The most amazing service I’ve ever received. I stayed with three friends in a two queen ocean view room. At checkin, they provide you a convenient bracelet as your room key and give you a glass of champagne. We stayed on the 9th floor, but the elevators are so fast, it was very convenient. The pool was so amazing. There were three different pools and a hot tub. My favorite pool is the infinity one overlooking the ocean. And they’ll set up pool chairs for you with complementary sunscreen and spa water. It was heavenly. I’d let the manager know we were celebrating a milestone birthday, and they gave us complementary champagne and chocolate strawberries. It was amazing!

This is just a fabulous property. We could not have enjoyed our stay more. The lobby bar, the restaurants, the pools and the truly incredible team that manages this property. To the extremely comfortable rooms. It's a little old school in styling. And the hotel doesn't have the best section of beach. But we would return to San Juan just to stay here. Pro tip: Yes the restaurants are pricey but the quality is infinitely better than many of the locations near the hotel. You have to get out and explore PR, of course. But not necessarily Condado. Enjoy being pampered at the Vanderbilt.

My husband and I stayed at the Condado Vanderbilt in late August for his birthday. Overall, it was a nice experience. The room was nice, the bed was comfy, we had an ocean view King in the West Tower and it being a corner room, we also had a great view of the bay as well. The fitness facility was adequate, so we were able to enjoy our morning workouts. There were several restaurants on the property for convenience, but they were quite pricey. The are several pool areas, one with an infinity pool and one with a hot tub, these were excellent! The only downside is there is no beach on the immediate property. You have to leave the property through a side gate to get to a public beach, where a small section is designated for hotel guests. A couple of issues to be aware of regarding the room are the lighting in the bedroom in the evening is extremely dim. There are zero ceiling lights, and the only lighting is tiny bulbs in the bedside lamps. When getting dressed for an evening out, trying to check yourself in the full length mirror is quite difficult since it's so dark. The bathroom is somewhat spacious, but there is simply a standalone sink at a mirror with zero counter space. It's impossible for two people to be at the vanity at the same time and for a woman with cosmetics and hair products, there's barely room to put anything! The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful, and we had a great experience checking in and checking out. Overall a nice hotel!

False advertising about upgrade pricing for ocen view rooms paid for the upgrade but when checked in was told the only way to get ocen view is to upgrade again to a suite. So all others rooms have same street view but they are advertising to pay extra to upgrade to ocen view rooms

Our suite was FANTASTIC! The infinity pool was a great feature. The adult only swimming area was a nice touch. The proximity to Condado Beach and the provided lounge chairs & umbrellas was awesome. The staff/service was amazing.

The Vanderbilt was absolutely beautiful! I loved the location. We had so many restaurants and shops near by and a beautiful view. The pool and facilities were excellent. We had the most kind and helpful staff. The room was gorgeous and clean. The only downside is you really cannot swim in the ocean on Condado beach, the beach attached to the hotel as the rip tide is dangerous, however there are numerous excellent swimming beaches nearby. I would absolutely recommend the Vanderbilt as my husband, kids and I LOVED it!!!

This is a beautiful hotel. Our room was spacious and the big windows made it very bright during daylight hours. The service at the pools and bars was excellent. The price of drinks and food was outrageous but there were a lot of reasonable and delicious options within a short walk of the hotel. The beach is not directly behind the hotel, however; if you walk through the park next door, the hotel has included beach chairs and towel service/water at the end of the main beach that was convenient and easy to enjoy.

The stay at the Candado Vanderbilt Hotel was amazing. Entering the hotel takes you back to the glory days of the 1920’s. The accommodations and amenities are extremely amazing. The staff is friendly and willing to help you any way they can. There are numerous restaurants and other properties that offer an array of food and drinks. The views from our room were amazing.

Overall a beautiful property and friendly staff. Especially, housekeeping and guest services. The only downside, was the food was not good at all. Additionally, in case of inclement weather the property should have had some entertainment options for guests.
