommend the spa and hotel.

Hotel looks really good from the outside. Inside in the main house it is a bit disappointing. Quiet dirty in the entrance in front of the stairs.
Room on the ground floor was ok and quiet. However a bit dark and furnished with old looking furniture. Could be renovated. Not cosy.
Located 200 metres from the seaside, no seaview (on an island). Some of the surrounding buildings looked a bit shabby.

We requested a queen bedded room with spa access. On check in we were not offered the room requested and told we might be able to change the next day. Dinner the same evening was not up to standard, main course mussels were perfect but pomme frites were cold and had been cooked in stale oil. We emailed the hotel and the response we received was offhand almost to the point of rudeness'. (Sophia)
The following evening we ate at Kaj4 resteraunt on the quayside, a fabulous meal, a great teams of staff and a perfect location 😃

This is a charming Swedish hotel with multiple amenities. We had a lovely dinner (Arctic Char, Body cakes and pasta) at the hotel restaurant. There is an indoor pool of pretty good size, with adjacent hotub, nice since the weather was rainy outside. Rooms modern and clean. Great location not far from the mainland bridge, so easy to go north or south on Oland.

This is an OK hotel with very friendly and helpful staff. The room was a superior room with a small balcony that overlooked the pool. It was very nice to sit there in the evenings for a while before and after dinner. The space in the room for clothes was limited. Myself and my husband were there for 5 nights and we had 6 hangers and 2 drawers between us so we didn't unpack but lived out of our cases for the duration. The bathroom was good, it felt roomy due to the fold back doors on the nice shower. The breakfast was also nice.
