Not good was put up at Bridge View said it was an up grade, desk clerk was arguing that my booking was court yard put me facing the back of the lobby and shed,large cobwebs in room no hotel info available for ice or snack location orTV service, used Ironingboard for a luggage rack, next day got message after reading my feed back front desk leaves text that she was willing to give me another up grade room back a SunriseBridge View was offering rooms for $69.00 a night I paid $89.00 for a couple of rooms I didn’t get yet was told I got an up grade, ONLY IN THE PRICE I PAID, so I can’t offer a review on stay a Sunriise as I didn’t get an honorary reservation!!!!

Booked one of the Deluxe King rooms with a lake view that was fully remodeled (please see reference photo), or so I thought. Upon check in and entering our room, it was obvious it wasn’t at all how the photos would have you believe (I have attached the photos as well). I immediately called Hotels.com and was told we needed to speak to the hotel employee to see if they would cancel for us as there was nothing else that could be done. I was also informed that the photos uploaded so us customers can see what they look like, are not confirmed in any way so they can upload anything they prefer. Of course they wouldn’t cancel for us, but we were offered the option of paying more money for a room that looked the photos and what was booked in the first place!! Complete scam artists in our opinion and I advise everyone to take that into consideration when booking with them.

This property deserves a zero rating! The room doesn’t look anything like the pictures that were shown. The first room we were brought to didn’t even have a light switch on the wall that worked paint was literally peeling off the wall in 4 x 6 chunks and the bathroom looked like it was 30 years old and had never been scrubbed. I immediately turned around and told the receptionist that the room would not work for the evening and we needed something else. She brought us to a family owned property just two blocks away and this room was even more disturbing. There were blood spots on the sheets, big huge stain on the wall, looked like something was thrown against it, chunks of laminate out of the desk, the bathroom floor was nearly completely worn through the linoleum, and the shower had black mold where the grout should be on the ground. There is no way that this hotel can possibly pass any kind of inspection. We decided to drive back home instead of staying at this filthy nasty place. We had reservations on September 1 which was right before the Mackinaw bridge run and we’re charged $298, we were told it was completely non-refundable! When I was told, I wanted the card of a manager, she kind of laughed and said I am the manager, and we don’t have any Business cards. I simply can’t tell you enough, DO NOT stay at this place!

Room bore absolutely NO resemblance to the photos on Expedia. AND there were many other tenants who were having electrical issues as we were. I'm sure the 4-5 room appliances plugged into a singe powerboat was a violation of codes. Should be reported to the appropriate city officials. This is a family owned property and they own three ogthers nearby. Wouldn't be surprised if there were the same. Cannot believe people who age this an excellent rating.

Passable for a one night say, bed was clean but very hard. Air conditioning did not work and could not open the windows because the screens had many holes. Beautiful view of Lake Huron and the Mackinac Bridge.

The view was nice The sliding glass door lock did not work. The entry way door had to kick it open or hard shoulder it. Parking was tight for big vehicles. The pool was green.

I’m so glad we tried this place ! The view the beach right outside your door dogs were allowed. I didn’t take my dogs but I got to visit with others. The beds were good the room was clean. I was shocked at the water pressure! I have long hair and after being on a motorcycle my hair needs lots of conditioner to get the knots out. Most places with the water pressure the hot water runs out because it takes so long to rinse the conditioner out. NOT HERE !!! And the hair dryer didn’t take 45 minutes to dry my hair. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK !!!

Never again would i stay there. The staff was rude,the rooms are unbarely gross (holes in the was mold in the bathroom with a musty odor) the pool was unswimmable. I actually did not stay there and they would not reimburse my money

The location is fantastic! The staff is very friendly! The price is good. Walk out of your room and wade into the lake. We loved everything about the Sunrise Motel except the room. Smelled musty and is in desperate need of updating. The bathroom doesn’t have a fan so after a shower the whole room feels damp. The toilet seat was very loose. The bed was comfortable and the bedding was clean. Overall we were satisfied with the Sunrise however some minor updates are definitely due.

They have recently remodeled and it is beautiful. The view was better than a lot of the big name places. It was quiet and right on the beach. I will absolutely come back and look forward to staying here again. We were on the second floor and I was more than pleased with our room, balcony and view. We got there after hours and the staff was incredibly accommodating and kind. 10/10 completely recommend

This is a great little motel that is in the middle of face-lift. Our room was so nice. It was newly remodled floor to ceiling knotty pine. Beds were very comfortable. Great views of the bridge and own private beach. Can't wait to stay again.

This property is fun because if you secure a waterfront room, the lake is accessible right outside your room. But….. the two pools and the hot tub weren’t working. 5/6 in our group wanted the pools. We should’ve been informed about this. Second, the inside of the rooms were clean but outside on the walls and grass, it was dirty. There are bugs, cobwebs and goose poop everywhere. I’m an outside person but it was gross. Lastly, my cc was charged before I even arrived. I don’t appreciate that. I’m not sure I’d stay at that location in the future.

We arrived early (12:30-ish) anticipating that a room would not be ready - surprisingly it was but it was on the second floor, and I was recovering from a knee replacement and requested a first-floor room. We were told "no problem" but it would not be ready until later so come back at 4:00 - that worked great for us as we were going to Mackinac Island. We returned to the hotel at 7:10 pm and were given the key to our room., When we got there, it was still being cleaned and the room cleaner said he needed another 20- 30 minutes because no one told him this room was rented out. We went back to the front desk to explain and the woman told us that we would just have to wait in our car until he was done - she said that "housekeeping fell behind" (3 hours behind???). So we waited in our car (motel was 100% booked) - housekeeping said they were done and we unloaded the car - only to find that the door would not lock nor even stay shut. So we went back to the front desk and the same woman came to our room to confirm that, "yes, something is wrong". She had to call maintenance and by the time it was fixed (something was wrong with the door frame weather stripping?) we had waited a full hour and half before we could relax and unwind after a long day. The attitude of the front desk lady was terribly disrespectful - implying that WE were the issue causers when we had nothing to do with it except pay $300 for the night!

Rooms were nice and clean. Great view of the Bridge and awesome little beach for kids to play on. Room were a little small, but no problem for one night. Pool was a little run down and wasn't heated, but kids still went in. Loss of star was our room wasn't ready when we arrived after check out time and at first we were given a key to the wrong sized room. Staff quickly corrected and were very nice.

I would advise people to stay in a tent over this place! Photos in ad are not what the rooms look like, bathroom looks more like a out house in size plastic showering area cramped room size. Not worth what they charge.

Room booked was awful. We requested to update our room and the front desk was very helpful and got us a really nice room for more money but it was worth it. We were very happy with our stay there then.

The property had a nice laid-back feel and is right off Lake Huron, many rooms have a view of the lake which is literally feet away. The rooms have a fridge and a microwave. It is also within walking distance of the boats to Mackinac Island. The staff is great, particularly Monique who checked me in. She was extremely pleasant as well as knowledgeable. I would definitely return and with any luck, maybe Monique will be there👍

The place they put us in was no where close to the picture they advertised. Our TVs didn't work ( in either room). we had ants in our bathroom and it was just very old and I would never have booked there if the photo was accurate. Would NOT recommend.

I was nervous after reading the reviews but was pleasantly surprised with our deluxe lake view bridge view room. It is still under renovation so the phone is not able to be used. Maintenance man fixed TV and the hot water as soon as I let management know they were not working. The shower is very nice. No housekeeping but we were okay with that. You have to get your towels off the housekeeping cart but not all kinds of towels were on it. We managed. You can go swimming if you don’t mind sharing the beach with the geese and ducks who leave their poo everywhere. We chose not to go to the beach area because of this. The refrigerator was nice to have in the room The motel is conveniently situated so it easy to get to the downtown area and the parks.

I would definitely stay there again! It’s on the water, it’s lovely. I had the added gift of seeing the fireworks over the bridge last night, which was awesome. The place was exceptionally clean. Staff was friendly. The only thing that I would add is perhaps it could have a couple more racks in the bathroom to hang towels once you’ve use them for washcloths, etc. highly recommend !

Family owned , freindly. Location of room on water was great. we had a ground floor room with covered patio overlooking Lake Huron. Individual Fire pit on grass outside the room, then sand beach with lounge chairs. Nighttime views of the lights on the Mackinaw Bridge and Mackinaw Island were fabulous. Simple accomadation but comfortable
